What symptoms are you having? I have been so blessed that the last week has been nearly symptom free. I needed that this week! The first tri is almost over so yay!
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? We got almost all moved yesterday and oh my goodness it's so much harder when pregnant. Everything hurts. It's pathetic and funny.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Not really, I don't know many.

Lol danib, I remember crying once when my mom sang me You Are My Sunshine because I didn't understand why someone would want to take me away. Now I love it (FFSC I sing it to Sophie on the daily).
That's so cute sophiegrace. C never vried when I sang it, only if someone else did. My niece (5 yrs old at the time) heard mr singing it to DS one evening, and in a way that only kids can express, she said "is C your sunshine? You really love him." Melted my heart.
Absolutely adorable!! Little ones can be so in tune and observant sometimes.

What is your baby the size of? Apricot
What symptoms are you having? Still some nausea/throwing up, tired a lot. Lower abdomen is starting to get rounder.
Do you have any appointments this week? No. Nothing for several weeks again.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Really excited our nt scan went so well. We are planning to announce in a couple of weeks once DH's schedule for next year is set. He doesn't want them to take away any of his classes due to the baby. Gotta come up with something clever since we did a video with our animals for L.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

How many weeks are you? 11w4d
What is your baby the size of? donut hole
What symptoms are you having? nausea (until yesterday, I hadn't vomited in almost a week, but I've also only been eating like 5 different things that are proven to stay down), tiredness
Do you have any appointments this week? NT scan on Friday
Rants/Raves/Randoms? My dad's reaction when he found out I was pregnant (told my parents yesterday) was, "You're pregnant again?" I said yes, and that was pretty much the extent of things, so that was rather anticlimactic.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? I have to agree with You Are My Sunshine; I sing it to my kids all the time.

How many weeks are you? 10 weeks 3 days
What is your baby the size of? Strawberry
What symptoms are you having? I was hoping by this point nausea would be decreasing but no such luck. Tons of food aversions.
Do you have any appointments this week? Not until 14 weeks
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Why is there absolutely no good alcohol free wine? I have tried all the kinds available in major liquor stores and they are all terrible. Some company is missing the boat here!
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Muffin man - I sing this one to DS and he loves it!
Lol danib, I remember crying once when my mom sang me You Are My Sunshine because I didn't understand why someone would want to take me away. Now I love it (FFSC I sing it to Sophie on the daily).
sophiegrace in the "Mommy and Me" class I take DS to they change the lyrics from "Please don't take my sunshine away" to "I love you everyday." I always thought it was dumb to change the lyrics but maybe they have a good reason lol
What symptoms are you having? I thought I had turned a corner but I felt like crap again today. We cut our trip to the zoo short because I was feeling so poor.
Do you have any appointments this week? Yes, finally! First appointment on Wednesday. I'm hoping we can hear the heartbeat.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Moving while pregnant is the worst. I don't know how I am going to get everything packed and cleaned in the next month.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Baa Baa Black Sheep

Lol shedreamsincolor it's a memory I remember with such clarity. I think I was around four and not feeling well. My mom and I were alone in the car and she was singing to me. Maybe I just didn't understand the words until that point? Either way I started bawling, hard. I'm not sure she ever sang it to me again. I should probably apologize to her...
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? I have 2. I always sang Hush Little Baby and You Are My Sunshine to DS as a baby, and could always soothe him/put him to sleep/etc. However if anyone else sang either of those songs to him he would get soooo upset.
UO? I find You Are My Sunshine to be extremely morbid.

Because the full song is actually really fucking depressing. I'm sorry to be a downer.
UO? I find You Are My Sunshine to be extremely morbid.
But that is a very sweet story, nonetheless.
LOL You are absolutely right. I never really realized until I started singing it over and over, but by then it was stuck. But it totally is morbid.
Have you ever heard (or read) all of the lyrics? To be honest, I never really thought about it much until I heard some of the other verses. Now I just can't shake it.
But I do understand why most people like it, because at face value, the main verse is absolutely sweet.
What is your baby the size of? Babies are the size of limes!
What symptoms are you having? Emotional and hungry
Do you have any appts this week? I wasn't scheduled but I've been having minor intermittent cramps (could be gas pain?) for a couple days and then yesterday I took a fall. I tripped backwards over something and fell on my lower back/tailbone but felt it in my lower stomach. My OB has me coming in at 2 just for a check. NT scan is Monday.
Rants/Raves/Randoms: Definitely less bloated than I have been, I will take it!
QOTW-Do you have a favorite nursery rhyme? Hush little baby.. I don't know too many others lol. But I can't sing nursery rhymes bc for some reason it makes me tear up, like using that singing tone.
kleigh Glad you are getting checked out after your fall, hopefully everything is A-OK!
I think a lot of nursery rhymes can be kind of morbid, if you really start analyzing them. Ring Around the Rosie was about the plague, for ex. Kind of depressing!
What symptoms are you having? Still exhausted. But food aversions are mostly gone. Haven't had too much trouble with insomnia lately.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nt scan tomorrow!
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am so anxious to hear the heart beat and see something that looks like a baby this time. Strangely, I am more excited to tell people as soon as we know it's healthy than I was with DS. I don't know if it is because I now realize how awesome and exciting this is when last time I was just scared and shocked.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Probably Twinkle twinkle little star
shedreamsincolor have you tried Fre wine? It's alcohol free version and I'm curious if it's good or not.
Yes! There was one version of white (Moscato maybe) that was OK but I am a red wine lover and man those were all terrible!
I did try one red when I wasn't pregnant. A pregnant friend brought it to our wine night and it tasted like grape juice to me! But I was drinking the real thing lol

How many weeks are you? 9 weeks
What is your baby the size of? An Eastern trailed-blue butterfly, or a green olive.
What symptoms are you having? So much nausea. I haven't thrown up yet, but I've been on the verge for a few days. At this point I'd love to just puke to see if it makes me feel better.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope, not for a while.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? We told our parents this weekend. They're all excited and I'm happy to not be hiding it anymore. it feels more real now too.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? I always sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and The Itsy Bitsy Spider to DS when he's up set.

How many weeks are you? 12
What is your baby the size of? Peach, clementine, Toy soldier. So many things that seem to be different sizes.
What symptoms are you having? The nausea has gotten a lot better lately. Hopefully the food aversions go away too. Besides that, I get bloated so easily.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm almost done with progesterone! My RE said 12 weeks but I didn't want to abruptly go from 2 a day to none so I've been weening off this week. I think I'm going to stop them this weekend though!
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? Hey Diddle Diddle? I have no idea honestly. It's been so long since I've read those.
What symptoms are you having? I've been feeling so much better these past few weeks. I still have an occasional upset stomach and some insomnia but all in all on the upswing.
Do you have any appointments this week? my first appt was yesterday and we got to hear baby's heart beat. It was so exciting this time. Last time I was just in shock.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Bummed I don't get an ultrasound until I'm 18 plus weeks.
QOTW - Do you have a favourite Nursery Rhyme? It's not a nursery rhyme but I used to sing E to sleep with "Black Bird" by The Beatles. He will still ask for it occasionally. He really likes Ba, ba, black sheep but he likes it sung ba, ba, green sheep and tells me who should get the wool.
