We are going to my aunt's house for brunch and probably MIL's after that. I bought myself a purse for my gift. DH told me tonight that he bought himself a fathers day gift so I suppose we are #winning at gifts this year.

Brunch at the ILs, dinner at my parents. Trying not to be annoyed that somehow Mother's Day translates to "Weekly has family obligations and can't do anything for herself or just with her immediate family."
We are having DD dedicated at church that morning. DH will probably let me choose what I want to do. Probably a nice lunch out and maybe the beach or something.
No plans as of yet. We are 80% done with our kitchen renovation, so we might take the opportunity to paint. I would love to get some sleep too. Mostly I am happy that I talked DH out of driving 2.5 hours away to try out some stupid video game with his brother. Not solo parenting on Mother's Day.

Last minute family beach trip. Which means that even though we would have done it anyway, DH is going to declare that he "got me" a trip to the beach for Mother's Day. This is the same way he "got me" a new water heater for my first Mother's Day...because our old one started leaking that day.
I'm hoping to get one or both of 1) brunch at a restaurant at the beach and 2) some time to myself that isn't during nap/quiet time to recharge. I mean, how awesome would it be to get even just an hour sitting on the beach staring aimlessly at the sand with a cup of gourmet coffee in my hands? We'll see.
Nothing. H has to work so I'll have dinner with my parents. The upside to living with them is that I don't have to travel anywhere and I'm not forced to go to the IL's alone
My parents and one of my aunts are coming to our house for a potluck dinner. I've asked DH to replace my chain that DS accidentally broke. I hope he'll remember to do that.

My day will consist of visiting/dinner my mom and MIL. (Separately). Hopefully somewhere in there we'll be able to relax at home for a bit. I just want to take it easy!
H told me my gift from DS would be here Friday and he thought I would love it. I'm excited because he always tries to pull something similar to gratefulgirl's H. "Oh you need new shoes? That's what you want for Mother's Day?" Um no, I need new shoes as part of my everyday life. Just because I happen to be getting them in the month of May doesn't mean it doubles as a gift (talking standard shoes, not treating myself to something special).
I think we might go explore a State Park near our house that we've never been to but always wanted to check out. Hopefully it doesn't rain.
I've given up on trying to see all the Mothers (we have 4, plus Grandmothers). Last year I decided it was my day now. We can call them on Mother's Day and start celebrating Grandparents Day with them. Shockingly, no fits were thrown.
We won't do much of anything. But it will be a great Mother's Day because we will be celebrating having our little family complete! DS2 was born yesterday!

H works nights all weekend and my parents are out of the country. So I will be attempting to keep LO out of the house so H can sleep- I did that today to and missed the flower deliver H set up so he had to get up- whoops! But LO gave me two 2hr naps and I slept the whole time too- glorious! ILs were also nice and realized I'd be alone so they invited me over for dinner and I like them so it should be nice!
Im also excited to open the gift LO made at daycare- he just started daycare a month ago so it's my first craft/present
I had to work, but H & A rolled up with a bunch of delicious donuts for a surprise. And we weren't busy, so we got to hang out for a little bit. Such a highlight of my day.
