I have two incredibly active and into everything babies. With the big we ended up just making our whole living room the baby room. Thankfully now we have a playroom off the living room and I use the play yard to make a big rectangle that is sectioned off so Sam has a good, safe play space and it can b shared with his brother, or the can each have their own space to play.
Also, today the big decided it was a great day to remove his diaper. He has never done this before. What's his first diaperless order? To take a huge dump on our new rug of course! It was a man sized poop. I asked him by he didn't use the potty and he said he forgot. So I asked why he didn't poop in his diaper and he went "ewwwwwwww". I guess we should start potty training!
OK, I'm sorry, but this made me literally LOL.
+1
I honestly am not sure how I would react outside of laughing. MW on the other hand would be horrified and gag.
tsmith312, As I let M crawl around yesterday, I realized setting up a play pen is going to be necessary. We have our house baby proofed, but I still feel like she will find something to get into.
Love stride rite shoes! emejay We found a few like new pairs at baby consignment stores and they are the only ones that stay on her feet. I still haven't been able to get her Toms to stay put so I don't put them on her for fear of losing one or both.
Afm, I had no idea that it was Friday until turning on the news this morning. I love it when that happens! M had a rougher night of sleep but still slept pretty good overall and woke up so happy. We are having so much fun and enjoying seeing her little personality shine. She is so so sweet and loving with just enough sass!
Also, has anyone's LO suddenly become a light sleeper? Out of no where, M wakes up so easily and by sounds that never affected her before such as the dogs barking. We've tried music and white noise but it hasn't helped.
H had to go to work early this morning, so he was up and out the door before 7am. The best part is he slept downstairs last night so I had the whole bed to myself & the kids & I stayed in bed till 8am!! I hope it was my pep talk with DS about staying quiet in the morning and we will come get him when we are up. I know he was up before I got him out of his room but at least he didn't wake up is sister!
H brought home a big cardboard tube from work. DS & I have been racing cars through it. We also got out his crayons and colored all over it too!
I had a whole post typed out and then the internet ate it.
Anyway, today has been no fun. H is super sick and I'm just trying to help him get well so that we don't have to cancel our fun weekend. Also crossing all things that the train strike doesn't affect our trips tomorrow or Sunday.
MH and I are running errands together minus Asher for the first time since September (he's at DC still and we had a 1/2 day for finals - were running personal errands while waiting for our EOCs to be scored by the district so we can finish grades).
Thanks everyone! As sad as it is he was fighting a losing battle with cancer. He was in so much pain that it was almost a relief that he passed. DS just yelled from the other room that DD was standing by herself. Can barely crawl but can stand unassisted. She jus turned into a standing potted plant ?.

I'm sorry to hear he was in pain - I know that situation all too well.
Asher is also a standing potted plant. He will 'walk' if someone's holding his hands. There's always time to be wrong, but I believe he may skip crawling....

Allie has been pivoting everywhere, but today she discoverer how much faster it is if she goes forward. So, I officially have an army crawler. Ben never army crawled. And he didn't really move around at all until 10.5 months. So, she's beating her brother by 2 actual months and 3.5 adjusted months. They do say girls pick things up faster!
I'm laying in bed between two sleeping kids. Thank goodness because L has been a threenager today. So many Nos! This afternoon should be easy, though, since my parents are coming over. It's a beautiful day in the PNW!

There is a tiny girl at DC (she reminds me of Dani) who has been crawling for weeks if not months now. Yesterday, she was standing by herself. My kids pulls himself around with his arms but does not crawl or stand. So I asked how old she was, thinking she must be close to one. Nope, born in September like my kid. I rationalized it by saying boys are lazier then girls.
