Hi ladies! I'm sitting in the dentist again. I'm sorry everyone is so tired! LO woke up ready to party a couple nights ago. He patted my face for an hour and then started crying inconsolably. We currently co-sleep but I'm over it.
I need to get serious about LO's sleep habits. I have a crib but I don't think he likes the mattress. We bought a twin size children's imea mattress (super thin) we planned to put on the floor. But I'm terrified of him not being in the crib. So CIO to get him to crib sleep? Try some no cry methods to sleep in the crib (I don't see these working) or go straight to the floor mattress? I don't know!

Turns out my tear didn't heal properly (guess I'm part of that 50% emejay!). I have an ultrasound next week to rule out retained placenta (which is unlikely) and need to schedule a procedure to laser off tissue that grew where it shouldn't have. My doctor pulled out a mirror to show me. I'll spare you the description. But, assuming no retained placenta, not serious and more of a PITA to deal with.

I'm glad it's nothing serious! But how annoying.
ETA: I just assumed there's no retained placenta when I posted. So FX's that's the case.

Hope there is no retained placenta and a quick laser procedure will heal everything!

Oh my God E go the fuck to sleep! She took a 35 minute nap around 1:45 and has been in her crib for a 3rd nap for 40 minutes playing and/or crying. I know she's tired, so enough BS kid!
If she doesn't pass out soon bedtime is going to fun later...
DH was home with me again today without kids. We were finally able to get some uninterrupted sexy time. Then he suggested that we go out for lunch to a place that we used to frequent before kids. It was so nice to have some one on one time!
And I bought a Tula today. I'm so excited about it.
What color/print?
it's just plain ole black. I'm a bit sad about that and considered trying to swap but I'll probably just make 100 sets of drool pads and maybe a couple covers.

MH texted me a few days ago telling me I had an appointment at a spa today at 3:30. He left work early to be home with Layla.
He booked me a surprise 60 minute massage and a spa pedicure. So here I am sitting with paraffin on my feet and a glass of fruit water. I love that man so so much.
I'm in toddler sleep regression hell. Though I don't think it's a regression since its been months. The screaming and screeching at bed time every single night is so so aggravating.
DH caves and then lays on the guilt "she misses you." It's sweet victory when she screams daddy. I want to let her cry and not respond at all, in any way. Glen goes in or guilts me and then she wins. Tonight she "can't find her buddy." It was in her ducking hand. They say 3 is worse but I think she's an early bloomer.

Quoting myself because Glen just went in to calm A down. This is why bedtime is awful.
+a million. He even needs to be moving to fall asleep. When we did succeed (somewhat) at self-soothing he would rock himself or roll from side to side until he PTFO.
I just got to bed and I was so stressed out that it was super late and I wasn't going to put together enough sleep tonight between wake-ups, then I looked at the clock and realized it's not even 10. I call it a win.
Oh my God. The idiot sales associate for our builder was supposed to get back to us last week with "a leasing company they're partnered with to place short term rentals while homes are being built." She texted me tonight, 10 days later, with a link to... wait for it... Airbnb. This woman is so fucking useless that it physically hurts me.

What? Um no. Is there another associate with the company that you can deal with from now on. Obviously this lady has no clue wtf she's doing.
Z figured out how to get from laying down to sitting up today. Well today was the first time I'd seen him do it. I'm now waiting for the day I find him standing in his crib. That was the only thing holding him back because he hadn't figured out how to get to a sitting position from laying down.
