I'm a zombie this morning. Hannah decided to sleep worse than her newborn days last night. I fought to get her down from 8-1. Shed sleep for a bit then wake up and fuss and cry. I even brought her in the bed with us and she just sat there and squirmed around and patted my face. I think I maybe got 2 hours of sleep. And I'm working 10 hours today. I did drag my butt out of bed in enough time to stop at DD on my way in to work because today is going to require ALL the coffee.
I'm exhausted . LO started crawling yesterday , now she's non stop ! She's always trying to grab what her big sister has , which makes the big cry , then the little one cries.. Repeat ! Then LO now just wants to walk everywhere , so I'm having to walk around with her !
I'm not sure what's going on with LO but the past 2 days she's been sooooo fussy , it's draining !
It's pouring rain AGAIN , I doubt we will go anywhere .

J had a diarrhea blow out this morning. All over himself and his crib. Then he threw up everywhere. He's in a good mood and doesn't feel warm so we are risking sending him to daycare. Can teething cause diarrhea?
I think that virus we had is back though. My cough is back, my eyes are gunky, and I'm congested again. The sickness will never leave our house.
I have my doctors appointment today to see if things healed appropriately from the birth and to hopefully find out why I'm still randomly bleeding. Hopefully it's nothing to be worried about.

Yes I think teething can cause diarrhea because of all the excess drool. Good luck at your appointment today, FX that you're healed and the bleeding is nothing serious.
I missed yesterday on the board because I drove to work so I didn't have the bus to read. And Ellis is sleep regressing so she wouldn't go down for the night until 9pm (well after her usual 7ish) so I didn't catch up on the evening. My partner and I need to stop eating take out so much for our budget's sake. She's on leave right now and while getting 50% of her salary from employment insurance is good by US standards, the fact that her work only topped her up for 4 weeks is tough on our budget and we need to be able to pay for big day care costs come fall.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
Sorry for the bad sleep everyone. I need to humble brag because DD slept from midnight to 6 am!!!!1!1!! The only thing I did differently was have her a dose of Motrin at her last feeding. She has not slept 6 hours straight in forever. Luckily the toddler didn't wake up either.
I need to get my lists finalized for England. We bought the GC pockit stroller yesterday to ship to my inlaws in the UK. It's like $80 cheaper there. We also bought the Britax convertible booster for my son from Amazon and I'm buying another for H's car from Kohls because I have $60 kohls cash. So to travel we are bringing the convertible seat and the convertible booster. Britax's are heavy but whatever. They check them when you walk in anyway.
Need to get hair and nail appts and figure out outfits for everyone. Very excited to be going away.
Between being in the last 2 weeks of school and all the craziness the entails, Charlotte's awful sleep, and the busyness of taking care of a home a husband and two kids I am burnt out. And, my patience for other annoyances is gone.
Admin at my school has taken away our conference time for the 2nd time this week which now puts us below the legally required time for conference times. I emailed my Principal and told her it was wrong. Ugh. This means in my 8 hour day I will have one 15 min break for lunch and my pumping time is gone.
Sending much love, coffee and naps vibe to everyone.
A seems to be in a much better mood today even though he's still coughing. He was standing in his crib at 6 am, which seems to be his new pattern. I have a friend coming over for breakfast and mimosa around 9.
WWS15D - We're supposed to drive 4.5 hours to SO'S cousin for a family gathering tomorrow. They have a 3 months old and my pregnant SIL will be there.
If A is still coughing as much, should we go? He's not feverish and other than being a cranky little poupou, everything seems fine. I don't want to be THAT person who brings her sick kid to your house, you know.
Hugs Fearsy hope C lets you get the nap in you need.
AFM we have no plans today. There is a chance for rain so not really expecting to leave the house. Val must be feeling better since that tooth broke through she slept till 8! DS has been more adventurous since ditching his binky. He actually gets out of his bed in the morning now. I saw him on the camera trying to open his door! He was being quiet so that's good & we have the door knob covers on his doors so he can't get out yet.
Edited because nursing Val and she grabbed my phone & hit send before I was done!

Ugh, I'm with you on that. I don't want to complain because we have it so much better than elsewhere, but being on 55% of my salary (not topped by my job) has been tough.
emejay if he doesn't have a fever, or vomiting or an excessively runny nose, I would go. If we stayed home every time Avery had a cough, we would barely go anywhere.
Why does my kid hate me? She fell asleep for 24 minutes. Just long enough for me to put her down and finally relax in bed. I was almost asleep when she woke up. I'm so worn out.
I'm sorry, it sounds like you've been having a really rough time lately. Do you have family or friends nearby who could give you a break? Sometimes just having a couple hours to shower and sleep can help, mentally if nothing else.

Everyone I could call is working except for my MIL. I would leave my child with a stranger before leaving her with my MIL.
Haha I get that! Maybe a Saturday or Sunday break is in order then.
Still not sure if C is just teething, or is getting sick. She was up every hour last night. Has a low-grade fever. She randomly started coughing this morning. But, no more vomiting. She's just really fussy. She hasn't been around anyone that is sick. She basically goes back-and-forth from our house to my parents house every day, and no one in either household is sick. Maybe I'm in denial....

Sending all the hugs, feel better soon, and sleeping vibes to everyone!
So Callie did the usual pull herself up in her crib last night after sleeping for about 3 hours and I just sat there for a little while watching the monitor to see if she would put herself back down. Nope, she was pacing back and forth on her crib rail whining for 10 minutes straight. UGHHHHH.
Today is my Friday thank God! I'm volunteering tomorrow with DH's school for day of service. I'm looking forward to the weekend because I know it will be a million times better than last weekend.
We just a had a pancake breakfast, Val really enjoyed that & DS devoured his Mickey Mouse pancakes. For the first time in weeks Val is happy playing on the floor with her toys and not crying for me to pick her up! Yay!!!
Oh ya and Val got her crinkle toy & toy clip in the mail yesterday! It's so cute she really likes the crinkle blanket I'll try to snap a picture of her with it later. Thank you! andtheheartbreakers

To top off my shitty day yesterday, we finally caught the trying to stand in the crib train. Layla has STTN for the past 4 months, yet last night she was standing up crying at 1am and 2am. I went in and laid her back down and 1 and she cried for 2 seconds and passed out, then at 2 I gave her a 4 oz bottle and she devoured it and passed out until 7 this morning.
Also I did eat the cake yesterday. I at a quarter of it.
Today is we're going for lunch with my mom and someone I work with, then MH told me I have an appointment for something at a salon at 3:30, then it's my sisters bachelorette this evening. We're doing a paintnite so hopefully it's relaxing and fun.
emejay A bit of water or pedialyte helped temporarily when my babies have gotten a persistent cough. It clears out anything stuck in their throat that they haven't been able to cough up.
My kid doesn't crawl, scoot, get to sitting on her own, or pull up to stand. I'm pretty sure she is going to do all of those things on the same freaking day, and then never stop moving. I feel like I'm waiting on a ticking time bomb, after seeing all of the issues with MOTN crib standing.
Dani has a wicked diaper rash that developed this week. Her regular teacher is out today, and the sub is a total alarmist, so I feel like I'll be getting a call. It's diaper rash. Put her damn cream on and just go with it. They're going to get an earful from me if they call me over diaper rash, but didn't call when she was throwing up from the Norovirus that landed her in the hospital.

Dani has had a cough since starting daycare in January. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse, but if I kept her home because of a cough she'd never be in school. When she has teething/drool issues, the cough is always worse. As long as there is no fever or other symptoms, I'd still go.
emejay, It definitely sounds like A has a cough related to excess drool from teething. I wouldn't hold back on anything you have planned to do.
Fearsy, Mila is doing the same thing, especially during nap time and it is so frustrating. The only thing that has worked is co-sleeping. I really don't want to make a habit of it, but these days, sleep is sleep.
I am so so tired this morning, and waiting until I've had at least 1.5 liters of water before any coffee is like torture! I am hoping that while MW is away I can settle into a routine with Mila that we can continue when she gets back. Our attempts to sleep train fail mainly because it is so hard hearing her so upset. Even when we are right there, patting her back, she scream cries and so we end up picking her up and bouncing her to sleep. I know she needs to be able to put herself to sleep and it bothers me that we are having such a hard time, but I need to find a different approach that isn't so excruciating.

We used to bed share and it stopped working for us. I would absolutely do it if I could.
Oh, I assume the opposite would happen and she wouldn't want to sleep in her crib. That really sucks! I hope you get some relief soon.
