I can't stop thinking about the AMAZING Mexican quinoa bake I'm going to make for dinner tonight. I'll make mahi-mahi for DH (he doesn't do vegetarian and I don't do fish. So we do both).
H and I are having date night at a local paint your own pottery place, they let you carry in food and beveerages, so we're bringing wine and I just sent H a text to pick up anything that can be dipped in hummus on his way home from work.
I'm finally feeling better, but I'm not ready to go out yet. Dh will probably pick up take out and maybe we can have it on real plates and stuff rather than out of the box. I'm pushing for Bj's brewhouse

Depends on what DH makes me tonight. First, he is in the dog house, so he should cook for me. Second, I cook all week for since he works so by the time the weekend rolls around I am tired of cooking and he is an amazing cook.

I just switched from night shift to day shift so H and I are finally going out to dinner on a Friday night, I'm thinking burgers and beer shaks at Red Robin.

I had a couple extractions at the dentist so I'm on a limited diet for the next day or so. I wanted soup but that's a no-no so, at this point, I have no clue. Maybe some chicken?

No bueno. I lived on yogurt and pudding for a few days afte I had a wisdom tooth yanked. HEB has THE BEST pudding ever; Jell-o doesn't cut the mustard any more.
I was really hoping the title "WFD?" meant "Wine For Dinner?" We'll probably do homemade soup, both FI and I have been sick. Mexican food sounds so good though!

I could go for some yogurt and pudding. Will definitely have to pick some up at the store today.

This week was all sorts of messed up since we took a mid-week day off from work; a friend came from out of town to go to a Halestorm concert with us on Tuesday. Therefor we already ate at a lot of our Friday night places earlier in the week, but I didn't plan anything to cook so I am at square one. All I know is that my butt will be on the couch in time to watch Constantine tonight.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
DH gets back after a week away. I'm thinking a large french fry and a frosty from Wendy's on the way back from the airport! Maybe a pizza. We have a cray weekend so easy is key!
@wineandchpcakes You speak to my heart! Last night I had a large fry and McFlurry from McDonald's! ;-)

Not really feeling the whole cooking thing -- I'm gonna try to convince DH to go out somewhere tonight for dinner. Only problem is every place we want to go ends up being slammed by the time we get home so that kinda sucks. Maybe we will just do breakfast for dinner.

Ugh, everyone is making me hungry! I want to make something yummy, but we will probably end up doing leftovers. I'm usually tired when I get home and really hate cooking. Wish I liked it more as I have so many good recipes.

DH is getting a root canal today, so some sort of soup.
marajadeskywalker care to share your recipe? I could eat potato soup every day.
Sure thing!!
- 10 baking potatoes (or a 5lb bag of regular ones if you are impatient like me) cooked until soft and smashed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 lb bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
- 1 brick old cheddar (shredded)
- 1 tub sour cream (500mL)
- 7 cups milk
- green onion diced (optional)
- pepper to taste
Melt butter, add flour to make a paste (as if making a cheese sauce). Slowly add milk and stir constantly, cook on medium heat until it starts to thicken. Add potatoes, sour cream, cheese, bacon and onion. Stir and mush out any large potato lumps. Simmer.
I get about 8 - 10 servings from this and its even better with more cheddar sprinkled on top. For a little kick, use the TexMex shredded cheese on top.
