I just had a very long and realistic dream that our NT scan was at a party with friends there and the tech was some old crazy lady that had me lay on the floor with my back propped up on a Rody toy. She was then incompetent, so some guy took me to a room to do it but took his shirt off during it. I had to fully wake up after that dream.
Hopefully my appt at 8:30 is a little less exciting.
I'm up and listening to DS chat in his crib in the next room while I procrastinate getting ip and showering. I really should get on that though since I have a client and my supervising partner showing up at my house in less than 2 hours for a meeting.
Btw this is the partner I haven't told about my pregnancy yet and haven't seen him for 2+ weeks (in which time it's become very obvious) so this should be interesting.
I agree with danib , dashook I wonder if the partner has already heard through the grapevine and is gonna be all "no way, I had no idea!" Lol.
danib sorry you were up so early, what does it mean that today was his fly day?
I'm just sitting at the walk-in waiting for H (he's in with the doc).. He's been running a fever of like 102-103 since yesterday a.m., using his moms ear thermometer. Except he just text me from the room saying they took his temp and it was 98*. SERIOUS LOL. Clearly her thermometer is broken. And he's like "but I was sweating", and I'm like "but you were wearing two sweatshirts, sweatpants, socks, and a blanket - I would be too.
Ok so can I get out of here and go get an iced coffee now.
kleigh fly day is when he leaves (or comes home). So he'll be gone for 3 weeks now. Edit to add he travels to/from work via helicopter. Hence "fly day".
I want to LT for commiseration, I'm sorry you're without him again a few weeks.

+1 danib it feels like he just got home. Hope the next three weeks go quickly.
danib sorry YH has to be gone for weeks again. I'm sure you're kind of used to it but that doesn't mean it's easy. starbuck27, sorry you didn't get a good vibe from your meeting, but at least now you know what you were not missing and don't have to wonder.
So things went pretty smoothly with my partner. The client actually didn't show so we had some time to go over cases and then I told him. We didn't get a chance to discuss leave or anything since he had to get going but I think it'll be okay.
I definitely don't think he had heard through the grapevine yet since he has been on trial and not in the office for weeks (which is why I hadn't gotten a chance to tell him til today).
After he left I changed into a maternity shirt that is very bump-clingy. I'm on my way into the office now and plan to strut right in and just let everyone stare. I'm so excited to just be "out."
DH gets up at 4:30 or 5:30 every day for work so I always wake up while he getting ready for work and then again when he comes to say goodbye. But then L and I usually sleep until 7:30 or so. Very much looking forward to summer when he's home. Except for the 2 weeks he has PD.
I'm starting to be concerned that my morning sickness is never going to fully go away.
Unless something changes, I am coming up with a game plan to deal with my SIL over summer. We usually are in CO for 1-2 weeks and see her several days during that time. I don't think I can get away with not seeing her, but I also really can't stand her anymore. Anyone have a relative like this they deal with and how do you do it without killing them?
Good morning! Slow work day and I am one of three people in the office today.
I'm excited for the weekend. H and I are going out to dinner on Saturday night for our anniversary. It's the last weekend in our house so we'll probably spend the rest cleaning and packing. I'm not sure it has fully hit me yet that we are actually moving. This was our first house where we celebrated many 'firsts.' I'll probably be a sobbing mess next week (stupid hormones).
Update: my NT scan went much better than my dream despite it being a new tech and she kept telling me to relax and that I was gassy so she was pushing a ton. Thanks, like I hadn't noticed but was purposefully not going to the bathroom as requested.
But everything looks good! I am in the 99.9% for PAPP-A again, but they don't have to monitor for that anymore.
Morning all! It's been a busy week here with no signs of slowing down, sorry I haven't been around much.
tallblonde congrats on a good scan! danib hope the next few weeks fly by
I had my 15/16 week appt yesterday, everything looked good and heartbeat was "perfect" and in the 150s. I'll go back in 4 weeks and then my A/S is a week later; I think it will start feeling more 'real' at that point.
DH got back into town from AZ late last night and went into the office late this morning. It was nice having him around a bit, B was so happy to see him
My grandmother passed away on Wednesday a.m. I'm glad I took DS down to see her earlier in the week. It's sad, but she was surrounded by family and friends and was fortunate to be able to be in her own home, etc. We'll be heading back downstate for the viewing and funeral this weekend.
LizInFL I'm glad everything looked good at your appt. Did you have any problems getting out of the wedding this weekend?
DH is still going...he'll miss the viewing on Saturday but will drive down for the funeral the following day. He called the groom, who was understanding.
This will sound terrible, but I think the only reasons DH is going is a) he feels obligated and b) he wants to see some of the other guests (buddies from college).
I, for one, am glad I don't have to go. I just think it's going to be a mess, lol.

I'm so bored at work. It's not even 10am yet and I'm ready to go home. It's slow around here but I have to look busy because my co-work watches me like a hawk.
I also really need to shave my legs, they're getting itchy.

Shaving is the worst.
Truth. I'm happy the weather has been crappy this week so I can keep my hairy legs covered.
LizInFL so sorry for your loss. Glad to hear your appointment went well yesterday.
I'm craving Mexican so hard. I'm also worried I'm getting a migraine. My eyes and head feel odd and I keep seeing a light spot. But I can read so it's not like the auras I usually get. Hope it's just a weird headache or something. Hmm...

That's frustrating starbuck27. Both the ILs and your H's co-worker putting in his notice (and not much of a notice, it sounds like). Hopefully this will work in his favor come this fall.
I don't understand the obsession some people have the with the sex of a baby. My co-worker is due with her first in June and she did a gender reveal cake cutting with her family. She said as she was cutting into the cake everyone was chanting "Girl! Girl! Girl!" and then just kind of went "oh" when the filling inside was blue.
Like, damn. Way to take all of the fun out of something that really should be a good time, regardless of what color the dumb filling is.
I'm jealous. Am I the only one whose boobs don't get bigger during pregnancy?
With my first pregnancy they were gorgeous. They have looked like shit this whole pregnancy until today (thanks nursing), so I'm trying to enjoy it while I can!

This is why I'm team Green and not wanting anyone to know. I think ILs want a girl bc they already have a grandson but still seem happy either way. My sister and mom think girl but don't care either way! But I can see that being a common reaction to a gender reveal especially when people got it in their heads the gender because of old wives tales or other manipulations of information.

starbuck27, my mom actually said the same thing about hoping I have twin girls. I don't know why she's focused on this twin thing - I've told her several times there's just one in there.
I totally get hoping for a specific sex just to spite someone. I'm kind of like that with my SIL.
