I hope everyone had a restful night and babies slept!
It's going to rain all day. Blech. Glen wants me to take the girls out so he can clean. So we will go to a BWI meeting and then maybe Chik fil a for lunch to kill time and burn energy.
I fell asleep at 8:30 last night and woke up at 5:30. Ben is sleeping at my parents and the baby went back to sleep, so I was in bed till 7. Then I ate my breakfast, drank my coffee and watched what I wanted on tv, because Allie doesn't care about any of those. My husband is volunteering at the zoo later today, so we will all be going. Which would be awesome, but it is going to be 60 and rainy all day.
We are going to Picture People today at 10 to get pictures of the kids done. Since DS turned 4, and I have a groupon. We will give a few to my inlaws when we are there. I have a tutu dress from old navy. Swore I would never dress my girl in a tutu outside of dance and here we are.
Then I have to dye my hair and H's hair, and we are going to attempt to clean the attic if the kids cooperate this afternoon.
It's a long weekend here in good Ol' Canada. Thank you, Queen Victoria. DH has to work today though, so pretty much business as usual.
I tried on a bunch of my summer dresses yesterday and got ragey. I wore a bunch of my cotton, looser fitting sundresses last summer while pregnant. What seemed like a good decision at the time has resulted in them now being stretched out and droopy around the stomach (not unlike my stomach itself, actually). So unless they shrink up a bit in the wash, I can bid adieu to 3-4 sundresses. 5-6 if you add in the ones that don't fit in the bust right now, though I will keep those since I won't be nursing forever.
In unrelated news, I am hooked on the Jerry Seinfeld show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Highly recommended.
Rough night A's croup isn't improving and docs won't treat because of her eye infection, which had cleared the day we applied ointment. They keep saying she should improve, just like last time, then we end up in ER.
H stayed up with her all night, now I'm trying not to be cough while she sleeps on my chest. I was worthless last night because my hacking fits would wake her up.

Happy Saturday ladies! I hope everyone had a better night last night.
We got Oliver helmet yesterday afternoon and are in the process of weening him into it. He sweats a lot in it and it's going to be a lot of work to make sure we keep it clean and dry to avoid any rashes , south Florida weather in the summer is the worse.

Oh that is brutal, I never would have even thought about the weather. I'm really sorry you have to deal with that, it is really tough watching your baby have to adjust to any sort of corrective equipment. You're a great mom for being so on top of it, Oliver is so lucky to have you.

cowplanet I hope the croup clears up asap! caitost21 woohoo! Let's hope it's a trend! PamBeeslyHalpert you are dealing with this so well, the weather must just complicate things even more for you! FX is an easy transition! London I did that to some of my clothes too and I'm mad at myself about it
The realtor is coming over this morning to give her market analysis. I really hope the number she thinks we should list it at is reasonable and higher than what we paid when we bought! Hopefully everything goes well and we can sign the paperwork to move forward with her.
I hope Oliver gets used to the helmet quickly and it doesn't bother him at all, PamBeeslyHalpert!
I'm on my way to a flea market then we are going to a birthday party this afternoon. This evening my ILs are going to babysit so DH and I can have a date night.
Tomorrow I need to clean like a madwoman because my house is filthy and disgusting.
London My stretched out summer clothes are the one that fits me the better right now #mombod
PamBeeslyHalpert I hope O will get used to the helmet and it won't be too annoying for him!!
Being up with baby at 6:30 am when you're not home and everybody is still sleeping is awkward as hell.
We slept for the first time in a long time in the same room as A and that baby snores!!! His cough is also on the worst side. I'll get a doctors appointment after the long weekend.
We have a semi-busy weekend. We're finishing up staging the house, and all the little projects that we left until last. We have lunch reservations at a favorite restaurant for noon today, which I'm really looking forward to. Tomorrow it's more house stuff, and a trip to the mall to get DH some new work shoes.
Currently, Dani is being entertained by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (why is that show so hypnotic for babies?) and I'm drinking my coffee without anyone in my lap. It's lovely.
DS was up at 6:30 this morning I gave him an option his bed or mine. He chose mine. So that got us another hour till Val woke up. He has been waking up a lot without his binky the past two nights. I hope it's just a phase and he goes back to sleeping more soundly.
We made bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin for breakfast. So DS became the bacon monster chowing down. He is tall enough to reach the counter and grab it himself, so I think he had like 5 pieces!
We are trying to head out to bass pro shop today. They are having some outdoor thing going on. H has been wanting to take DS for awhile and it's nice out so worth a shot.
cowplanet, Croup is no fun at all, I hope that clears up soon!
Afm, I'm feel like Mila is never going to STTN again, ever. She's only done it once and that was at around 3 months. She didn't go down until almost 11 last night and was up bright eyed at 5 am. ? I have a baby shower around 11 but that's all that's on for today. FX am afternoon nap is in my future.
txshep Dani reports crack me up. A is a binky thief but hasn't kicked or bit yet
The reports are an almost weekly occurrence. Her teachers adore her, but she is just SO feisty. She is a stubborn little thing, and does whatever she wants. She is cute and tiny, and when she is told "no" she just smiles sweetly like she knows she is adorable. It's hysterical (for now, when she's older? I don't want to be the mom of the class biter).

Hi ladies!
So, I haven't been on much. I'm kind of in a bad head space. Living with my family is one million times harder than I thought it would be. It seems they have something to say about every last little parenting decision I make, no matter how many times I just reply with "my kids my way." It's emotionally draining. There's hardly any privacy, which makes DH crazy, both kids are sick, and I spend all my time trying to make my core family happy that by the time I even open TCF, I have nothing left. And then I feel horrible for complaining or venting without having the time or energy to respond to so many that I would like to. We don't really have any other options- due to financials and many other factors, so for now we stick it out. On the positive side, I finally raised enough money with Swagbucks to pay for my doula certification class! I'll be taking it July 15-17, which will add more chaos as that is the weekend we were going to move in, but DH is so excited for me he told me to just do it and we will figure it out. I'm so excited- I can't wait to get certified and get my business going!
I promise I'm lurking lots and sending thoughts and prayers to those who need it. I'll try to post more and be more active, but know that I'm around. I love you all!
jessiespano I hope living with your family gets a little easier ! I couldn't imagine , especially with kids . I know my mom would drive me BSC ! And congrats on your doula certificate!
Z is definitely getting better at sitting himself up. He feel asleep for his second nap by just leaning forward He was so tired. Hopefully his second nap will be longer than his first.
We're going to a 1st birthday party for my cousin's daughter this afternoon. It's pretty warm today but very cloudy. Not going to complain since it's warmer than last weekend.
Between a sick dog and a teething baby DH and I got about 2 hours of sleep. The cable guy is here fixing an issue with our connection. Come to find out, he's our neighbor. We would really love to get to know some of our neighbors, and they even have a little girl. But, I don't think we're making the best impression. We're sleep deprived and looking a mess. Haha, oh well.
Hugs to jessiespano !! I don't think downing wine will even help there!
H was so good this week, now he's on the shit list. A & I are sick, and I can't put her down due to deep hacking cough that laughs at medicine and drops. I did agree to let him have a boys outting and we agreed to two time frame options and that he would drive to 1) guarantee his friends didn't drive drunk like they always do 2) be home at agreed time. He's agreed to this and not followed through before, while I was pregnant, so he swore never again now with a kid in his life.
Well, now he's going out from 2 p.m. to midnight (aka 3 am) against our agreement and refuses to answer who's driving. They are also starting at the place they always get loopy and then driving clear across the city for another hit. I'm so pissed. Which means I don't want him to have fun ever and only I get to go out.
Go out? He's counting the two times I had to go to at home sales parties for his friends wives and buy shit I didn't want because of "social capital". Not even close, buddy.
