Baby sizer is telling me that my baby is the size of a Chipotle burrito. Guess what I want to eat now... Too bad we don't have Chipotle in this city. There's also no kind of restaurant like that around me right now :-(.
+1 on this week seriously dragging. Plus it's been raining the WHOLE week. Stop damn it.
H went out and bought a new oven last night. Has anyone had their oven throw an F1 code and then the heating elements won't turn off and the temperature keeps rising? It was scary shit. We had to flip the breaker switch because the oven wouldn't turn off. We did some googling and it's more than likely the control board. On a 10+ year old oven we just bit the bullet and bought a new one. So that was fun. Now I'm just waiting for the dishwasher and washer/dryer to take a shit.

singingsea - It rained for 8 days last week here and it sucked!! When the sun finally came out this past weekend it was glorious!!
I'm just hanging around my house this morning getting ready for my work trip. At first I said I'd work a half day before the trip, then realized that was stupid and decided to just stay home this morning. It was definitely the right call!!

Also shouldn't an appliance like an oven default to turning off when there's any type of error? Not turn itself on high and can't be shut off. Jesus. Thank god we weren't playing outside or something. I could see this easily resulting in loss of life or damage to property.
That's scary as hell singingsea . Never heard of that happening before but definitely a good idea to replace it!
That's a huge design flaw to me. I can see how the oven just not working would be my problem not the manufacture's. The oven to go into "burn down" mode? Not cool!

I'm PWing it up today, I know. I'll shut up soon I swear
My mom's 60th birthday is at the end of this month. We're throwing her a huge party and I have no idea what to get her. Anyone buy or make their mom something special recently they'd like to share? My mom likes travel, wine, food, gardening and her grandkiddos. Halp!

Hugs to all having a crummy day, I'm right there with you. Poor DS's preschool class field trip to a farm was postponed due to the torrential rain we are having, so he was crushed. I had moved my OB appt to next week so I could go on the field trip with him, so I moved it back to this afternoon and am strongly considering going home afterwards. I just can't with work nonsense today.

How about a wine pairing lesson or tasting event, if there is something like that in your area? Or a monthly wine club membership? God I miss wine

Yeah, no doubt! Sounds like that shit was possessed! Sorry for all the appliance drama lately. That totally sucks.

I remember you saying most pics were on your phone. There's an app called Chatbooks that you make a photo with Instagram, FB and phone pics. I made one for my mom of DS's first year and she loved it. They have hardcover now too and it's really good quality. It's about 6x 6 ish and affordable. They charge by page.

Get her a tasting kit for wine from the Tasting Room (and a subscription, depending on how much you spend on gifts)

Sorry about the field trip getting cancelled merryrissmas. I vote for going home after your appt!
Looks like I'm PW'ing it up too!
So our flight to Vegas got cancelled this morning :/ we found out literally minutes before we left for the airport. They originally put us in a flight at 7pm but DH called and bitched them out and got us an earlier one. Secretly, I'm kinda glad I was able to spend more time with DS this morning. But is sucks that we lost hours of vacation today that were gonna be spent poolside.
I love Chipotle but haven't ate there in forever. I'm trying to get things ready for our vacation. We leave Saturday and it can't get here soon enough.

This happened with one of our in wall heating elements. My dad said it burned out the temperature sensor that tells the thing to stop heating.
I still think the dumb thing should default to off if that sensor is dead. I'm pretty sure technology has come far enough to be able to do that.
Had my monthly appointment with the OB today. Everything still looking good, and I got all my appointments between now and due date + 1 week scheduled.
She said the headaches are likely totally normal and to try drinking more water and then going to sleep if I can. If I can't, Tylenol or a little caffeine should do it. And if none of that works, call her.
serendipity731 - It got dropped thankfully! And about a week ago, one of my SIL's friends emailed me and crazy SIL to ask if we'd come up with games. So now crazy SIL feels included. I'm just letting her go to town on the planning lol.
Work was a gong show. Pt had a blood sugar crapping out, 3 people literally crapping themselves every 10 minutes, people coming and going for tests. Just insanity. And then to top it off, daycare called in the middle of all that to say DS split his cheek open outside.
Mama went and got a blizzard since drinking is out

Sorry for the shitty (no pun intended) day @snuff9861. Hope your DS's cheek heals quickly.
Currently sitting on the tarmac trying to leave my home airport. Apparently they're having air traffic control issues in Minnesota so we've been told to sit here for half hour while they work things out. 20 min down, 10 to go. Hope we don't get bumped again.
