I think it's harsh to judge the mother from the "Cincinnati Zoo incident". I can see how it could've been prevented if she had eyes on him at all times, but I think as parents, mistakes are inevitable.

I have just been dealing with the spotting from my IUD by free bleeding. I hate pads and it's not enough that I want to wear a tampon. I have ruined a pair or two of underwear but I don't even care.

starrynight14 I agree completely. Anyone who has ever had a toddler knows that they can be incredibly fast and incredibly motivated when they want to be. It is a tragic situation all around.
peachesncream panty liners? I usually don't even notice when I'm wearing one. I use them for the last two days of my period usually

I need to get to the store. Do they sell panty liners on Amazon?! Lol

I am hanging out here, because it's just too painful for Jan 17 right now.
My FFFC is that we never really baby proofed our condo. We put things in the electrical sockets, but didn't out anything on our cabinets, oven, etc . We only have 950 SF and are together pretty much 100% anyway (DD likes to glue herself to my side).
We never babyproofed our house either. Not even the things in electrical sockets. We tried those once and she was more likely to try to pry them out haha! We gave up baby gates about 6-8 months ago too. #parentsoftheyear
I've been judging the shit out of my cousin and his girlfriend. I'm pretty certain their newborn baby (only 3 weeks old) has been with my aunt more than them. Everytime we see them out and about the baby is not with them. My aunt watched him overnight when he was just 5 days old just so they could have a break, he's already gone to a sitter so she could have a break, etc.

FFFC: I let DD2 just eat the refried beans and tortilla chips for lunch at the Mexican restaurant because she loves it and won't eat any food I order her anyway. I tip extra but I kind of feel like I'm cheating.
UO: I think it's flat-out shameful that so many high profile people are jumping on the racist, misogynistic Trump bandwagon now that he's the nominee. It shows a total lack of principles IMO. The idea that someone like that controlling the nuclear arsenal is somehow better than the other side winning is so far beyond the pale that it's unforgivable in my book.
mrsnorris I have no idea. She's BSC as it is. I think she is the type that doesn't want to deal with her kids (she has 2 older) and just party all the time. My cousin is dumber than a box of rocks and just wants to party as well so it's working in his favor, too.

I sort of laugh when people who went overdue with their first kid pack their hospital bags way early for their second. Wishful thinking at its best? Personally looking at that bag would just piss me off.

Ah, well that's totally flame worthy in my book. I do not understand people who keep having kids and yet don't want to spend time with them. Get a cat or something.

Not sure how this is a confession. Seems like the norm thing to me!

I have family members like this but I think that often times the enabling family members are equally to blame. Why the eff would your aunt agree to watch a 5 day old??

peachesncream she only has my 35year old cousin. My uncle passed away 5 years ago, her mom and dad passed after my uncle, and she is a recluse (we were actually surprised to see her at my uncle's funeral!)... so she is probably more than happy to do so and I'm not judging her for it.
Clearly an UO with the potential buyer that looked at our condo yesterday:
I think that if you use the bathroom in someone's house THAT YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW, you should put the lid back down afterwards (if it was down when you found it) . We got home and the lid was up. Thanks for spraying poo particles all over my bathroom, potential buyer!
Also, not sure if this is an UO, but the lid should always be down anyway
In general, I prefer the lid to be left up. I don't want to always have to lift the lid when I need to go.

I don't know, maybe it's not. It seems kind of like filling up on the free bread and only paying for an appetizer which is not okay IMO.

Omg she's 35?? I was thinking she was in her early 20s, young and dumb.
I'm judging the heck out of her, leaving a 5 day old baby??? And her mother is an enabler

All three of my siblings have been waitstaff and they never expected parents to order for a toddler. I think around 3 or 4 that expectation changes.
We only order a kid's meal if we think he'll eat it or if we won't be home in time for us to feed him a toddler appropriate meal. For mother's day breakfast I just ordered him toast and we each shared bits of our food with him

I completely agree. I realize I have to accept that there are people in our country who support and will vote for Trump, but when I hear politicians backing him up, I'm like, really??? How is he being taken seriously by others who supposedly had values and better visions for our country? I also am shocked by the loyalty people have to their party. Under no circumstance do I understand supporting Trump just to maintain the Republican Party.

Yes! Not quite the exact same situation, but my MIL does way too much (IMO) of the things my sil should be doing. I blame them both.
Also, since DS was about a week old FIL has been saying "When are you going to come sleep over?" WTF, he's a breastfed newborn! So, they probably would have jumped at the chance. He still says it now, which is a whole other issue. My parents, on the other hand, would have been asking me if everything was ok and telling me to take care of my responsibilities if I was trying to dump a newborn at their house.

My cousin is 35. I think his girlfriend is close to 30.

FWIW, support for Trump has caused a good number of my conservative friends and myself to abandon the Republican Party. We just can't with his character and with the fact that so many Republicans (voters and leaders) have turned out to be hateful and weak just as they were accused of being.
I still hold to conservative principles of government, but no longer consider myself affiliated with a party.

This. Ever since freshman biology class did a unit on bacteria I'm militant about this. Also, I never ever use the blow driers in public bathrooms anymore. *shudder* That class scarred me for life.
