They are intramuscular, but my husband will give them to me and I only have to do 5 over 2 weeks, so it's not so bad. After that I'll have bloodwork & an ultrasound to see how my lining responded...then hopefully we'll be approved and can select a donor. TWO>MORE>WEEKS! WOOHOO!

hero7, I hope the shots are nice to you and your lining responds well!
Just in case anyone missed the other thread my donor had her ER on Saturday, on Sunday we got the fert report, 30 retrieved, 25 mature and 22 fertilized with nanobead selection and IMSI! I wasn't supposed to get an update until Friday (day 6) but today is day 3 and I needed to know something so I emailed the nurse and got this response "I will tell you this, we are watching a total of 23 embryos through day 5/6"
So I'm not sure if one fertilized late or what happened but it looks like 23 still growing on day 3. Now for the champagne problem that goes along with this. We are having PGS testing done on the embryos that make it to blast, if all 23 make it to blast that almost triples the lab bill. So I'm a little freaked out about that.

dukegirlsc, whoa, 23!! Congrats on having such a huge number in play. That's impressive.
hero7, good luck on your mock cycle. Picking the donor is (imo) a lot of fun.
therealbug, Yay!! FX for doubling and a healthy and uneventful time.
AFM, my donor is headed into ER tomorrow with 38 follicles and an E2 of 5200ish. She must be relieved to get those eggs out! She's 117lbs and must be so bloated and uncomfortable. We're splitting the eggs with 1 other couple, so we should still end up with a lot of eggs.
My nurse continues to suck and I'm very bitter. No one consulted me for timing, I have only gotten information for less than half of my donor's appointments, and I've been told my schedule is coming "tomorrow" for the last 6 days. It's upsetting, I gave up on my own DNA and am not really involved in this donor cycle at all. I leave for a girl's vacation with my mom on Tuesday morning and I need it!

I've gotta tell you guys I love the RE we are using, I just got an email from him that says
"I am very hopeful and have very good feelings for you. So we will be in touch when things are in. Blessings to you"
Now it doesn't hurt that he's top notch and his lab is excellent with technology others simply don't have. But I gotta say I do appreciate an RE that actually takes the time to email his patient to let them know he's thinking of them.

eroticantibiotic, yay for 38 with a whopping E2! That's awesome!! I am so sorry your nurse continues to be so horrible to work with (and I feel guilty for the AW post I just posted ) can you call and speak to the office manager, go over her head and make them get it done, that's ridiculous, 6 days in a row, grrrr!

Hey hey, I've been in Florida for the past week so I've been bad about checking in. It was a spur of the moment vacation for a food conference and was wonderful. DH and I both needed the break and it was really nice for both of us. 3 weeks until I start for my IVF cycle. I'm actually getting excited that it might work!
hero7, If you have done PIO in the past the EPP shots are much easier because the liquid is much thinner. Like you, we did 4 shots in 2 weeks which wasn't too bad. YAY! Congrats therealbug, dukegirlsc, That is awesome news! FX that you have great numbers on day 6! YAY for your donors ER! I hope you get lots of eggs! I'm sorry your nurse sucks though, that's a bummer. eroticantibiotic,

dukegirlsc, AW it up! It's great to see an RE who is invested in you personally and not just as another number.
king26, jealous of the food conference! Any famous chefs there?
Our donor's retrieval went very well. Our half was 21 eggs! 16 mature, will have the fertilization number tomorrow. Holy moly, this is starting to feel real.
My transfer is set for July 1st. I'm thankful she actually got it together today because I never feel great about complaining about someone's job performance but I was totally calling my RE today if I was pushed off again.

eroticantibiotic, Yay for your 16!! FX for 100% fertilization! You will actually transfer before me! Are you guys doing PGS? I'm so glad your nurse finally got her crap together, you are so much nicer than me, I would have already raked her over the coals!!

dukegirlsc, whoa, 14 is insane! How many children do you guys want? Hopefully not 15
12/16 eggs fertilized and all 12 are going strong today on Day 2. Our last donor gave us 12 retrieved/10 mature/8 fertilized/3 frozen so we are pumped and hopeful for a better yield. With my history of failure, I only feel good with many backup plans.
Not going to PGS, which is probably a huge mistake, but I am so sick of spending large sums of money.

eroticantibiotic congrats on 12 going strong! We want 2 children, but going through what we've been through with losses and no genetically normal embryos with 3 IVF's made us hopeful that we will end up with 5 normal embryos with DE. That way we should be covered in the event of another loss. I hate looking at things like that but I really just need this to be our last IVF, emotionally and financially I am spent.
