Poor Howie is not feeling the stranger in his home.
Poor Howie! He's super cute, though, in his cowering. I love black kitties!
FFFC I guess: I slept on the couch last night. I told Mr. Z it was because I was too hot and uncomfortable in our bed but I was actually just really annoyed with him for letting the baby stay up too late. It was seriously the best night's sleep I've had in a while though, so I might totally keep sleeping on the couch.
I was saving this FFFC until Friday from our trip this weekend.
DD and I drove 7 hours, and she of course did not fall asleep until we were about 45 minutes from home. As soon as she fell asleep I had to pee SO BAD. We are potty training so I had brought her small portable potty. I stopped at a rest area and parked off to the side and climbed in the back of the van to pee in the tiny potty. I didn't want to dump it (gross), but I forgot the damn thing cheers you on so I had to listen to it say 'YAY' every 15 seconds the rest of the drive home.
I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a health question. Yesterday was a pretty busy day with work and the funeral. While waiting for DS and H to get home I laid down for a quick nap. When I woke up my stomach was a hard ball. Like it was difficult for me to sit up. Was this braxton hicks? I never experienced any with my first pregnancy. Didn't have cramping or anything like that.
Then last night I woke up soaked in sweat. This morning I had slight cramping (don't even know if I'd describe it as cramping though, it was weird) with pelvic pressure but since then it's gone away. Now I'm googling preterm labor and basically scaring the shit out of myself. At the moment I feel fine and I've felt the baby move. I guess I'll see how I feel over the weekend? Should I be concerned?
I've had a few instances of feeling similar (though not the hard ball part, but the almost crampy feeling with some pressure). For me, it seems to be caused by constipation and gas. I've also had a few instances where the muscles in that area just frickin' ache like a mo-fo and just not doing anything for a while seems to help.
I think what scared me the most was the pelvic pressure/cramping. TMI... I've also had a lot of discharge lately. I don't think a call into the nurse would hurt.
My thought is Braxton Hicks as well. Discharge is normal and isn't a worry unless it's amniotic fluid. I think BH are more common if you're dehydrated or have been really active.
As always, it's worth a call to the nurse line just to confirm with them it's nothing to worry about.
+1 to this. My OB advises that discharge is fine as long as it's not a "gush of fluids".
Damn the nurses are on it today Just got a call back. She thinks it's most likely dehydration and I'm under orders to chug all the water and call her back around 1. Now that I'm thinking about it a little more I drank entirely too many beverages with caffeine in it yesterday and my water intake has been lacking. She wasn't pleased about me drinking coffee. I'm thinking I need to cut down on the caffeine a lot more.
Thanks for listening guys.
Now that I've made it this far in the thread... glad they got back to you quick!
And amen on the caffeine. Interestingly, my OB would rather me take tylenol for a headache than have a small cup of coffee.
lovetruly2015 , +1 on the chair, not even a question. singingsea , glad you got a call back. I was going to suggest dehydration but honestly have never had something like this happen..
PSA, old navy is having a killer sale on maternity, $6 tops!
Huh I might have to make a stop by old navy while im out tomorrow. The biggest downfall of no longer working at Banana Republic is getting half off at Gap and 20% off at old navy.
Me too. I was planning to buy some maternity stuff this weekend anyway. Thanks f14mama!
MH and the boys are camping for the weekend so it's just me. I've been dealing with what looks like food poisoning, but I"m over the worst of it. I can't decide what my stomach can handle for dinner though.
Ugh. I'm glad you're starting to feel better but that's no fun. I'd probably go pretty bland for dinner.

I'm just logging on today, so please forgive me while I catch up.
lovetruly2015 I have spent multiple times every day for the past 21 months in my DD's rocker. Spend the money on something that will keep you comfortable rather than the aethetics of a crib.
singingsea that tightness and light cramping sounds like BH to me. I've been experiencing them for a few weeks now. In fact, during my A/S I had one and the tech was able to point it out on the screen. It was neat to see the little scrunch.

I'm just catching up too! We got back from Vegas late this afternoon so I've been love titting here and there. When I've missed all day and catch up all at once I always forget most of who's said what, sorry for leaving anyone out!
lovetruly2015 another vote for the chair. You can find a good crib at a decent price so if you're gonna splurge, go for something that'll get tons of use.
singingsea glad the nurse got back to you so quickly. Drink up!
theophania ugh hopefully yore back to feeling better tomorrow!
