Another nice day today. I hope the weather holds for our Sox game tomorrow. I woke up late today. I had to choose to shower or make breakfast+lunch. Food won. So, I'm a bit of a stinky mess.
Leo has started to hit us. A good whack with his hand. DH had a stern talk with him on Sunday about not hitting. Now he'll whack us, point to where he hit us and say "No?". LOL. He gets it but not really. I watched him on Sunday at the zoo with the other kids and luckily he wasn't hitting any of them. Even when the other baby girl hit him first. Kids.

littlelion B has started hitting too. We are hoping he learns to stop soon. So far stern talking and holding his arm isn't working. He hasn't hit other kids, just DH, myself, and our dog.

FIL is in town so he's coming over for dinner tonight. That means I'll be spending most of the day trying to clean and prep for dinner. I'm making creamy chicken caprese lasagna. I made it a couple weeks ago and it's sooo good.

At this point I told DH to ignore Leo if he does hit him. Not to react. The only time that doesn't work is when he has a toy in his hand and whacks my head. Not cool bebe.
littlelion we had a phase where lo was hitting us when he didn't want to be picked up, etc. I just set him down and walked away while telling him "hands are not for hitting." I've also held his hands and told him no hitting. He's cooled it for now, but I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it. BabyStandish dinner sounds good! Good luck getting everything done. kcrus good luck today!!
Finally packed away some of lo's winter pjs and heavier fleece clothes. I've probably jinxed us and it's going to snow tomorrow, but I was running out of room in his drawers.
I'm excited to get outside with lo this afternoon. I set up lo's water table he got for his birthday. Hopefully he loves it!
House sitting for the week at my parents. Kitchen clogged this morning so now I'm waiting for the plumber. My mom says it happens a lot. (First thing my dad asked "what did she do?". Thanks dad.) My mom has a crap load of Tupperware and LO found it. Lol She likes streaming it, and finding which lid goes to what. It's so cute!
BabyStandish, that lasagna sounds amazing! Can you link a recipe? kcrus, good luck today, you got this!! ashlantic, water tables are the best!! We just got LO a combination sand and water table and I really hope the weather is nice this weekend so we can let him use it!
AFM just boredy bored bored and also super hungry. I'm in a deposition that's already been going on for 3.5 hours and there has been no discussion yet of when we will break for lunch. Baby is getting mad lol

F this week already. Ready for a 3 day weekend. Yesterday sucked in general, and today I broke a nail and then proceeded to destroy all my other nails (biting, peeling, picking) until they were equally short. I could kick myself for doing that. Time to buy a travel mani kit.

laceysbryan my sentiments exactly. I'm working late today plus I'm already hungry for dinner. I'm so frustrated I'm biting my nails and having a good cry. I asked for Friday off. I need a 4 day weekend!

Beach date was a bust. It started raining as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. Sooooo what do you do?? Take the toddlers bowling (it was right down the street). They had a blast!!!

littlelion hope the weather lasts for tomorrow for you! B hits us during tantrums or if we won't give him what he wants etc. I usually say no hit and if he does it again he sits for 'time out' idk if it's worth it at this age but the pedi said we could start and at least it's a consistent consequence. Thankfully he doesn't seem to hit other kids. BabyStandish that lasagna sounds amazing!! And I can't believe we are almost at 1.5 either!! I keep thinking I'm doing the math wrong when I count 17 months at the end of this month! kcrus hope you had a great first day!! ourcrazynavylife bowling looked fun!! Good rain plan! ashlantic hope LO liked the water table!! raven hope the rest of the week goes smoothly at the house! dashook hope you got something yummy for lunch early enough!! laceysbryan ah hope the long weekend comes quickly for you! Maybe it should include a mommy time mani/pedi that tinder profile is creepy lol

Busy day, I had to ask my principal a couple things about next year and I was nervous because she's been in a mood lately. Luckily she didn't have a problem with me. I'm not going in tomorrow because one of my students made it to states in a computer competition and I have to go. I think it will be neat but it's an hour and a half away and I have so much to do at school! Hopefully it's worth it!
Lo had a blast playing outside, but too much fun in the sun made for a tired, cranky baby. He was definitely like Jekyll and Hide tonight- sassy and defiant and then sweet to try to worm his way out of trouble. To top it off I ended up with a raging tension headache that I tried to ignore for too long. I'm glad we made it to bedtime in one piece!
raven I might have to dig out our Tupperware for lo, he loves putting lids on and off. Thanks for the idea! dashook hope you got fed in a timely manner! Hanger sucks, but hanger + baby is a whole different beast! BabyStandish it's crazy how fast time is going by!! laceysbryan hugs. Hope this week turns around for you! littlelion hope you get your extra day off! ourcrazynavylife glad you were able to find something else fun to do! reginaphalange3 glad your talk with the principal went well!
littlelion F hits us sometimes too, usually when we're telling her no or moving her away from somewhere she shouldn't be. We're just trying to be consistent by saying it hurts and we don't hit. I'm worried about her doing it at daycare to other kids but she hasn't so far. kcrus Hope your first day went well! BabyStandish I'm in serious denial about how big our babies are getting. I don't feel ready for another one yet but I find myself thinking about it more and more lately. laceysbryan I lol'd at that tinder post. Kinda happy that I never had to take my chances on sites like that! reginaphalange3 Glad you caught your principal in a good mood. My last principal was like that and I hated the unpredictability. One day she was your best friend and the next she snapped over nothing. I avoided talking to her at all cost.
Well today was our last full day at the beach, we fly out tomorrow morning. F has had a blast and I really wish we could stay longer. So looking forward to being off with her all summer, this is such a fun age
I'm impressed with all our J15 babies that keep sunhats and sunglasses on. Lo is like "lol, no." and rips them off immediately.
megpie5 I'm exactly where you are in regards to ttc again. Thinking about it a lot more these days, but not really ready yet!
F loves her sunglasses and hats luckily. Originally I thought I wanted 2 years between kiddos but now that thought scares me... plus I would have to be pregnant already so we missed that boat! I think I feel more comfortable with 3 years now but keep going back and forth on the pros and cons of different age gaps. Do you have any idea when you might try for another?

Dh and I have tossed around the idea of NTNP after lo's 2nd birthday. I would like to try to time a 2nd pregnancy for a different time of year to see if that helps with the nosebleeds I had.

I want to try for a different time of year too, but for different reasons. I didn't know you had nosebleeds during pregnancy, that must have been awful.
