I've been away for the past week at a conference and I came home to a sick kiddo. I think it's just a bad cold but DS has a checkup tomorrow so I guess we will wait and see. He was fine the first 13 months but over the past 2 months he's just had one thing after another.
Another Monday, another mountain of laundry. It always sucks playing catch up after busy weekends! At least lo woke up in a decent mood. He's gone to bed late the last 3 nights in a row (and doesn't really sleep in) so it's been kind of a gamble if you're going to get happy toddler or crabby hell beast in the morning.
babyw15 not sure if you bought pjs yet, but I just got an email that Carters has 50% off all pjs plus free shipping! @alexipodes poor guy, hope he feels better soon!
@alexipodes, hope he feels better soon! ashlantic, thanks for the Carter's tip--LO needs new pj's badly!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was okay except that DH and I got in a big fight yesterday I'm just tired today and I feel like that's part of the reason why; just mentally draining.

B is still in bed so I'm enjoying a cup of coffee. DH suggested trying to set him down in the crib for his nap yesterday which was the worst idea ever. We bedshare and I put him in our bed for naps. He immediately woke up when I put him down and looked terrified and started crying. His nap was ruined. We eventually had to drive around since he wouldn't nurse to sleep after that. He kept giving me these super sad pouty faces. But driving around was fine since I needed to find a dress for a wedding in a couple weeks. So DH stayed in the car and read a book while I shopped.
I think I've just given up on the crib altogether, but wanted to entertain DH's idea. We will probably end up getting a twin bed this summer and putting it next to out bed and eventually moving it to his room.
Planning on going to yoga in a bit and maybe hanging out with my neighbor.
Monday is kicking my tired butt. I was up with Leo at 3 am, gave him more motrin and waited for him to fall back asleep. Woke up late, managed to leave on time just to realise I forgot my wallet. When I finally get to work, realize I forgot my phone in the car so go back to the garage and see I had parked in a reserved spot. Ugh. This day needs to be done.
Dh is keeping leo home. If he still has a fever then he'll take him to the pedi. I want to make sure it's not his ears.
@alexipodes, hope your LO feels better soon! ashlantic, very sweet H you got there! dashook, sorry about your fight with YH. hope it gets resolved soon. BabyStandish, LT for solidarity sister. I'm glad I didn't buy an expensive crib! It' been used maybe a handful of times, all when he was an itty bitty baby. I think Leo will do fine in a twin bed, it's the not sleeping with me that will be the issue. It's like he has a 6th sense, the minute I get up he's reaching out for me.

littlelion the entire kitchen needs to be gutted, all the windows need to be replaced, roof repairs, new flooring in the kitchen/living areas, the master bath needs to be gutted.

that's quite the reno! But it will be nice to have an updated kitchen to your liking! GL!
ourcrazynavylife wow that will be an undertaking but I can see the potential! The whole house looks like it feels light and airy even unrenovated GL with the contractors!
littlelion yes it is. Hence the hiring a professional.
I'm sure ladies will get sick of me talking about it. Haha.
Thankfully we don't have to move in until the end of July. So hopefully most of it will be done by then.
Ps I NEVER get tired of renovation/decorating pics. Neverrrrr post away I love checking out the nursery AWs in the newer BMBs. Makes me want to put some elbow grease into decorating our place!
Question of the day: how are your babies pooping? How often do you get blow outs? How many times/day?
Such a timely question. Lately Leo poops 2-3 times a day. Blow outs are rare. Maybe once a month. And his poop has been pretty soft, I haven't noticed any real effort exerted. Sometimes I worry about this but try not to.
dashook sorry for the fight. Hope your day gets better! BabyStandish have fun at yoga! littlelion I agree, this Monday needs to be all done. Fx Leo feels better soon! shannjohnston that would be fantastic. Or winning the lotto. ourcrazynavylife love all the light in your new place! Can't wait to see what you do with it. bkmama0 typically 1-2 times a day. Since he's in cloth I'm more likely to have a pee leak. Blowouts are suuuuper rare. His poop depends a lot on what he's eating. Grapes tend to move things along for us.
Ladies, I need your best stain removal tips. Seriously, why the hell is tomato sauce and sidewalk chalk so hard to get out of clothes?? Shout stain remover just isn't cutting it these days.

ashlantic my go to now is oxyclean (the spray kind).
I bought a white dress with blue embroidery a while back and when I washed it all the blue dye bled out. I thought it was ruined. Searched the Internet. Picked up the oxyclean and it did take multiple washes in a row but the oxyclean got all the dye out.

@bkmam0 He's pooping 2-3x per day, rarely blowing out (maybe 1x a month). His poop is also mostly soft but definitely still solid. I think they would be turd-shaped if they were all smooshed.
Question of the day: how are your babies pooping? How often do you get blow outs? How many times/day?
I think LO goes 1-3 times a day now (I don't know the exact number because I'm not with him during the day on weekdays...but I know yesterday he went once, and twice on Saturday). They are soft but often accompanied by quite a bit of grunting nonetheless. I can't remember the last time he had a blowout.

@alexipodes sorry your LO has been sick, hope he recovers quick and stays healthy! ashlantic sorry for laundry but yay for happy babe! When B wakes up on the wrong side of the bed it's a loooonnnggg day! Also we use spray oxy clean too for stains. dashook sorry you guys had a fight, mh and I didn't have a good weekend either. Hope you're feeling well! BabyStandish sorry the crib didn't work out. I hope your bed plan for the summer works better! Hope yoga and your possible playdate made for a good day! littlelion sorry for the rough start, hope your day got better and Leo is feeling better. shannjohnston ha yes!! I've been so bad at adulting lately and paying things a few days late ourcrazynavylife GL with the house remodel, sounds so exciting and I'm jealous in a way, but I know it can be a lot of work and stressful! Make sure you post after pics! I love home remodel stuff. I agree with bkmama0 not hard to see the potential at all!! @bkamam0 B usually poops once a day, haven't had a blowout in a long time besides maybe once or twice when he was sick and had diarrhea.

It was actually a pretty decent day here even though it was a rough night for him. We went to our library class and LO loves it! I've also been talking to the same mom there for the last few classes and I'm hoping it could turn into a friendship/play date person!! A lady I used to babysit for was saying how finding a mom friend is like a version of dating. You don't want to come on too strong or seem weird but you want to have things in common and then decide when to exchange phone numbers or meet outside of library class (or wherever). Lol Then since Mh was working from home I left B with him to go take care of my sisters cat since she's away. She lives near an ikea so I stopped in there and had a cup of coffee and walked around without a toddler!! So nice! I also got this cool glass door in the as-is area for $5. There are so many cool things I can make with it.
It was finally a nice day and we played outside then. A lot of neighbor kids were out and a couple little girls were trying to play with B. It was super cute. Sorry that got long!! Wishing sleeping toddlers to everyone tonight!
bkmama0 my LO is constipated alllll the time, so I can't really answer. Blowouts are extremely rare in these parts! ourcrazynavylife we are almoooost done with a year long renovation and building project. We move in Saturday but still won't have a kitchen/living room/any bathroom other than our master. Are you living there during construction?
