Wednesday evening for me. Watching the finale of the latest Australian Married at First Sight. Watching people break up on national television is so awful. I'll be hugging H extra hard when he finally walks in the door - do not ever want to re-enter the dating game.
Morning! I'm teaching today, but I'm not sure what since the fourth graders I'm usually with have science state tests this AM. I'm tempted to bring my flash drive and work on some job applications...or plan our trips to NJ/NY and Ohio!

Morning! We actually slept last night and figured out the reason J wasn't sleeping!! She couldn't get comfortable with the crib wedge in! I had it in because she has been stuffy for a few days! Today we are going back to storage to (hopefully) get things done! I really need to get ready for this weekend because we are going town. I love that J's personality is coming out more and more each day. She is such a comedian! She loves to make us laugh. She is currently sitting here blowing raspberries on my belly and I don't laugh she looks at me and laughs!

carrots I used a probiotic with A when he was on antibiotics. It did seem to help then, but I quit using them when we were done with meds.
Stuck in the car today...2 hour drive to pick up H's truck, then a 2 hour drive back let's hope I can keep A entertained in the backseat. I think I brought most of his toys with us.

I'm sorry O is sick Joolschweets. I hope he feels better soon and your H apologizes.
We were up and tossing and turning since 4:15 this morning. I have the same problem as you, I wanted to give him Advil bc he's a teething mess, and my H said its already too late and it'd wake him up. So he was in and out of sleep until 5:30 when he decided to be up for the day. I have been up since 4:15 so yay.
My parents are watching M today and my dad pulled his back out. Hoping my mom steps it up and is more active with the baby because she usually just directs my dad to do everything for her. I also haven't mentioned that my mom had a PET scan last week and she's officially cancer free! I'm a little scared to jinx it by talking about it, but so thankful that she's doing good.
We're going to the zoo today I don't know if I should feel bad that I keep dragging J everywhere or happy that I'm bringing her to see lots of different people.
So far this week we had lunch with a friend on Monday, where she flirted with the waiter. Yesterday we met up with my friend and her 9 month old for breakfast. They enjoyed starting at each other. In the afternoon we went and visited another one of my friends, where she played with my friend's 7 and 17 year old. She was laughing like crazy. I guess these are good things.
Bad thing though: in between the visits yesterday we got in a fender bender. J didn't even flinch. There was no crying at all. Hopefully she's ok today. I don't feel anything and I was closer to the impact (side & front driver's side).

stinybean I wouldn't feel bad about taking her out! I try to take J out of the house everyday because she hates being in the house! I'm sure she is probably enjoying it, and the zoo is a wonderful place! She'll probably LOVE it!

Thanks DH takes her outside everyday, but they don't really go much. So I guess I meant I don't want to overwhelm her.
We had a pretty bad thunderstorm this morning, and when I got to the daycare, they didn't have power. So Jude got to come hang out with me at work until H could come get him. Now he's hanging with H at work. We both work at high schools...guess how much work is getting done today. Thank god for understanding supervisors.

@scoop I would have said no too. I give J some sugar, but like a bit or two or something. I wouldn't want to put someone else in charge of doing that when they have to take care of other kids too.
Ffwc- Jules got the top off her puffs and is eating them out of the container. I'm just letting her eat them, she's happy and not yelling. I'd probably let her do anything for her not to scream.
Good Morning! DD is home with DH until about 1230 then my parents are coming over to watch her so that he can go to two different interviews this afternoon. I didn't go to bed till 12 because I was trying to plan my morning for tomorrow. I have a conference call with colleagues in Hong Kong, Paris, Germany, and Madrid. TO accommodate everyone I get to be in the office at 6:30am, I think I have to be up at 4:30 so I can get everything done and out of the house by 6am to get to work and set up for the call in time.
Im already looking forward to bed tomorrow night...and its not even 9:30am today!
@scoop I would have said no too. I always think it's a little odd when the parents bring in treats for the babies' birthdays since most of the class can't eat them. I prefer to limit his sugar intake to the times that I'm with him and can see his excitement about it in person haha.
Morning ladies. LO is at DC for part of the day and I'm on a mission to deep clean my house.
One of the kids in her DC room turns one today so the mom brought in cupcakes for the kids. The teachers asked if it was ok for DD to have one and I said no. Am I crazy? She has just really never had that much sugar before and I don't want her to get sick. I think I'm overthinking it. Oh well.
I don't think that's crazy. Don't worry about it. If that was your original thought then don't second guess.

@scoop, Definitely not crazy! DD1 had sugar for the first time at her cake smash last year, and then proceeded to puke everywhere. Babies don't need cupcakes.

Good morning! Woke up to 2 sad kids with runny noses. Here's hoping they aren't too miserable today!
My mom is coming over tonight once the kids are in bed and DH and I are going on a date. Our second date since B was born! I am so excited to get out of the house and drink something containing alcohol.
Joolschweets,I hope O gets well soon and that your DH apologizes!
holliberry28, congrats to mama holliberry28 for being cancer free!! Every time you talk about Brooklyn, I think hipster because that's all I've seen when I've been there. And the Park Slope mommies.
@scoop, I would have said no, but only because I want to be there when She has her first taste of cake/ cupcake. I'm prob in the minority, but if she already has had a sweet and reacted ok, I'd say yes.
V was teething hard yesterday, being miss whiny pants and a low grade fever included. Today, she seems better so I'm waiting to see a new tooth pop up at anytime. Nanny came this morning to spend some time with V while I ran errands. I'm relieved that they seem to be getting along. A BRU trip and laundry are on the agenda today!

+1 to no cupcake @scoop, I feel like crap when I eat a whole cupcake covered in icing so I can't imagine what it would do in a LO's system.
PSA from MOTY: don't let kids with teeth chew on the puffs containers. When I got home yesterday I found out what A almost choked on. I've always let him play with the containers and never thought about, he likes to shake them. But apparently he was chewing on the bottom and his teeth sliced that thin plastic wrapper and he got a chunk off and inhaled it. I'm assuming he swallowed it finally because we never got anything out.

stinybean I wouldn't feel bad about dragging J anywhere. We have weeks like that as well, where we have tons going on, and J enjoys it most of the time since we aren't at home with the same scenery, toys, etc.
stinybean, L has five classes of various kinds every week and a lot of additional socialising and she thrives on it all!
We're having a better day today, partly because it's full of people so my gregarious girl is happy!
Music class this morning, which she shouted and danced her way through. She had a longer nap than usual and I managed to nap too, hurrah! We both enjoyed our lunch, which was a relief for me as food aversions have kicked in and all I really want to eat is buttered toast and crisps. My friend, L's godmother, came round for a cuppa and a chat, and Granny arrived as she left, so Granny and Laura are making a huge amount of noise downstairs and I'm blissfully lying on the bed.
H is out for the next two evenings so I need to do solo bedtime, but that should be fine - especially today after nap success!
I had such a good time with my girlfriends last night but am so so tired today. Between wine, staying up late, and not really sleeping because H is gone, I'm going to need some extra coffee this morning and am already counting down to bedtime.
Does anybody give their baby a probiotic regularly? W goes back and forth from constipated to loose stools and I'm wondering if that would help him stay more regular.
We give probiotic daily to LO. We started way back in the beginning because they thought maybe it would help with her colic (it didn't) and we just never stopped. Since we have done it so long, I can't really tell if it does anything, but we just keep giving it to her. She goes through bouts of constipation as well, even on them.
