While I'm sitting here wishing I was in a pool, I'm curious where you all swim? We need a new above ground pool and I can't decide if I want a small one for the kids or a bigger one we all can enjoy.
While on the topic, does LO like to swim/play in pool?
I said community pool but we also bought her a little kid pool for the days when we want to be outside but don't feel like venturing out, especially when #2 is due in weeks.

Community pool with a shallow shore entrance and splash pad. It's amazing because DS can splash and sit by the water and be free. He doesn't like deep pools with me holding him or just in his floaty thing. If I had the luxury of building my own splash pad I would lol
We don't really have any swimming options right now Well, the ocean, but that is such a pain. We will sign DD up for lessons at a community pool soon though.
IL's in ground pool Also usually the lake but I won't be getting in this summer with Cam. I'd have to take a shower before nursing again and that seems like too much of a pain. A absolutely loved swimming last year. We haven't been in yet this year. We plan to go tomorrow though! He loves the water so the only thing in question is how pissed he'll be with the life jacket.

We have an above ground pool at home. We haven't been in yet bc it's not warm at all. We find ourselves most often going to rivers and lakes nearby. We don't have public pool options... Kinda lame, but nature wins out, I guess.

Neighborhood pool - it's 4 houses down. DD1 loves it. DD2 is scared of it but simultaneously really wants to get in. It's her big struggle: to get in the pool and cling to Mom in terror or to stand whining at the edge?
We live in the cold north so not too many people have pools. We don't know anyone who does. My DH isn't a fan of the above ground pools and so we have had a number of inflatable things for the kids. Tons of people here swim at country clubs and private gym clubs and I'm worried we'll have to join when the kids get older if all their friends are going to such a place all summer. The city has two free pools but they are small and I've heard they are always insane. There is also an outdoor aquatic center with water slides and a splash pad near our house but it costs a lot and is also quite crowded so I'm a little worried about taking the kids by myself, although my DH and I took them a lot last year in the evenings. There are two free splash pads without pools in the area and 1.5 hours away there is a real beach. There are also a number of indoor waterparks that are possible day trips but we haven't been.

How did I forget to add lakes/oceans/beaches to the poll? They only exist in my dreams, so that's probably why I dismissed them! Lol. Well, there are plenty of lakes where I live, but we do more boating then swimming there whenever we do go.
