For girls, we prefer strong but feminine names that are rare but real (not made-up/misspelled/etc.). DD's name was in the high 900's when she was born (2013) and jumped into the high 800s for 2015. Our frontrunner girl's name for #2 is currently in the 500s, and our back-up is outside the top 1000. We are still totally stuck on boy names - I don't want something super popular (for example, I went to school with 12 Matthews in my class), but the rarer boys' names aren't doing it for me either.
