Currently, Dani is being entertained by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (why is that show so hypnotic for babies?) and I'm drinking my coffee without anyone in my lap. It's lovely.
The big recently started watching this show. He calls it the "Mickey Mouse Cockhouse". It took me forever to figure out what he was trying to say!
I've been topless all day ha. She still refused all morning. When I took her upstairs for her nap I rocked her until she was asleep and once she fell asleep I got my nipple in her mouth and she latched! She nursed both sides! Yay! She was fussy when switching breasts so I bounced her and she eventually latched.
I really hope this is the end of it. She's much happier now and hopefully will have a good wet diaper soon. I can hardly get any milk in her from the cup and it's been stressful.

Hi friends!!!! Haven't been around here in ages but I have 2 napping babies in the car. Holy hell I have to pee so badly. I miss playing here more and hearing what's going on in your lives. Going to lurk and LT through everything now!! .
rnchloe, glad you got her to latch, even if she was asleep! Hope the rest of the day goes smoothly and you guys get back on track.
I went to BWI meeting and borrowed a beco buckle carrier. I've never used a buckle since our ergo doesn't tighten enough on my absurdly short torso. I promptly wore M in Chik Fil A and Target with great success! It's really much easier to get her in than i expected!
I also bought a space saver high chair (hence the target trip) and can't wait to try it out at dinner. We have the chicco polly high chair and i HATE it. It was a hand me down so I feel like it was justifiable to buy a new one, especially since it will convert to a booster. A will probably try to climb in and stake her claim since poor M isn't allowed to have anything that is just hers.
All this talk about sleep training (sandj918's thread) makes me think I should start (FFSC) with Jacob. We still rock him to sleep (takes 2-10 min) and he uses his binky. If he wakes MOTN, he normally needs his binky to go back to sleep, but we won't rock him. Since he's starting his sleep regression, we'll rock him if he doesn't settle for 10 min. I'd love to put him down and for him to sleep on his own, but it hasn't been a priority to me since I was working. I do know that I should help him figure out how to go to sleep on his own and I feel guilty I haven't done it yet. I'm going away for a conference in June and I'm thinking I might have DH do it since he won't cave like I will.

H and I talked when I got home from work last night. The solution we agreed on was that he will take his mother to look at some condos in better parts of town than where she is currently living. And if in the meantime she feels unsafe where she is then H or one of my BILs will go stay with her and they can take turns. O spiked a fever last night and that solves the problem of MIL wanting to show him off. The fever came down with some Tylenol but came back even higher today. I've tried Tylenol and Motrin both and neither have broken his fever. It's staying right at 102F. We've stripped him down to his diaper and will be giving him a cool bath when he wakes from his nap. He has no other symptoms besides a runny nose. I'm not sure if teething is the cause or not.
We have a wedding to go to later... Not excited about it. It's his 3rd wedding and her second and they are doing the whole 9... I wouldn't care so much if this guy didn't have kids with both exes that he has basically abandoned to pretend like he has a new family with fiancé. Makes me sick.
Planning to just attend the ceremony and maybe stay for a few at the reception.

We are at my H's grandmother's memorial / reception this weekend. J was so so good during the internment and took a short nap at the reception. He's fighting his nap now though. It's like he knows there is a party going on without him.
Emily nursed again, both sides like it was no big thang. Acted totally normal. No fussing at all. That was the longest 2.5 days of my life. Fx she's completely over it! Thanks for all the kind words and support... Nursing strikes are the worst.
So, I haven't been on much. I'm kind of in a bad head space.
I promise I'm lurking lots and sending thoughts and prayers to those who need it. I'll try to post more and be more active, but know that I'm around. I love you all!
*hugs*
This is me as well. Different situation, but I'm really struggling with being a mom and every time I start to comment it's just negative complaining and I delete instead.
I'm here lurking every day, I'll come back when I have more to add then just bitching about my own shit.
rnchloe, yaaaay!!! Anna is clapping for both of you, even though she thinks boobs are climbing handles.
lilylove31, glad YH saw some sense. Sorry LO has a fever
FX A stays down for a decent nap. She had one good one today, but she hasn't had a good night's sleep all week. My ribs hurt from all of this coughing, bleh.

Yay! I've been thinking about you so much. I'm so happy, I hope she's over the strike

Thank you!!! Nothing worse than not being able to get your baby to eat. I was seriously stressing especially over the dry diapers

We made it to France! Cal did great on the plane (slept ~8 hours in the bassinet) and was also a total champ for two train rides. H and I haven't slept since Thursday night. It's almost midnight Saturday here and C finally fell asleep so I'm headed to bed.
Hope this sort of resembles a 'night' and we can start fighting the jet lag

I'm glad you checked in! Have been thinking about you and hoping all is OK. At least adequate, if not great. Hugs!

It's been a big day.
Eloise woke up at 1 and I found her soaking wet. DH put her night diaper on too loose on one side and so she soaked through her jammies and sleep sack. We've never had that happen in cloth diapers before.
Eloise went from army crawling Thursday to actual crawling yesterday afternoon - but she usually screams/cries while doing it. I guess it's hard.
And she cut her first tooth!
We also did a bunch of packing and house stuff today for moving prep.
Dani is such a creeper when we take her out. She will stare as hard as possible at people until they pay attention to her. Then she'll smile and wave. We were by a door and anytime people came in, she would swivel herself around in her high chair to do this. She also would only do it to people she hadn't previously received attention from. I feel like she understands concepts that she shouldn't...

ugotstarbucked, Jacob is in disposable diapers, but that happened to us last week! I was giving Jacob his dream feed bottle and I suddenly felt warm He woke up (of course) as I changed him. Hopefully Eloise went back to sleep OK!

I love this!! How adorable! Jacob swivels around to look at people, but he just stares - no waving or smiling, just a look of regret, lol.
Also, we walked through the available house in our new neighborhood that has the courtyard and the movie theater... It's really not that great. Plus, we found a used condom just hanging out on a windowsill in the upstairs gameroom. DNW!!
We walked through one house that I fell in love with, but probably because it is $430K and laughably outside of our price range. It was so amazing, I was walking through the rooms like a kid in a candy store. I kept yelling to DH, "OMG look at this! And THIS!" On the plus side, I now know exactly what I want in my lottery house.
txshep ew to condom (autocorrect changed to Cincinnati...OK), but H and I used to sneak into new builds before doors or windows were in, and yeah, we christened one or two but never left evidence. :*)
H came home well ahead of time and did the driving. The ring leader's toddler had a 104 fever, but H was the one to say he should probably be home helping.
Speaking of, the toddler caught it from a playdate yesterday, when the visiting mom casually mentioned her kid had a high fever the day before. Um. No. You just broke the mom code. (H even said mom code, ha).

I'm kinda pissed off. MH has had state track the last 2 days and he came home for an hour, showered, and left to go to dinner with his friends and after telling me it would be 'real quick' is now playing pool too because they never planned a bachelor party for a guy who is getting hitched in 2 weeks.
Fuck dude - I've had 3 concerts this week, a busy school week from hell, you were gone on Monday and Friday for work then all fucking day today. Your kid and I both want to see you and I NEED A BREAK. It's not my fault your friends can't plan shit in advance.
rnchloe so glad she nursed today. Hope things continue.
Hugs to anyone who needs them today.
Z took an epic nap today which always worries me that he's getting sick. I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt though. He's been eating more solids at each meal so hoping that's all it is. He's also sleeping better at night. It's awful that I equate good sleep with sickness now and can't just think he's sleeping better.
He had so much fun playing at the birthday party today and was so good natured today. We went out for dinner after which was at his bedtime and he did great. He fell asleep on the way there so I'm sure that helped. Hoping tonight goes well too.
L had an amazing birthday party today. The forecast was 70% chance of rain and it never rained during his party. Everyone showed up and we ate every single mini cupcake (60) and 8 racks of ribs. The kids loved playing on the new playset and most importantly they mostly got along. Papa amazingly got S to sleep for his second nap. Then S gladly played pass the baby to all of the grandmas and aunts. The worst part was when I nursed S and he projectile vomited over himself and me requiring both of us to change clothes, but that was cleaned up quickly with no fussing. It was about the best birthday party that a kid could have.
