housecarder I hope the contractions stop and your headache goes away! I'll be thinking of you, keep us posted!
H is making me his delicious zucchini bread for mothers day. I told him it's all I wanted, I love food. Although I'll probably regret it because I get weighed next week and I'll probably eat the whole thing myself!

We will be going to MILs on sunday. I would love to have breakfast made for me but I am not expecting anything. I should be getting something for my mom but I haven't yet. There are too many birthdays, showers and weddings going on for me right now I haven't thought about mothers day.
As for weekend plans, we won't be doing anything too exciting because H works both afternoons until later on in the evening. I think my mom and I will work on putting together things for my shower since it's a week from tomorrow, and then Sunday most likely a family thing with the grandparents for Mother's Day. I need to get cards and small gifts for my mom and grandma so maybe I'll go shopping tonight.
WWYD: I'm very close to my grandma so I plan on getting her a card and flowers for Mother's Day. Well her sister unexpectedly passed away two days ago (the last of her immediate family), and I'm wondering if I should also do something to acknowledge it for my grandma. I just don't know what, because if it were any other week of the year I would do flowers, but I'm already doing that for Mother's Day. Would you do anything else, or just say something when I see her?

mcktymck you could do a separate sympathy card and just the one thing of flowers.
The headache is still going strong but my BP is fine and the contractions aren't super strong. So since the girls looked good and I'm not dilated they gave me the option of more pain meds or going home. I chose to just go home and deal with a headache.
housecarder a separate card is a great idea, thanks!
I'm sorry that your headache is still hanging around, do they have any idea what might be causing them? Or are they just considering it a symptom of pregnancy? And your little guy is so cute, he seems like such a great kid!

She asked some pre-eclampsia type questions and since there were no red flags (BP was down, saw spots yesterday but nothing today) she didn't seem concerned. If it keeps up I'll ask my OB next week.
He really is a sweet fantastic boy, aside from normal 4 year old stuff and picking up daddy's cursing. Lol. I really lucked out. DD is great too so I'm assuming the twins will be hell on wheels to make up for it lol.
DH and I do not like gift giving holidays. This is the last year we can get away without celebrating Mother's Day and Father's Day just because of his step family.
housecarder, Glad the girls are doing well and you get to go home!
Really hoping to get my appointment set up for the nutritionist today but part of me feels like I won't hear from them until next week. It kind of sucks since this is the weekend we would usually do our two week food shopping.

We got home and DS wanted to play out back. It's a little chilly and he was in long sleeves, jeans, and tennis shoes. The baby pool is still full from the last nice day and he walks up to it and jumps right in, fully clothed. He kept swimming and telling me it was great but just a little cold. So I convinced him to come in and get his trunks on and "swim" in the bath. He took the bait and is going "ooo this is nice and warm and cozy" with a million cars and bubbles. No nap today as we have to get DD from school in an hour and then go grocery shopping. I'm making H come to do the lifting and cart pushing.

I think I had a week gap between my appt with the nutritionist and when I found out. The nurse just had me watching carbs and no sugar until I got in. It gave me time to get my meter, stripes and needles.

From the sound of it I won't get my meter and such until I see her. I like having my ducks in a row asap! lol

Haha me too! I think I got my meter the day of too. They show you how to use it that day.
So I like to go and stalk the current BMBs and then the next month out, just to squee and read all the baby announcements and birth stories. Yesterday I was all in my head "Hey it's May, time to start looking at the June BMB too!" and then it hit me that HOLY CRAP JULY IS THE MONTH AFTER.
How is this possible?! I thought time was supposed to creep by when you're pregnant!
mcktymck , I am so glad it is going so fast! I really hope time doesn't slow down!
Same! I'm so ready for it to be July and for him to be here! I'm also panicking a little over all that we still need to do in what seems like such a short amount of time haha
housecarder that's insane! Do you carry a brown paper bag around with you at all times? I'm anxious for one baby, I cannot even begin to imagine preparing for two! Do you have an idea of when they'll schedule the delivery if the girls stay put the full 6 weeks?

We have our RCS scheduled at 37 weeks. June 15th at 8 am. Have to be at the hospital at 6 am. My mom lives literally across the street from the hospital and is keeping the older two the night before and will bring them over to meet the girls when I'm out of recovery.

Omg we just got the best news ever! My MIL got DS into the preschool program at her school (she's an elementary school teacher). She offered to pick him up and take him with her every morning and let him hang in her class before and after preschool if needed too.
We found out the price is slightly less than were he was, and then my MIL said she and FIL would completely cover the cost of his preschool so we have more resources to find part time care or nanny for the girls since I will only be working 2-3 12 hour shifts a week.
It will be nice to have time alone with the girls too and keep DS in a routine where he has time away from the babies.
