GTKY- What's something that you're good at?

We haven't had any GTKY threads in sooo long, so here you go

What's something random that you are good at? Are you the go-to person in your friend group for picking out restaurants? Really great at doing your hair? Good at baking??

I am good at making cakes. Cupcakes, bundt cake, ice cream cake. I tend to make all of the cakes, and I love it!

But more seriously, I consider myself a good cook and good baker. I'm not very good at decorating baked goods though. Which is why I'm considering finding a class to help.

I'm good at making plans, especially in regards to vacations. My family and friends all use me now as their "travel agent" and I really love doing it.

I'm not really good at anything particularly useful, but I am pretty good at a lot of random things - like knitting, following a recipe, cutting stuff out with an X-acto, driving in a straight line... My H likes to tell people that I am really good at random, useless things like "peeling oranges" or "making burger patties"... Uh, thanks?

I am a good running coach. I am not the fastest, personally, but I seem to be really good at helping others achieve their goals and finish races happy.

Occasionally, I don't completely ruin my baking.

This is mine too! If I'm bored I plan random vacations, and I was working on a list of B&Bs across America for a while. I'm not as good as a real travel agent (as far as I can tell, mine uses voodoo) but it's fun. I'm usually the one putting together dinners and parties too. 

In general, I'm good at making sure things happen when they're supposed to happen.

I will also sign up to eat cake.

She's being humble. I've seen her cake decorating skills. She's really good.

Oh and after a couple of drinks I am really good at giving advice and making decisions for other people. I mean, I can't guarantee they are all good advice and decisions but I feel so confident in them in the moment that I can really sell them.

I'm good at cooking. I think I've had 2 dinners turn out badly in the 2.5 years that H and I have been married.

I'm also good at getting shit done. To-do lists run my life and if you need motivation, I'm your girl.

I've been told I am good with giving wise counsel and advice, too, like PirateCat. I have read tons of books on all matters of things like boundaries in relationships, bonding, how change happens in people, etc. and feel like I have some of the tools to listen to what someone is dealing with and helping them do the thing that is healthy, emotionally and mentally.

I'm somewhat good at really simple design -- I designed our wedding stationery, business cards, website, etc.

And I can cook! Baking is a growing skill, but I can definitely make dinner that tastes good.

I finally scraped the excess cake off the bottom of my oven the other night. If results speak, I am great. But if you have to show your work, I fail.

I mean, I do a little bit, but I also haven't taken a class since Psych 101 in my freshman year of college FOREVER ago, so I don't want to tout myself as a pro

But also, I think I'm good at empathizing and considering other people's points of view/circumstances/desires. Often at the expense of my own.

I'm pretty good at baking, and I used to be pretty good at cake and cookie decorating - I'm a bit out of practice though (and honestly, kind of lazy). Plus, baking when single meant I brought it in to work. Baking while married means DH and I eat it all ourselves. Oopsies.

Ha yes!! +1. I am actually great at grocery shopping now that I think about it. I'm not a crazy coupon lady by any means, but I do my SIL's shopping for her and save her probably $30 a trip on the coupon app for Meijer and being savvy.

I happen to know a lot of random facts, and I think I'm good at making people think I 'know everything' (I do not). But I do like to share my random facts about everything.

I'm actually pretty good at fixing stuff (like broken things around the house). Some of my fixes are a little janky (couldn't drill into the tile to put up the shower rod I purchased, so I used command strips) but they work.

I enjoy researching things, like hotels, gift ideas, happy hour options. I just don't like making the final decision, but finding options is totally my jam.

Lemon cake is one of my favorites! I had lemon cake with marshmallow fondant for my wedding cake, it was delish!

DD says I am the bestest cooker ever. So, I don't know if the review of a 6yr old girl counts, but I will take it.

I really enjoy party planning and I am usually the go-to person to plan all of the baby showers/wedding showers/weddings for family and friends. I also am pretty decent putting flowers together and have done several weddings for family and friends as well. Which reminds me, I should probably start working on my sister's flowers for her wedding in August.

I'm a decent tech person. I can usually figure/fix most things, unless its super complicated. I know when to say uncle.

I'm really good at taking care of myself. I have a healthy balance of eating/working out and having the occasional (or daily lol) indulgence. It feels so good and I wish I learned this when I was younger. I had some food/body issues in college and I'm very proud of how far I've come from that. It all really started when I started running back in 2011/2012 and I haven't looked back since.
