We went to a dinner for the local French-American society last night and were by far the youngest people there, and the majority were French not American. We really went to network and but that didn't happen. We got stuck sitting next to this gal who was a bit crazy and just kept on and on about how she hates her husband and that she's only with him for her children and because she's a Buddhist.
Cal woke up from his first nap at 7:30, and H and I are both still feeling sick, so that's how our morning is going.
Hi charliefox! I think you are still an hour ahead of me!
We are heading to Bridlington today which is a shore town on the North Sea, so colder, but still supposed to be sunny. We are staying in an air bnb with my H's parents, sister and little cousin my DS's age. It's going to be a good time I think. This whole trip has been really good. The kids have been sleeping really well. I'm not sure if they are still lagged or if they are just getting more worn out every day then normal. Happy Friday everyone! It's been nice not giving one thought to work the last week and just enjoying my kids.

En route to the airport to look at houses in Dallas!
We listed our house Wednesday. We've had 2 showings so far, plus 3 more scheduled and an Open House on Sunday.
Got an offer from the first viewer, but not happy with it. It's a full price FHA offer, but the conditions of his preapproval are that we give a 3% credit. Um, that's not actually a full price offer then. Also he wants to close June 21 but the loan specifically says 45 day minimum closing, so the contract doesn't make sense as written.
All you travelling people are making me jealous!!! I can't wait to plan a trip!
Well we had our earliest wake up to date. 4:53. So first nap will be before 7:30. That's just crazy! I am not drinking coffee right now because I fully plan on napping myself when she goes down.
I'm travelling too! Look out, Ottawa! Hahaha ok so it's not "travelling" per se but it does mean I am bracing for three hours in the car with my car seat adverse child. I hope she does as well as she did last time. I am armed with snacks and toys and her latest obsession- her sippy cup.

Callie slept in her crib last night for the full night!!!! I don't even know what to do with myself right now. She woke up at 5:30 but it's all good because she hasn't slept like that in months.
This is my last day of work before we go on vacation next week. We were supposed to go to the beach but since that was with my H's parents we cancelled so we are hanging out here and getting some things done around the house. I'll probably take Callie to her first Braves game and maybe some other fun things.
Also , now I know why people buy baby play pens ... DD1 wasn't one to get into stuff so we have nice decorations on our tables and very minimal baby proofing ... But LO on the other hand , is in to everything it's pretty exhausting ... I see a baby pen in my future !

I always wondered about parents who were able to have nice things out and decorate. The bottom half of our shelves are bare because A loved to play with everything. M is actually worse since she loathes baby jail or any containment. Someday my living room will not be a series strategically placed gates. #lifegoals

My SIL is very into decor and her house looks like a magazine. First thing I did when we got there last week? Remove ALL THE THINGS. Cutesy coasters, piles of magazines, expensive throw pillows, candles, plants.
She's gonna have a rude awakening when her baby will be mobile especially since their house is tiny.
tsmith312, Hannah is crazy mobile and in to everything. I had taken the PNP down, but it is back up in my room to make getting ready in the morning possible. Of course this morning I left her on the bed with DS while I ran in the bathroom for a minute, and she fell off the bed. I didn't see it, just heard a thud. When I got to her she was on top of pillows but looked like she hit her head on the nightstand. She seems fine but I felt like crap that she fell.
I'm jealous of all you travelers. I don't even think we will make it to the beach this year since we did all the renovations to our house and I'm only working part time. I'm hoping maybe we can manage a long weekend for late summer.
I'm headed to a workout class in a bit with both kiddos. The DS is in desperate need of a haircut so I plan to take him somewhere to accomplish that. The the grocery store and a couple errands. I think this afternoon will include outside after play of some kind because it is supposed to be a warm one.
A slept better last night. Only big wakeup was at 3:30. I thought she had a poopy (she didn't), but she was very snuffly, so by the time we sucked the snot out, only a bottle would get her down. Then she slept well until I got her up for DC. Of course, her nose is running like crazy right now, so about the time her sleep improves, she's sick again.
ETA: The sideboard only came in last week, hence my happy high.
::hugs:: emejay - I bonked A in the face with her Bumbo tray. She cried and only wanted H for awhile.
Aunt Flo is being an annoying B this week. I've had off and on spotting since last weekend. Next week is my actual sans pill week in my pack, so I'm dreading that the real Flo is going to show her ugly face at my Salt Lake conference. Boooo!
cowplanet I see fingerprints and face prints in your future. Nice looking buffet thingy, though.
STUCK IN BOX
Oh yes, she christened it within an hour. Our floor to ceiling windows, sliding doors, front storm door, and bathroom mirrors all bear her love. I eventually get around to wiping them down. I think our design direction will be "toddler chic".
My mom called me at 7:30 this morning as I was walking into work to let me know my Uncle passed away. I was planning on taking a half day already so I guess now I can spend it with family. My town is having a town wide rummage sale tomorrow and I've been pulling out DS old clothes because we literally have 20 huge rubbermate tubs of clothes from newborn to 2t. It makes me so sad because a) he's getting so big b) I miss him being tiny and wearing all the cute clothes and c) it cements even more the fact that I'm done having kids which I don't think I'm okay with. All the feels today. Glad I wore waterproof mascara.
I have two incredibly active and into everything babies. With the big we ended up just making our whole living room the baby room. Thankfully now we have a playroom off the living room and I use the play yard to make a big rectangle that is sectioned off so Sam has a good, safe play space and it can b shared with his brother, or the can each have their own space to play.
Also, today the big decided it was a great day to remove his diaper. He has never done this before. What's his first diaperless order? To take a huge dump on our new rug of course! It was a man sized poop. I asked him by he didn't use the potty and he said he forgot. So I asked why he didn't poop in his diaper and he went "ewwwwwwww". I guess we should start potty training!
