Depends how you look at it...I started work this week and he's been sleeping like crap there. So hes tired in the evening. I get home by 5:15, I feed him while we're eating dinner (fun times for me, I end up eating cold food or DD's I should say, she thinks my food is better at the moment) and then he's been falling asleep by 6:45 and sleeping til we go to bed somewhere between 10 and 10:30. He's up to eat and then usually sleeps til 2:30 or 3 and then again at 6. We leave for daycare at 7:45 so he's up for the day sometime around there. I get basically zero time with him right now and it sucks.
Umm... E slept 8:45 - 3:20am last night (6.5 hours!!!)...then 3:45-7. But of course we had 2 month shots today, so I'm assuming any stretch like that is off the table. I'll take it though, it means it's possible!!

He may sleep even more! He may not even be fazed by them. My boys were not affected but DD had a fever, not much of an appetite, and was fussy for a couple of days. Good luck!
Plus we have to wake up at 6 am to give her medicine, so there are days she eats at 430 or 5 and it totally sucks.
Don't feel bad. W has majorly regressed to waking every two hours. He did a long stretch last night, but I'm wondering if it's an anomoly. How is your sweet girl?
She's good, thanks! Super smiley, and I love playtime. She just hates sleep and right now, when she goes down for bedtime the first sleep is never longer than an hour. It's killing me.
Nope. Not anymore. Ever since her damn hands came out of the sack she's waking up 4-5x a night. Going to lose my fucking mind.
Oh and she's not really napping at daycare either because it's too much to see and do.
I am going to be absolutely boned when I start work on Monday.
I highly recommend trying the Merlin/ it's ok for rollers. Until they can flip in the suit. It is not meant for belly sleeping, but it would be pretty tough to flip in the suit.
J usually is down between 8:30 and 9, and will typically sleep until between 4 and 5, eat, then sleep until 8 or so. A couple of times he's woken up around 2:30, but then would sleep until 8 or so after eating.
This is us exactly.
However, last night she did 9-7. Wut. My boys woke up around the same time and I didn't wake up to pee. I slept 8 straight hours for the first time in years.
We had the trifecta last night too. All three kids slept through the night. Its the little things these days that make me happy. Sleep is glorious!
A refused naps yesterday afternoon, so I put her to bed at 7:45 instead of 9. Big mistake. She was up every hour from 11:30-6:30, when she was up for the day. I'm struggling to function. At least it's the weekend.

It appears that we have established a new sleeping schedule! The twins go down around 10-10:30 and, while they occasionally wake up and need a pacifier put in their mouths (which is happening less frequently), they are not eating in the MOTN anymore. Riley is pretty good at putting herself back to sleep... Aiden usually just needs some shushing. We usually wake them up at 6am to eat before taking them to daycare.
HOWEVER... pretty sure we have started teething... so my answer might change very soon.

What in the actual hell?!?!? I had a few nights of glorious sleep with D sleeping from 7 to 2 or 3. Now we're back to every two hours like many of you have mentioned recently. He'll be 15 weeks tomorrow so I'm thinking we're in the throes of the 4-month sleep regression. I'm exhausted.

Do you pick them up every time they wake up? Or stay in bed and pray they go back to sleep? Feed them? Snuggle? Let them squirm and figure it out on their own? Genuinely asking - not sure what to do and dreading this phase... which we are quickly approaching, I am sure.
Ethan's two month shots were Friday and we had a really rough night of 101 fever after Tylenol. Since then putting him to bed has been tough. He falls asleep in my arms and wakes up as soon as I put him down... he's never been ljke that so I'm attributing it to the shots. Anybody else have a similar experience? We're going on 3 days post and it's still been a struggle

@pugsandwine, I'm actually going to start giving it a little more time when he wakes up and see if he can put himself back to sleep. As soon as I hear him, I'm up and stick a boob in his mouth, but only because I don't want my 3yo waking up. He never seems to eat much and then back to sleep in 15 minutes. So I don't think it's necessarily hunger that's waking him, but just his sleep cycles changing.

A had a hard time with shots. She had a 100-101 fever for a day and was extra cranky and not eating well for several days. I think it was around day 3-4 that she was back to normal.

What is he sleeping in? Lately, Miles will start to squirm and start to wake up a bit around 3am, but our bassinet has a vibration setting on it... I usually push that on (it turns off after twenty minutes) and he usually will fall back asleep within minutes... Just a thought.

He's been in a crib since about two weeks and the kid won't take a pacifier. So I usually go in there, change his diaper, nurse and then put him back in his sleep sack and go back to bed, a process that typically takes less than half an hour. He has a great sleep schedule during the day and nights were getting better, then boom--up every two hours. I'll give it a few more days and go from there.

LO's sleep was messed up for a week or so after the shots. Sucks. Sorry you are dealing with it, and hope you had a better night last night!

I have been trying to let DD stay in the crib as long as she is not crying - so talking, squirming, fussing all okay (even though I am not able to sleep through it). Last night she put herself back to sleep around 2:30am after talking/fussing for about 10 minutes! Yay!
I am not sure how to know when to feed or not. DD has slept through the night on occasion (9pm to 6am) so I know she is ABLE to go that long without food, but its still possible she is hungry when she wakes, right? DS1 was sleeping through the night (9pm to 6am) by this age, but DS2 was still getting a dream feed before we went to bed between 11pm and midnight. So, I guess I would do one feeding in the MOTN and if she wakes up after that, I would just try to rock her back to sleep without a bottle.

I do the knuckle trick. I read somewhere that if they latch onto your knuckle and suck with their tongue, they're hungry. If they don't try to suck on it, or suck without using their tongue, they're not hungry. I only do that middle of the night if I see his eyes open and it seems like he's looking for me.

Idk if your LO has hands out but since we ditched the swaddle it's become much easier to tell if she is hungry. If when I look over she is latched to her arm and sucking, she is hungry, if not I let her fuss it out for a bit and see if she will put herself back to sleep, which she is pretty good at doing.
We are improving. Last night D was up once at 3:30 and then woke up at a quarter to 7. With his weight gain, I'm thinking I can start weaning him off the nighttime feedings in another month or so and then get a night of uninterrupted sleep. I think I did the same when E was about 4 or 5 months and it was glorious. But I'll discuss with his pediatrician at his 4-month appointment.
How do you go about weaning them off some or all night feedings? We tried to replace one night feeding with a bottle last night in an effort to begin to wean him off the first feeding. The result? A screaming baby for 2 hours until I gave him the boob, then he was out in less than 10 minutes. Needless to say, we gave up on that for now.

Honestly, last time we did CIO with DD. Her pediatrician suggested that by the time she was 4 or 5 months, she was probably waking out of habit and not necessarily hunger. It took three nights before DD slept through the night. We started on a Friday. I always checked on her when she cried and each night, her crying got less and less. I am, by no means, suggesting you should try it as I know CIO can be controversial, but it's what worked for us so we'll probably try it again.

Do your LO's cry MOTN or do you get them before that? She sleeps right next to me, so I hear her before she cries. I feed her and she goes back down, occasionally she has a non hungry wake up, and then I just let her fuss it out but it rarely escalates to crying. I'm hoping that she drops some of the night feedings on her own, bc idk how you decide she doesn't "need" them anymore

Usually I get her before she cries because I don't want her to wake dd1. I personally think they're too young to decide if they are really not hungry in the motn. I mean I wake up hungry sometimes lol. When dd1 was older eventually I would set limits. .. So if I knew she could go 4 hours without eating dh would try rocking her if she woke up before that time. She was 6 months then. It's funny facebook memories pop up about her sleep the past couple weeks and I cringe. . Up every 2 hours tops, or that her sleep wasn't too bad I nursed her 3 times and dh rocked her twice. .. At 6 months lol it is sad I thought that was good.

It never gets to the crying stage here. I do nurse her every time she wakes up though. Sometimes it's just for 3-4 minutes and sometimes it's 20, but if she wakes up she gets to nurse. I tried a few times not to and it just escalated and made things harder. I do whatever makes sleep happen easiest and fastest MOTN.

For me it depends on the cry. If it's a hungry cry then I feed her. If she's fussy I'll wait a minute or two and then go give her back her binky. Sometimes she's just in there babbling to herself and I'm like "GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP!" but in my head of course. MH and I try to switch off when possible.
