Trigger warning: living child, sick child, ptsd.
I haven't been over here for a long time, but this time last year, I was here because my daughter had been born 12 weeks early. She developed sepsis, meningitis, and hydrocephalus, had one surgery while in the nicu and has had 3 more since she got out. She turned 1 last weekend and I just wanted to pop over here and say thank you for being a great place to vent and talk about my mental stuff. Medication and therapy have been literally lifesaving. My therapist is helping me work through my ptsd and depression and anxiety issues.
You guys were there for me when my birth month board was triggering me (not on purpose, obviously) with their full term pregnancies and 7 pound babies and getting to leave and take their babies with them from the hospital.
I just wanted to say thank you and I hope everyone here is doing well.
I remember you and your LO well. I'm so happy that you are continuing with therapy and staying on meds that help you. You have reached a tremendous milestone with her 1st bday and already overcame many more obstacles. You are awesome and I'll keep your family in my thoughts. Huge hugs.
