Brought to you by our recent conversations and my incredibly painful leg cramps while I was sleeping last night.
So here we go! Grab your favorite cup and figure out what it holds and how many you'll have to drink to get to 1 gallon.
Here's my favorite cup. I'm guessing it holds roughly 15oz (not quite a full bottle of water) with 4 cubes of ice. So I'll need to down 8.5 of these today...once I'm done with my coffee.
Anyone else want to play? I'm going to officially start drinking at 9am CT so by 6 I should be to my goal. Post pics too, let's make this fun!!
This is my go-to cup at work. I also have one at home. They are 20oz each so about 6 1/2 to reach a gallon, which is basically my personal water goal for each day at this point. I finished one at home already this morning before coming into work so I'm off to a good start today.
Wohoo! I just drink out of regular 8oz glasses...so I have to do 16. Yikes! But I drank one before I had coffee this am so I'm off to a better start than most of my mornings!
I just sat at my desk for 30 min and forgot to take a single sip... Then I got a notification from Tapatalk and I was reminded!
This is my problem, I've never been a thirsty person. I could carry a drink around all day and never touch it. I have to make a point to drink water...it sucks.

I was like this (pre-pregnancy too) up until the past week or so. Now I find myself getting thirsty more often which helps with keeping up on the water. Pre-pregnancy I could fill a cup in the morning at work and not finish it by the end of the day. That cannot be good for me.

I started off the day so well and have completely fallen off the train. I'm still only halfway through #3 of 7 (rounded up my 6.5 that I need to hit a gallon).

I'm starting late but I've been contracting all morning. Probably because I've had 12oz so far today. My bottle holds 20 Oz, so only 5.8 of these to go.

Well, end of my work day and I've gone through 4 of 7 tumblers. Would have liked to have done 5 at work but I slacked off mid-day. If it stays warm I'm sure I'll be plenty thirsty enough after my nightly walk later. Not sure I'll get another 3 tumblers in tonight though.
Ugh, a gallon is 128 ounces? Boo, that's a lot of water. This is my cup today. Pretty sure it's 32 oz, so I need to drink 4 of them. I'm working on #3 right now and I've been peeing all day. Still having a lot of BH but I'm hopeful that this is helping.
So my water cooler ran out with a cup and a half to go...I was looking forward to a Dr Pepper with dinner but I guess I'll be drinking more water... DH should be home in 30 min to change out the bottle, I'm not straining myself again for that...
Okay if I finish this last 24 oz bottle that I found...I will be at about 60 for the day. I think I can I think I can. Here's to waking up several times tonight to pee.

Just a PSA for the group:
**Not a medical professional, but my former-EMT brother dealt with this at races before so I wanted to share to be safe.**
As we're all trying to drink a ton of water, make sure you're eating enough through the day as well. It is possible to overhydrate which is not good for you either.
The amounts we've been talking about above shouldn't be a problem but just make sure you're also eating to keep sodium levels in your blood at an acceptable level. This is typically only an issue for athletes or when exercising, but if for some reason you can't eat, mixing in Gatorade (or something similar with electrolytes) would be a good idea.

Well I was 22.5oz short today, but I feel so water logged! I enjoyed a Dr Pepper with dinner and also ate 1/2 of an avocado with dinner so I'm hoping I won't have such bad leg/foot cramps tonight.

Just finished tumbler #6 so that's 120oz and somehow I'm still thirsty right now. Only remember having 3 Braxton Hicks all day so clearly all this water is helpful for my body.
