@bunannie - I like your hair shorter. It looks great imo.
Also, I used to color my hair a ton. I've had all colors. I have an itch to go super blonde again (totally natural for about two years now), but the maintenance really turns me off. Anyone have any tips for a change that I can easily manage and wouldn't require constant salon visits?
Thank you!
And for a change that doesn't require a lot of salon visits, I found a stylist who could do balayage, where they paint on the highlights in a sunkissed manner so that as it grows out it just looks totally natural. That is what is going on with my hair in the current photo, I had the highlights done in June
I had never even heard of that technique Thanks!
Also, white hairs? My brows are full of them. For years now. When I pluck I try to pluck them out so long as it won't leave a gapping hole in the middle of my brow. Pluck one, two grow back. And they get long as crap and are super tough.
Baby hairs like mad over here. I have a chunk of baby hairs like an inch long that are growing in like weird bangs on one side of my forehead. Occasionally it sticks straight up if I sleep on it funny. Hawt.
I have highlights growing out from the last time before DD was born. With curls, at least it's not too drastic a look. I've been thinking lately about what I want to do with the color before I head back to work and feel like I need to be presentable in the adult world. At home, I always have my hair pulled up in a messy bun because DD thinks dangling hair is the best toy ever.
Also, I can count on one hand the number of times I've blow dried my hair since DD was born.
My hair is insanely thick and only got thicker during pregnancy. It actually sucks, I get dreadlocks daily, but I still refuse to brush my hair. I only brush it before I wash it, once or twice a week. It had been down to my waist, and I finally chopped off 8 inches just before Christmas. Top knots all day err day. I've gotten a couple greys. I will forever colour my hair, though. I have every intention being a crazy old lady with pink hair.
I grew a beautiful (for me) mane during pregnancy. Cut it super short pp (it was a bob) and now it's a lob (long bob). I lost so much hair, I didn't have much to begin with so my hair was literally the same thickness as a three year old's. I now use mousse or Paul Mitchell thickening liquid EVERY DAY. it's kinda starting to grow back.
But the baby hairs. I have found that clean mascara spoolies spritzed with hairspray work very well. Buy bulk spoolies on Amazon.
We have the same story almost. During pregnancy my usually super thin, fine hair finally grew in long and luscious and I was loving it. At about 4 months post pregnant it all started falling out:( so I got this cut, then I got bored with that and went even shorter sorry never able to post pics on bump so I'm sorta loving it right now;)

I have the same story as a lot of you. Hair thicker during pregnancy, fell our 3-6 months pp, now growing back. It's super attractive right now. I have long hair with lots of inch long regrowth, and many of those are grey. Oh well, at least DS has the most beautiful hair I've ever seen ... Clearly biased

My hair is usually something similar to this, wispy bangs, nice bob. I love it on you jennyinheaven - you have great taste!

jennyinheaven your bob looks good on you! I went about as short as your first pic. it was an accident. I felt so freed in the stylist's chair, I was like "CUT OFF ALL THE HAIR" and when I got home it was more like "Cut off ALL the hair?"
I have a ton of sorry hair around my bangs. Too short to do anything with. Only way to cover it up is leave my bangs down.
I also noticed that I've had more silver hair pop up. Not enough to stay don't it yet, but I will need to in the next couple of years. But I first need to find a new stylist since my old one moved to Chicago.
I think dh would die if i cut my hair shorter than my shoulders. But anything longer than the tops of my shoulder blades looks shaggy. Gotta keep it at just the right length.

My hair is thick- always has been. I lost a lot during PP, but you can't tell bc of the thickness. I'm finally going to tomorrow to get a cut and thinning- it really needs it. I won't do a mom cut since I don't like my hair cut short- it gets puffy. I really want it to grow back to being long but it grows so slow!
By the way- I love your shorter hair over the longer look! Cute!!
@bunannie I think you look gorg long hair or short...also LOVE your bangs...Mine never look good. I have super fine hair that has zero volume. I'm a little jealous (or maybe a lot)

Seriously, what is up with the side bang baby hairs!? Same thing here with only the one side..

My May baby is 8 months and my hair is still falling out more than normal! Someone took a picture of a friend and I at her son's birthday party yesterday and I didn't realize how thin it was looking until I saw the picture. Yikes! Looking at it I decided I want to do SOMETHING, but I don't know what! I don't want to cut it much shorter- I look bad with short hair and DH really likes it long. So, I'm debating:
Slightly shorter with more layers? Go darker? Highlights? Slightly shorter and highlights?
I usually straighten it- it's very wavy when I don't. Sometimes I think I'd like to go with that, but the problem is that the wave isn't totally even, so one side is much more wavy than the other.
And then the hair growing back in. All of these wispy pieces around my face like others have mentioned. It looks like I have weird looking bangs if I don't blend them into my hair when I pull it back!
I think I'm going through a second round of hair loss. I don't know what the hell to do with it. Like mamarazziof3 I'm debating all the options. I have an appointment next week. I wish I was just brave enough to say "surprise me".
My hair hasn't realllly stopped falling out. I don't know if it's still pp or just fall/stress hairloss. Either way.. ugh. I started taking prenatal vitamins again so I'm hoping it might help me even out a bit w/ hormones and all the things that come with those being a mess.
