DS is in the auto rock n' play next to my bed. It is rocking all night. I really need to move him to the pack n' play or at least switch it to stop rocking after 30 minutes but I've been too chicken to try it. We move in three weeks and he'll have his own room so I think the plan is to get his big sister sleeping through the night again and then transition him to the crib in his bedroom.
DD is in the swing and I turn it off when I go to bed - she stays asleep now, a few times I had to turn it back on for 20 minutes, 10, 5, then she stopped waking up. You can do it mama!
I talked to my dr. today about crib transition since I'm paranoid about having him on his own all night. She said a lot of people start to transition at 2 months b/c the babies start to move around a ton more in their bassinets. We'll see how it goes.
No kidding on the moving around in the bassinet at this age! Miles wiggles all over that thing - I don't know how he does it, though... He's in a swaddle! But every time I wake up he is in a new spot. He likes to move closer to me and presses himself against the side (bassinest, so it's an open/mesh side). Every time I wake up I'll scoot him back to the middle... few hours later, he's pressed to the side again..!
I'm planning on keeping him in until six months (when sids risk drops) and then transitioning to crib, if he doesn't outgrow the bassinet first (totally possible at his growth rate). He naps in his crib every day, so he's used to it... I hope that will help us when the time comes...
