Successful horse show weekend here. My barn looks like a frigging tornado hit. Normally I pride myself on having the cleanest barn anyone has ever been in (totally unlike my house) but I left it tonight looking like all hell broke loose. Do not care. I should take pictures tomorrow morning and on a normal day. I gave all my employees the day off tomorrow. going to do chores then headed to my mom's to grill and enjoy the beach. These long weekends are my favorite! Our kid learned to grab her feet, vibrate her lips and blow spit, and screech in the past two days. Also I think her mouth is bugging her. I won't say teething, but sometimes she is just falling apart trying to angry maw things.
He did sell his motorcycle today, though, so that's good. He put together a new high chair and sit me up. Now he's going to make steaks for dinner. I guess he did a decent amount but I still missed my nap so im a bit salty
What are adult naps!? I never nap...too much shit to do. Ugh.
I only get to nap when mh is home and if it is the weekend. And apparently if one of the other kids is napping and if it is half an hour or less. I'll take it.
DD is teething. She didn't let us sleep last night and it appears we may be in for a repeat. My poor baby
Sorry I'm terrified of teething.
My LO started rolling in his sleep last night (actually I think it's when he's waking up) and when he gets to his tummy he just screams
Teething is different for every kid and every tooth. For DDs 1+2, teething was a breeze until their eye teeth (the 2nd to last to come in). With DD1 we knew she was teething because she wanted to chew on everything that was wood - the table, chairs, her playpen, her crib, just not the wooden toy we got her for that purpose. With DD2 they just sort of showed up one day. Mine have also been late teethers so far, so I don't expect much for a while. Still, you don't have to be really afraid of teething - it might not be an issue for your kid!
We got a lot done today. All of the furniture is moved, most of the boxes, and most of the clothes. H is running back to the apartment because we forgot the bedding there, thankfully it's just around he corner. Tomorrow he's going to be running back and forth bringing over the last of the stuff, and I'll be starting to unpack/organize and dealing with the kids. We were at it until around 10 tonight.
I was so excited to have my own laundry, I didn't realize that there was no dryer. Apparently the landlord is paranoid about lint fires. So I have a washer, but we need to hang everything to dry making a shopping list now, since we will need fabric softener, and drying racks. But there's still a dishwasher, and a washer is better than nothing.

Well. J is still having diarrhea and blowing out his diapers. So that's fun. Last night we started alternating every other bottle with pedialyte on the advice of his pediatrician.
Is there anything that can stop the blowouts? It's just so much all at once. It doesn't seem like anything could stop that. He's in size 2, but he's only 14lbs.
I hope everyone else is having a nice holiday weekend. I'm throwing in the towel on this one.

If he blows out the top you can try folding the back flap in a little (toward him) to try and contain some of it. If it's out the sides I don't have much advice (sorry). And I hope he feels better soon!
Our beach trip was a success! I got to snooze with DS on the beach, DD was scared to walk on the sand, MIL made dinner. We hit some traffic both ways but nothing horrendous. It felt do-able!

Nap on the beach with your baby! Sounds amazing!! Last year DD1 was scared of the sand and ocean. I'm hoping this summer is different.
I had the worst stomach ache and diarrhea overnight. Sorry if tmi. I was almost in tears. Hoping for no repeats of that today. Im out for a walk w ds and dh is spending daddy daughter time this morning. Ill go for a run and to target later. My mom is making dinner. Dh leaves again tmrw for god knows where.

Happy memorial day, y'all!
Oh no!!! That's awful! Food poisoning perhaps? Maybe skip the run today. Sorry DH is leaving again. That sucks.

I've given some thought to just leaving him in a diaper. But then where would it go if it couldn't go up his back in his onesie. I don't want to find out.
These are the deep thoughts I'm having this weekend.
Evidently my butt is irresistible. DS bit me on my butt for the second time. He's now bit me five times in his life and the most recent two were on the butt. Best part was my reaction (screaming "ow!" and jumping/turning away) scared him so bad he wailed through time out and I had to console him after.
Kids are home. I'm now essentially useless. The living room is mostly done, the play area is done except for putting away S's toys that he earned back. We still need to set up the basement, kitchen, dining room, bedrooms and bathrooms. M is getting sleepy I think. S is fighting me about putting the toys away.

Yeah, I'd definitely keep the onesie on... You could duct tape the edges of the diaper to him (joking, people, joking). Seriously, though, diarrhea with LOs sucks. So does puking. The older DDs had the stomach flu 5 times in one year. It gets so much easier when they can get to the bucket in time to puke or to the toilet in time for diarrhea. That happens around age 3-4 (in our experience, anyway). Until then, just hang in there.
S just put himself down for a nap on the couch. Usually I discourage him from napping, because he's almost 5, and sleeps late/ goes to bed earlyish. But he is miserable today. I asked my mom and apparently he didn't go to sleep until after 10, and was up around 7. Apparently he screamed at my father, which didn't go over well, and very rarely happens
Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA on here. I'm working like crazy and E isn't sleeping, the combo of which makes for one frazzled mom. But we had an awesome long weekend just catching up and I'm thinking about asking to go to 80% (those that know me keep mum). Not sure if they'll ok but I really miss my baby girl. Sadly true part time will never be in the cards for me. Sorry silverspoon and icequeen for the GI issues. Lsquared the beach trip sounds amazing! NellieOleson beach for your birthday sounds perfect, I hope your kids sleep (mine doesn't, ever, sigh). kcrkcs congrats on a successful show weekend!

Hello ladies! Tummy trouble over here, too. We went to my mom's house today and dd2 managed to vomit so much that my mom, sister, and I all had to change our clothes. My mom got the worst of it -- right down her shirt. She came back from changing and said it was pooled up inside the cups of her bra. Sorry my baby is so gross, Ma. :/
Then on the way home, dd1 puked allllll over herself and her car seat. Luckily it happened right as we were about to take our exit off the freeway. I had to strip her down to her diaper in the driveway, and pull out her carseat, completely disassemble it, and hose it down. I still new to hand wash all the cushions and padding and take a soapy brush to the straps. She seemed like she felt better by bedtime, though, so hopefully it was just from grandma feeding her too many cookies and running around with her cousin in the sun. It's 8pm, my H still isn't home from work, but I think I'm calling it a day anyway. Here's to the J16 stomachs behaving themselves tomorrow.
kcrkcs, the horse show sounds so fun. Im def jelly of your job. Lsquared, baby...nap...beach...yeah sounds like heaven to me! silverspoon, I would just leave him in a diaper if it's warm enough. Hope it gets better but if he has a few episodes a day for a couple days id worry about dehydration so it might be worth calling the ped. NellieOleson, wow what a disaster, im so sorry nikiswimr, I dont get how you can be not sleeping that much w E and still look like a million bucks!!
