She's a nursing and pooping champ, adored by her big sisters.
As I was trying to dilate from 9 to complete, the nurse had me lay on my side, which was actually super comfy and I was on the verge of falling asleep. The monitor on baby's heart rate stopped recording (had been happening quite a bit). I tried to adjust it, when three nurses came running in to the room and messing with me. They laid me back, tried to find babies HB and put the oxygen mask on me. On of the nurses checked me and said I was complete, and another finally found the HB. It was so scary, I really don't know what was happening. The doctor got there after about 10 minutes and 4 pushes in literally 2 minutes she was out! We had skin to skin for 2.5 hours, of which she was on the boob for most of.
The day has been a whirlwind of family visits and trying to manage the pain of giving birth and uterine contractions.
I'm looking forward to a calmer tomorrow, with far fewer visits.
She's beautiful! When I was in labor with DD her heart rate was dropping and I had nurses rush in as well to find it and move me around. That is always scary! Glad everyone is doing well now! Congratulations again!
