packerfan4life DH and I had to sleep in shifts for the first few nights since E refused to sleep in her bassinet and slept great on someone. Luckily she did get used to being put down. FX she gets used to her bassinet quickly!

That's what we did for the first 10-12 weeks with DD1. Hoping this one will sleep better when we get home. It was noisy outside my room since I'm right across from the nursery and nurses desk. Sadly H was home last night with DD1 so I was solo

Wow that is a long time with DD1. And sorry you were solo last night. FX she will sleep better at home when it is quiet!
We started a paci and finally got DD to take the MAM brand instead of just the soothies. It's been helpful! DS started a paci immediately and never had any sort of nipple confusion.

Thus far she has been highly displeased with both the bassinet and swing. And car seat. At least H is taking the first shift so I'm drinking some wine (how I've missed it these last 9 months) and then sleeping other than feeds until he wakes me up

Ugh... I'm in so much discomfort. It feels like trapped wind. I keep on waking up going to the toilet. Getting on my hands and knees rocking to make it better. Then goes away I go back to sleep and an hour later back again. I should go to the kitchen and get some tea and gas ex but I'm too comfy in bed right now.

It's really the worst. Glad you could at least be comfy in bed at some point. I feel like the inly time I'm truly comfy is when I wake up in the morning and then it's time to get up. All night it's up and down and toss and turn for one thing or another. Sometimes I wonder how I'm gonna make it thru labor when I'm always exhausted.

I know what you mean. I feel so unfit! The only time I feel comfortable is in the pool.
So I guess it's a little more than trapped wind...I just had my bloody show. Now we wait and see...
I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS MORE GOING ON!!!! Yaaaaaas!!!
Good luck!!! Hopefully things will get moving soon.
Ironically I (and the toddler) had my best night of sleep in months the night before my water broke. Thank godness since the next night I got zero sleep

Omg my H took first shift so I could sleep. 5 hrs of sleep (with one wake up to feed) has never felt so good!
Also handled my first double wake up. Had to feed the baby while the toddler cried and wouldn't let Daddy (who was at the end of his shift so exhausted) put her back down. Got baby to lay in the bassinet without screaming just long enough to get the toddler to sleep. And surprisingly she stayed asleep! And now I'm up with a newborn sleeping on my chest.
So happy for a June baby with a teacher H! I don't know how people do this without help
Ahh you're awesome packerfan4life! I'm so scared for the double wake up! I feel ya on the doing this with help though. DH and I were just discussing yesterday how we have so much respect for single parents and military spouses, etc. I don't know how I would do that.

Luckily for tonight I think she was just so happy to have both of us home that it was pretty easy to console her. I'm sure we are in for nights with a very different ending soon.
I have been up since 4. Should be a fun day! Might need some caffeine today and a nap!!
I am also nervous about 2 and sleep. DD is starting to get her molars right in time for baby girl to be here so that should be interesting. Up until recently I was the only one who could put her down for nap and bed so we started having both of us in there at bedtime and on the weekends having him in there as well for naps. Saturday she actually didn't mind that I wasn't in the room much for nap so that was a big load off my shoulders for when I am in the hospital. She's also getting better about being in there by herself at bedtime if she's not asleep after a couple songs.
I feel like I have a million things on my mind this morning which is probably why I can't sleep. I have an appointment today so we will see if I've made any progress after so many fake outs and I might ask for another sweep. It seemed to get things moving last time just not enough to put me into labor.
DD2 sleeps all day. Now at night she is awake. We have tried putting cold things on her, changing her diaper, feeding her naked. I can't get her to stay awake during the day. Tonight has been terrible. I thought she was wanting to cluster feed but not really. Just wanting to pacify herself.

Yup, sounds like my baby... My breasts hurt like hell.
Also, I need to find a way to give DH a night shift packerfan4life! I'm irrationally angry with him all the time and want to throw things at him when I see him sleeping so peacefully for 8 hours straight every single night. I, meanwhile, haven't slept for more than about 2 hours in 3 weeks. I actually screamed at him last night when he went to bed at 9pm without even telling me or offering to change the baby or anything before he clocked out.

Things are moving. I have bee n having contractions consistently from 6am. They are mild and come about every 15 minutes. I'm just hanging out in bed resting. Gonna get up in awhile and finish packing the toiletries for the hospital bag. Hopefully this is it!

I'm laying in DS's twin bed with him and I have DD sleeping on my chest. Every time I make a move to get out of bed DS freaks out and grabs on to me. His bed is so uncomfortable and DD's stuff is all in my room (diapers, wipes, nipple shield, burp cloths). I am praying I can sneak out soon and he won't notice.
