So last night sucked. Gianna had a really runny nose yesterday but was her normal happy self all day so we didn't pay too much attention to it. Last night was awful. She kept waking up and was being super fussy so I had to hold her most of the night and then she threw up twice in our bed/on her/on us. Poor baby. And poor us. So freakin tired today, I'm going to work from home this afternoon.

Weekend was productive, I got DS1 his entire summer wardrobe at Carter's and Target. Such cute stuff! I also re-sold some of LO's grown out stuff for a decent amount of cash. Feeling good about that one!

Today H is home with the boys and I guess it's going well. Bad news is that my MIL hurt her back really bad and can't watch the kids this week or maybe not even next. I'm scrambling trying to figure out who is going to watch them. I'm emailing anyone I can think of and I'm definitely feeling the stress.

Good morning!

Uneventful monday so far. I'm hearing that work may not be though, but hopefully it isn't too bad.

J cut a tooth yesterday morning and seems to be working on another. Also just finished a leap, so I'm pretty sure those combined led to our crap sleep and almost non-existent naps the past couple weeks. 2 long naps yesterday and so far a long one today.

It's supposed to warm back up and be nice outside this week, so that's a plus. Now if only we can manage to get out of the house and enjoy it.

Hello!
My Monday was supposed to be calm and quiet after I was done at the shop. Not anymore. DH needs me to run and pick up parts for an install happening tomorrow. So C and I get to make a 2.5 hour (round trip) drive to screws and washers! That will happen around C's afternoon nap. I decided I wanted to scrub the sink and unscrewed part that leads to the pipes- guess who accidentally wiped off all the plumbers putty stuff!? Yep- now I have to attempt to fix it. Thankfully I had already washed all C's bottles.

Question/ help:
I've been trying to log everything C eats/drinks as well as all of his diapers because we are having some BM issues. We thought maybe it was whole cows milk, but I haven't given him any in almost 3 weeks. Nothing else in his diet has really changed. He eats what we eat. Gets 4 bottles of formula and always has a sippy out. Prunes/prune juice don't seem to help. He's super active, and eats plenty of fiber each day. Not a whole lot of dairy, but has dairy. (And has been eating dairy foods since we started table food). He pushes and pushes and hardly anything comes out. (Thankfully no bleeding from straining/pushing). We do bicycle legs, warm baths, essential oils, tummy massages (which he hates!) I'm at a loss. Anyone have any suggestions?

sabrinaml we have been having BM issues also. Jules drinks 4oz of pear juice and a water with half a cap of Miralax everyday. It has been helping:)

pghtruelove, Thanks!! I was really hoping to avoid probiotic supplements or miralax but I think we may have to go that route. I just don't want his body to become dependent on them to poop. But if it helps, it helps! It does make me feel a little better to know someone else is using it as well.

sabrinaml, Mine has this issue too, even though he hardly gets any solids still. I forget who suggested it, but I do a tsp of pear juice in his morning bottle and that has totally helped things. I switched to prune juice for a little bit and it doesn't work nearly as well as the pear juice! So maybe give pears a whirl?

Will she be carried? H and I go to NYC a few times a year, and have been twice since V was born and it's pretty easy in the carrier. 

We're bringing the stroller and the Ergo. My friend just sent me an itenerary that makes sense and laid out what trains we'd need to take, which has helped some, too!

I am sooo happy for you and also sooo jealous! Haha. We are so not there yet. Still having bottles every 2-3 hours and not many solids at all.

But I do have one small AW! LO can use a spoon correctly! I've been giving him a small bowl of baby cereal in the mornings and he can legit eat it with a spoon, it is absolutely THE cutest thing on the planet. (Maybe all your babies have been doing that forever, and then I'll feel like a moron. Oh well.)

erbear, the family I used to nanny for had an apartment near central park that they would visit twice a year. I took both kids (baby and toddler) all around the city, restaurants, shops, on the subway, etc. It's not as stressful as it sounds, you'll see so many other people doing the same thing that you'll figure it out very quickly. Have fun!

So this was funny this weekend. I wake up to use the bathroom at 2AM and when I get back to bed my phone starts ringing (ETA: From a # I don't know). Obviously, I'm like wtf it's 2AM.

I ignore and then see the text messages, so I respond, wrong number.

My phone rings again. Decline.

Phone rings again, I answer, Hello, dude you have the wrong number!

Guy: Wait what?! Kristen. It's Ramos. Kristen? Kristen?!!

Me: (silently WTFing, how do you know my name?!?) Wrong Number, hangs up.

Phone rings again! I hand it to H. I don't know exactly what was said on the other end but, H says: This is Kristen's husband, Who the fuck is this?!?!

Then it hits me, Ramos is a nickname of a guy I went to college with. Haven't seen the guy in 8 years!

Apparently he realized the same and that he'd called the wrong Kristen LOL. So my H gets off the phone and teases me about my sidechick.

Glad my H knows I wouldn't cheat on him, cause that could have been really messy!

We are looking to book our Vegas tickets for August, and I can't decide if I should bite the bullet on the Spirit tickets that would be ~$200/person after all fees and baggage. Does anyone think there will be a sale over Memorial Weekend? Any advice? sugarkissed, or alayne926 maybe?

BH fell yesterday and bit his tongue - the bottom of it. So nursing was a big ordeal, because every time he tried to nurse he would reopen the wound and scream/cry. We ended up giving him bottles because he doesn't latch the same on them. Well now my left boob is killing me. I can't seem to empty it enough with the pump.

Kristykristyleelee, I've only done one, my boss won't be in till the afternoon. But I asked the new job for more money than they're offing and they said no. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice. They also wanted me to start immediately, but I negotiated for at least 2 weeks, depending on how long my boss needs me to transition him back onto cases.

erbear, do you have google maps on your phone? You can put in any address, and it'll give you the walking, driving, and what subways you would need to get to your destination.

If the weather is nice, the highline in meat packing is nice, or go for a walk and lunch in the village.

There might be a sale over Memorial weekend. Have you looked at Southwest? They usually have cheap prices, also.

And modifying it by using orange zest instead of lemon. And probably doubling it in a 9x13 pan.

Yeah, Southwest is a little more, like $225/person. I am leaning towards Spirit because cheaper and we would have the same flight back as our friends.

Random question but I only own a double stroller. It's the city mini baby jogger. I LOVE it. However I'm flying to Oakland this Friday with only the baby (H is watching DS at home) and now thinking what should I do? Just buy a cheap umbrella stroller for the weekend trip? I have the ergo and I'll need to also travel with her infant car seat.

I just don't like to buy baby stuff that I won't use more then once so I'm considering just bringing the double stroller even though that's probably way to much stroller for this trip

I'd be tempted to leave it and take an umbrella, but on the other hand, there's the benefit of that empty stroller seat for stuff you'd rather not carry...
