Yesterday I was up early to go watch H run a race. I told him I was submitting a vacation request for next Saturday morning. No alarms, no child responsibility, no nothing. Apparently he realized my current cranky mood maybe due, in part, to some of this and told me to take this morning off too so I am awake but in bed and he and his mom are downstairs with the kidlet. I have to get up and moving soon because we have church but at least I get a little much needed respite.
I have hada return of some energy and have already been quite productive this morning. I made banana bread, cleaned the kitchen including mopping the floors, started some laundry, and fed the little one some breakfast! I am so happy 2nd tri is approaching.
Good morning! H let me sleep in this morning and made pancakes for breakfast. We are planning on heading to the zoo when it opens. I'm hoping the rain holds out so we can see the farm babies today.

hangry wow! That's some serious productivity! I managed to get 1 load of laundry in lol
My goal today is to finish the ironing. Exciting Sunday over here! I also want to take the dog on a long walk. Need to be better about being more active. Sleeping/lounging is so much more appealing.
danib lol at DS! And I 1000% agree with you on the puke and be done vs all day nausea. Last pregnancy I would puke once in the morning and be fine all day this time I have the constant nausea and it is awful.
Speaking for flipping nausea yesterday was the worst and of course MIL is here and we are still keeping quiet (ugh) so it was double rough. I tried the diclegis again last night so hopefully nausea is better and I am not shakey...

aggiebug I'm glad he caught onto your hint and you got some quiet me time this morning.
hangry can I borrow some of that energy? Just enough to get my house clean and then I'll give it back!
Pancakes and the zoo sound amazing buckyb. I hope the weather stays nice for you.
+1 cookswithwine..I hoping as it gets nicer out my motivation to be active again will increase. My whole body just gets tired so quickly and the couch is so comfy.

i'm on the west coast and feel i am up early! haha. you gals have already done a lot for 7:30am over here...
my goals today include laundry and cleaning the guest room/future nursery. i have NO IDEA where I will make a mess when this room is for babies. guess i'll have to move in on my husband's office.. i'm trying to get better laundry habits in check before we have kids and way more laundry. i've just never been good at it.
instead of cleaning we will probably go to breakfast and take the dogs to the beach because we've had beautiful weather.
I haven't let myself puke. i could have a couple times, but i take deep breaths and drink water and lay down if possible. i figured it wouldn't give much relief, but maybe i've been missing out. i've had the all day nausea, and i was fighting so hard to eat anything i didn't want to lose any nutrients! i think I'm less nauseous, so FX for 2nd tri...

I want avocado so so bad. It's something I always love, but never buy because I seem to always miss the perfect ripe window that only lasts about 30 seconds. Hopefully there will be a perfectly ripe one at the store today.
We should hear if our offer for a house was accepted or not today. We've been waiting 2 days already. We know they have at least 1 other offer so we just have to hope. I know there's so much out there that we'll find something else if they say no, but I'm also ready to be done and this house is not only adorable, but has the space we want.
Also working on the garage at our current house (it's full of boxes mostly belonging to my dad so he'll be coming over) and then dinner tonight with him and his gf.
Sad the weekend is almost over, but at least we had a really nice 3 day weekend so far.

Good morning!
We're on our way to finally tell our families that we're pregnant! H bought DS a shirt that says "Promoted to Big Brother", and we're just going to see how long it takes them to figure it out. We're going to the ILs first and then my parents. I think my mom knows something is up though because she kept questioning me about why we're stopping by. They live 45 minutes away, so it's not like we just pop in ever. But I know she's going to be excited.
Also add me to the constant nausea group. All day every day. At this point I'd love to puke just to see if makes me feel better.

That's definitely plan B danib! For some reason they're alway unripe, unripe, unripe, brown and mushy. I think I must get bored or forget they're there.
Enjoy your day tgrimes1980! Lobster sounds absolutely amazing.
Good luck ClassyMrsA I really hope they're going to give you some good news this week.
We are headed home from Charleston; it was a short trip but a much-needed break. DH went to college there and loves getting back for visits, and we always have fun with my sister and BIL who live there; by all accounts DS has had a great weekend with my parents, so win/win
tgrimes1980 have fun with the N13 ladies and tell them I said hi!
jubilantsquirrel enjoy your announcements! My uncle took literally 10-15 min after everyone else saw/freaked out over DS's shirt at Easter to be like, 'Wait, Liz is pregnant?' Haha. There's one in every bunch.

Over-ripe is good for guacamole!
Mmm quac...
How are you feeling? Hanging in there ok with your H being gone? He gets back in a week or so, right?
jubilantsquirrel Enjoy sharing your news!! artmusiclife I'm like you in that I can't stand throwing up, even though it does usually provide immediate relief. I haven't gotten there with pregnancy but pre-pregnancy flu or drink too much, I would just do these deeeep breathing practices and lay down. LizInFL Glad you had a nice quick break in Charleston! How was the weather?
We are just at ourhouse today doing odds and ends. I had a big blow up re: MIL finally and have decided I will not be returning there to ILs. Even though the house isn't yet finished, my mom lives down the street and my sisters are a few towns over so I'll figure it out. I packed up my clothes/personal items and told her off and took off with H. He'll have to stay there because it's the only place we can bring our dog. Hopefully we're apart only a week or two now but honestly the idea of not sleeping next to him is breaking my heart.

Over-ripe is good for guacamole!
I had guacamole with breakfast because we had so many overripe avocados. It was delicious.

Afternoon already! Gorgeous day and we got out for a hike this morning - j even walked for a bit and loved it, but didn't love having to hold hands on the rocky parts so he was in the backpack for most of it. I finally took a "bump/bloat" picture too! First pregnant got weekly pictures in the same outfit, not so much this time.
I need to go sew burp clothes this minute before I forget for my BFF from high schools baby shower next week...but a nap sounds nice too

sophiegrace the perfect avocado is worth a bunch of crappy ones. I almost took a picture of one recently bc it was so perfect. I think if the "stem" falls off easily it's ready...or is green or something. Avocado toast has been a life saver lately.
tallblonde and hangry I was just noticing this morning a bit of a bump, as well. Although it could be all the food I consumed this wknd, haha. But it's definitely more than I had at this point with my first pregnancy.

Yes it's so much earlier and definitely noticeable. I've used the rubber band on my pant buttons trick at few already and will need to dress accordingly until we tell people...in a MONTH, so far away. At least it's reminding me that I'm pregnant since I keep forgetting...it most likely is just bloat and I may be a little backed up, but when I lean back I can see my uterus pop out like a point (not sure if that makes sense).

5 days danib! You got this. I hope in those five days you continue to feel better. Your DS sounds like an angel, I'm so glad he's been cooperating with you.
I'm so sorry kleigh. Your MIL has put you through the wringer and from the stories you have shared you are a saint for lasting as long as you did. I hope everything at your house comes together quickly so your family can be together again soon.
tallblonde I'm definitely seeing changes so I need to get to taking some pictures soon. I know I'll regret it later on if I don't. I agree with your perfect avocado sentiment. I wish I had one right now. I've never had avocado toast, but have seen it everywhere lately. Looks like I know what I'll be trying next. Bet it would be perfect for me with some egg thrown in for the mornings where I know I won't get much of a mid morning break.

There was another listeria recall put out yesterday from a frozen food company. The company is CRF frozen foods, but they package for multiple companies that go nationwide and parts of Canada. The specific packages are up on the fda.gov site.
