heybulldog56, the biggest things to look for are 1) how many do you see and 2) whether you see the heart flickering. I'm guessing even if you're just meeting with a tech that your OB or another doctor will read the u/s results and let you know if there are any concerns. Hopefully you get a tech that tells you a little more than others. GL!

Just finished with our ultrasound. We have one little nugget measuring 8w0d, which is one day ahead of what I had thought. Heart rate was 150bpm and we were able to see the flutter but the tech didn't turn on the sound for us to hear it.

Repeat OB appointment tomorrow to go over the results.

EDD: 1/23
How many weeks today: 6w4d

Notable previous appointment(s) results (include Month/Day @weeks): Betas 12dpo 84 and 14dpo 272 and an IUI with two mature follicles had me suspecting twins, but... today @6w4d, we confirmed we have one baby, not two! I even made her double check that there wasn't another one hiding out in my tubes or someplace else because that would be my luck. But we're clear, just the one and its measuring 1 day ahead @6w5d. We did find a HB! It was too faint for them to get the bpm rate, but we did at least see the little flicker and got to listen to it. I am a bit paranoid that maybe she couldn't get the bpm rate because it was a weak HB, but the optimistic side of me says it was just too small right now to get the rate.

Next appointment plans (include Month/Day @weeks): Next week with RE @7w4d to check growth and try to get a better reading on the heart rate. If all is good, I will be released to an OB after that appt.

Symptoms, Problems, Rants, Raves, Cravings: The queasiness finally started picking up around 6w2d, though I haven't thrown up. I've been craving fruit (mango, oranges, banana milkshakes), bland starches and salty food (cream of wheat, mac&cheese, saltines, olives). All the fatty foods are making me sick to my stomach. I take more naps, and I get heartburn.

No articles, names, or pics to share this week.

Don't know if it was the antibiotic I am taking or general pregnancy but I definitely went one step up from nausea and dry heaved this morning.

meerkatmillie, the heart is just starting to beat at 6 1/2 - 7 weeks so don't be concerned the RE couldn't get an actual reading. The fact you got to see and hear it is amazing!
