I am at work wishing it was lunch time. Also annoyed my tea is making me a lil nauseated. @kc295905, welcome to the club..I swear its so much worse than with DD.
I have a lot of gardening to do this weekend. My mothers day cleaning lady comes this weekend..so excited about that! Oh and well officially on Monday I get to say I have an appointment "this" week.
I need to go buy flowers before they're all sold out!! I was late last year too. Babies do that to you. I also have grand plans every year to find all these beautiful setups on Pinterest, then never do. Wah!

On a positive note, my nausea is completely gone (knock on wood) and I want to eat all the things. I hope the ladies who are suffering get some relief soon.
I'm eating a banana and it's glorious. We're also having a pigout at work today. I'm excited... except I like to know who made what because there's certain people that I don't like to eat their food.... :\
I've been having a little bit of nausea here and there and it's sucked. I feel so bad for those that are barfing. I didn't have this with G.

I, too, have been up since 5am! I got to drop DH off at the airport at 6 so he can go to a bachelor party in Vegas. I think this deserves some kind of "patient and understanding wife" award.
I'm having horrible stomach problems this morning and incredible nausea. I just forced down a bagel with the hope that it will help. My nausea tends to be particularly terrible if I've gone a bit without eating.
We saw Baby Uh Oh yesterday! Strong heartbeat of 135 and such a little peanut. The baby's placenta is attached on the right side, which matches what I've been feeling. There is something called the Ramzi theory that says if the placenta is on the right side, it's a girl, on the left, it's a boy. It claims a 97.5% accuracy rate. I don't know about all that, but I do know it was correct for DS. He was on the left and turned out to be a boy. So if this theory works out again, that means we might be having a girl, eeeeiiiii!
But I'm not getting too excited. And we'll be thrilled either way, since I'm sure DS would love a brother to rough house with!
I asked about Zika, and the midwife said that they just had a training with the CDC earlier this week. The CDC strongly encourages that you wear bug spray that has Deet in it. That seems to provide the best protection.
I'm so glad it's Friday! My mom and I are hitting up a big community yardsale tomorrow. I hope I can find some great baby scores. LOL.
Since I've been waking up at between 2-4 lately, I decided I'd use that to my advantage and exercise first thing in the morning instead of after work (where the odds of me wanting to ANYTHING other than laze on the couch are next to none...) so I feel pretty good about that. Glad I can at least attempt to offset all the food that I'm inhaling since I'm so hungry all the time.
IVF+ICSI March 2016 (6R/5M/5F - 3 embryos on ice) 4/7/16: first ever BFP! EDD: 12/17/16 DS Arrived via C-Section 12/19/16! FET #1 June 2019 - 1 embryo didn't survive thaw & the one that did didn't stick around. BFN FET #2 September 2019 - last embryo didn't survive thaw.
My appt went well. I'm 9 wks and baby is measuring on track with 172 HB! Baby is still looking like a blob. DS ultrasounds were like that too. Even towards the end I'd see more alien than baby. And my BP was good! But I gained 4 lbs. I gotta start walking and watching my snacks.
I got so sick last night, first incidence of throwing up. Now I'm at work sweet talking my lcd projector (which died twice yesterday) into working all day today so I can just put on a documentary and not have to deal with my students today.

That's so funny because at our appointment we asked if they could tell which side it was attached to and she laughed and said she's had a lot of women asking that lately.... she said there isn't any truth to that, but who knows really. I'm not sure we could even see what side the placenta was on at my appointment, cause we were only 8 weeks & 3 days.

Lol, like I said, I don't know how accurate this theory is, but it did hold true for my son. And I'm interested to see if it holds true for this one! But I'm not putting much stock in it.
Is it bad to say that I just really want a girl? So I'm taking anything that leans towards girl and running with it, including our Chinese Predictor (it was wrong with DS, for what that's worth). I was such a girly-girl growing up and I need to project on this baby Give me all the hair bows!

Thanks for all the good thoughts!! Appointment was great! One baby measuring exactly 8 weeks with a great heartbeat. (My doc doesn't have something to measure the heartbeat but guessed around 150 bpm.) I know I'm still going to be nervous but I feel SO MUCH better. Now I need to order a pregnancy pillow and some pregnancy workout gear...

kaydee0402, first and foremost, I just want a healthy baby. But beyond that I too have opinions about what sex baby I would prefer. Since we're having twins, this is probably our only shot at this, which makes me nervous. I hope you get a girl!
kaydee0402, little girls are pretty great. but so are little boys I can imagine! DH and my dad both reallllllllly want a boy this time.... my dad has wanted a grandson for a lifetime lol.

Yes, always a healthy baby, first and foremost. And since we already have DS, I would love to have a girl so we have one of each. However, I will be happy either way
Have they determined if the twins are identical or fraternal?

My son is the greatest thing since sliced bread, though I may be biased. So much personality! The other night while I was talking to our neighbor in front of our house and he was playing in the yard, he spotted a mud puddle, ran right to it and started rolling in it. I had to try really hard not to laugh while I was yelling at him about not doing things like that. I keep telling my husband that DS is such a handful, I don't know what I would do with two rambunctious boys. However, if I have a girl and she's anything like me, then I'm heading for a whole mess of trouble in her teenage years.
kaydee0402 glad you had a good ultrasound! I wouldn't get your hopes up as the Ramzi theory has been proven to be complete and utter BS. that said, I'd say you have a 50% chance of having a girl! (or a boy )
(My kid is dead center in my ute, so I guess Ramzi would say I'm having a hermaphrodite.)
@cahistoryteacher sorry that the nausea has hit for you. I always wondered at school if the days we watched a movie were the days that the teacher just didn't want to deal
legalbeagle so glad you had a good appointment! I feel like I will finally feel comfortable buying some stuff next week after my 8 week appointment as well.
emilie, sometimes yes, most of the time no. I teach history so if I can find a good documentary I'll show it since it helps bring the history alive. I had been planning to show this particular one next week, but I bumped it to today.

Last time the Chinese Predictor said I was having a girl, Ramzi Theory said boy. I wound up with a boy. This time, Chinese Predictor says girl and Ramzi Theory says girl. It will be interesting to see what I wind up with!

I've got a kiddie pool set up in the yard. As soon as DD wakes up from her nap we are going swimming. Wish I could have a margarita with it but maybe I'll make a smoothie instead.
I have to confess though, in my mind I always read your name as though you are a Cards Against Humanity History teacher. I know it's wrong but that's what I read every time
After almost three years of TTC, IVF #1 = Menopur + Follistim + other stuff. Retrieved 14, 12 mature, 7 fertilized, only 1 (6AA) made it to day 5 blast. BFP! DD born 12-10-2016
