Thank you, mrsdee1982 .
Unfortunately that recipe isn't straightforward for me.
Step one, convert all the measurements to weight.
Step two, find a shop that sells buttermilk.
Also, when you say "pork sausage", do you mean sausages or sausagemeat, or something else?
I might be up for cooking this, but I really couldn't bring myself to serve it for breakfast. Also, any sauce that includes milk is definitely not gravy, by definition. (It's completely possible that you have a different definition of gravy over there!)
I'm not trying to be awkward, I promise!

12 oz of pork sausage = 340 grams/
1/3 cup of flour = 46.67 grams
3 cup of milk = 675 ml
1/2 tsp salt = 2.5 grams
1/2 cup cold butter = 115 grams
2 1/4 cup flour = 315 grams
1 1/4 cup buttermilk = 281.25 ml
Buttermilk is easy to make. For every one cup of plain milk, add 1 tbsp of lemon juice or white distilled vinegar. So, for this recipe, you would add 18.75 ml of lemon juice or vinegar to the milk. And for the pork sausage - this is what it looks like here (it's often called breakfast sausage):
And, this type of gravy is called often referred to as Country Gravy. It's totally different than brown gravy or mushroom gravy. It is superior, in my humble opinion.
