Anyone have any side eyes or WTF'S to hand out? I have a big one and need to vent.
In mid December we put a deposit down on a fishing trip on Lake Michigan. We invited anther couple and one other friend. The trip is next week. Just today the guy from the couple told H that they are not going to be able to go. It's going to make them in a pinch with money for about 2-3 weeks after the trip. So they are choosing not to go but they will give us 250 for the trouble. WTF dude. Now because you 2 aren't going it's more money for us 3. You have to pay a certain price for the boat so your price is determined upon how many are on the boat. So now that they backed out, us 3 have to pay more in gas and add in that extra person price divided by 3.
I just don't get how someone does this and doesn't think it's not the douchiest thing ever. And who would be ok with paying 250 (basically 290 with the deposit) and not get anything out of it. That's crazy to me!
That's lame. And pretty late in the game if you booked it that far out. I'm sorry!
This. I mean, good for them for making a smart money decision. But to only give you one week's notice so it's more difficult for you to find any replacements? That's really crappy.
