Some questions to ask:
.) What kind of curriculum do they follow? Ours has a curriculum for each level, including the infants. They have weekly chapel time, arts and crafts (I have so many cute projects DS did in the infant room!), music hour twice a week and focus on various skill sets and sensory activities each week.
.) Do they take the children anywhere? I did not want to have to provide a car seat for daycare. Luckily, ours only does field trips for the preschoolers during the summer.
.) What kind of materials do you need to provide? How many crib sheets? Bibs? Bottles?
.) What's their policy for storing breast milk? Some centers have to toss whatever the child doesn't drink, so we had to sign a waiver saying don't toss anything, keep it all.
.) What kind of schedule do they keep in the infant room? Is it individually led or do they try to keep them on one set schedule?
.) Do the kids get outside time?
.) What's the sick policy?
.) Do they provide food or do you need to? I provided Little Man's breakfast, lunch and snacks up until 8 months, when he was big enough to eat what they provide. Now I only provide a sippy cup of milk and water
.) When are they shut down? Ours is closed the week of Christmas every year and two days in early September for teacher work days.
.) Do they cloth diaper (if you're into that). Ours unfortunately does not. Not that I blame them. DS has some gross diapers.
