I made it to the gym this morning. And I'm down another pound.
I had a healthy dinner planned last night, but we ended up ordering pizza instead. Ugh. We did get thin crust though...so I'm trying to rationalize in my head that it was healthier that way.

Omg, I had the biggest tantrum this morning. Screaming and saying no over everything. He wouldn't let me dress him or do his hair (which he normally loves for me to do).

Good moring, doglover31! Lost a pound despite the pizza? Call that a WIN!
I'm working from home today. I will be taking periodic breaks to continue packing. Today's focus is thinning out my pathetic wardrobe and getting rid of all the ugly, ill-fitting stuff. Who said earlier this week that you look in your closet, and you're like "I HATE EVERYTHING" but then when it's time to toss the ugly stuff, for some reason you get SO attached to it? I need that to not happen.
I will also make a yummy bean salad to take to a friends house on Saturday, and a baked ziti for DH and L to have for dinner while I go out with a girlfriend.
But I already feel accomplished for the day because i did some personal grooming.
I love working from home. I'll get home stuff accomplished, and still get more work done than I would if I were in the office!

I'm up, still feel depressed about my weight. I know what I need to do to fix it and obviously I need to do it if anyone thinks I look preggo at all. Hello salads! I also was feeling super down about working all the time. I guess being self employed is a blessing and a curse. You have to work a lot, which is very rewarding on that side of things, but then your not home a lot. Networking is big so I have to go to these events all the time. DH is great about watching N but I feel like I'm never home. Sorry for the downer, just not in a good head space I guess...

designaddiction, a while back we had a healthy recipes thread going. Maybe if we resurrect that, you could get some idea's for good-for-you-food that don't feel boring and diet-y?

@100poppies I have been trying for a few weeks now, I guess that's not really that long, but not seeing results much, I know it's diet related. I used to be able to work out like mad and the weight would fall off quick, but that was pre baby. I need to be healthy anyway. judyblume14 I'll have to go dig out that thread.
Add me to the depressed about weight and just overall look. At least most of you are trying, I need to get some serious motivation going especially with the nice weather finally here

@giamia923 , yay to a 3 day weekend! any news on your offer?? Isnt there a time limit when you should find out?
@lildiamondeyes , trainings and meetings are the worst.
Nothing yet. I'm about to email the realtor to see what's going on.... they did decline our original offer and countered which we declined. I'm not sure how it all works if they later decide they want to revisit our original offer or if we have to offer again? It's still on the market as of right now. Hoping they come back around.
Yeah your realtor should be able to tell you this. I'm pretty sure since both parties declined you would need to decide if you were going to counter offer again
doglover31, yay for making it to the gym! Sorry LO is being a toddler this morning. Simple things aren't so simple anymore when your toddler decides to do go nuts. Ugh. I feel you.
judyblume14, I love working from home too! I feel double productive! Everyone keeps telling me to "Konmari" have you read that organization book? If ti doesn't bring you joy, toss it. Lol I haven't read it but it seems like good advice?
jt2378, Yay for it being your Friday! Also I saw your picture before, you are pretty. But I'm sorry you feel down about your weight. That's an awful feeling.
designaddiction, ::hugs:: Nothing worst than a comment from nowhere about something you're struggling with and are actually trying to tackle. I'm sorry, lady. Get a pedicure? Buy new makeup? To make you feel good about something about your physical appearance now and then still workout so you feel in control. When I have bad days, as long as I have a good shirt on I know I at least don't look like a slob. Lol
@lildiamondeyes, Training and meetings. Ouch. Sounds like a long day. I hope you get an awesome lynch out of it.
@100poppies, What's going on with you today?
@giamia923, FX on the offer! And sorry work is such a stressful place. Hopefully it's half over by now?
N40Mom, I like the turning around the hanger thing! That's so clever. I need to do that. I hold on to everything.
I also just got a call from a vendor who checks in every year around this time. I always answer with "Hi, this is [my name]." He just sent me a follow up email that says "Hi, Connie, it was nice talking to you." My name isn't Connie. It's not even close to Connie. It's making my laugh ... when I'm not falling asleep.
Does he always call you Connie? Hahahaha Or is it a different name every time?
H was out late playing cards so I ended up on night duty two nights in a room and of course J woke up at 2:30 both nights. Today is picture day at school so I sent her in a dress. Every time she wears a dress she pulls it up over her head. She walked right into class this morning, walked over to the two boys already there, said hi and pulled her dress up. I hope she grows out of this before she wears her flower girl dress.
Hahahaha! But the wedding will be even more interesting!

N40Mom, does your email address include your name? Like, if i was emailing Mary dot Smith at Company dot com, I would heistate before greeting "Connie"...
N40Mom, I'm sorry but I'm just picturing this in my head and LOL! (of course I have no idea what J looks like since you NEVER share so I'm picturing my H doing this)

@giamia923, since you declined their counter, you never entered into a contract. They sellers will not likely "revisit" your original offer or seek you out. If you are still interested, you would need to submit another offer.
@100poppies, can you please come organize my house? You sound like a pro...
I would add that getting rid of things is easier for me when I know it is going to a good cause. We donated some of DH's business-y clothes (a suit from college, shoes that didn't fit right) to a charity that provides interview/professional work clothes to people who can't afford them. We also donated clothes to the thrift shop run by a local church--all profits go to the food pantry, and they give free clothes/school supplies to families in need. If I know it's really going to be used well rather than sitting on a rack at goodwill, I'm more likely to get rid of it.

Yes - melw629! Back in the Fall I collected a big bag of clothes to date to my friend's new non-profit. The clothes will go to under-privileged highschool and college students in my town who need them for interviews! As I was getting the bag together, I left a lot of stuff in my closet... and I haven't work that stuff since! Time to donate!

@100poppies, +1 come and organize my house. And lol at the "Konmari". One of my friends swears by it too and I tell her "I'm not joining your Konmari cult!"
anniebn, Oh man, first trimester sucks. Hang in there, lady. Step out of the office if you can, sometimes that helped me.

This exactly... @giamia923, realtors suck, they should be telling you this!
