Well another ultrasound that didn't go as expected....

The Good: There was significant development from our last scan, the RE could see and measure the fetal poll. The measurement he got was 6+1 which is four days behind where I think I am. It really is possible that I'm off on our conception date because it was TI without a trigger, so if I ovulated 2-3 days after I thought I did and it took a little longer to implant it would be completely match up to the current measurement.

The Not So Good: I'm still not convinced that our timing is off. All of my signs point to ovulating on CD15 (which is the last day we had sex because I was exhausted). To get my solid cross hairs I did have to discard one wonky low temp, but if I keep the temp I do get dotted cross hairs on CD18. If it was CD 18 it is a miracle we are pregnant at all because we would have only hit -3 and +1 I think.

So it is a waiting game. I was so disappointed to not see a heartbeat today, but there is still a lot of hope. Babies develop at slightly different rates and it is hard to measure something that small accurately. A very small change in the measurement can provide a big change in the dating at this stage in pregnancy.

I'm going back in on June 1st to try to see a heartbeat. Right now I'm mostly being successful in staying positive, but it will be a very long week.

Also, according to the due date on the ultrasound my EDD is now 1/16 which is roughly a week before our anniversary.

Symptoms, Problems, Rants, Raves, Cravings: I'm mad I can't get an earlier appt! I just want to go in and make sure everything is okay! DH keeps forgetting I'm pregnant too. Maybe a picture from a Dr would finally get it through his head.

Any articles, links, must-have buys, interesting pregnancy info, or other advice: no, sorry.

Any names you're thinking about this week: We already have a boy's name picked from the first.

Any bump, U/S, or other pictures you'd like to share? No bump, just a PP belly leftover from the first preg lol.

aprilz81 growth! That's so good! And it is possible, sperm can survive for up to 5 days right? So think about the positives. Thankfully June 1st is just next week and you will get to see your little blip again, hopefully seeing a beautiful beating heart.

EDD 1/19 (updated from 1/10)

We saw a heartbeat today! It was too early to measure it but it's there. We thought I was 7w, but it turns out I'm only 5w6d.

Despite the happy heartbeat news, I'm having trouble staying positive.

*trigger and if you like to worry maybe skip this, pgal brain*

Last time, we saw a HB before I mc'd at 7w, so I'm having trouble having any faith in an early HB. I had just hit what I thought was 7w, which for me was psychologically over the hump, now I'm back under the hump. Also, my pgal brain is worried that my dates weren't off, but that baby is measuring behind. The old date was based off when we figured for conception - it's totally possible we conceived a different day, it would just mean I got a BFP 10 days after sex. (I didn't cycle after my last mc so this is all sort of tough to pin down. Though I'm irregular anyway, so cycling probably wouldn't have helped with dates.)

I was really hoping today would be super reassuring but so far, it's not so much. I'm supposed to get a call from my OB after the images are reviewed - maybe that will help.

FWIW, we only had sex on O day and I got a bfp 10 days later, so totally possible.

The dates seem to totally work out, we were just counting from the wrong conception/possible O date.  That's what I'm going to try focusing on.

We are in the exact same boat, but the RE couldn't find a heartbeat at all at 6+1 (the new date according to our appointment yesterday).  We go back in a week and hope to see a heartbeat then.
