I give EPers credit, that takes so much time and commitment. I cringe when I have to get the sucker out. I do have to say that it's kind of neat how much more is pumped out now compared to when she was first born. Just how much our bodies adapt through this whole process.

Question not really EP related but how many ounces is everyone doing per bottle? E eats 5 -6 ounces every 3 1/2 hours or so with his first bottle at around 5:30am and his last bottle at 11:30pm. I feel like we should be at the point where he should be able to STTN without that 11:30 bottle but I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

It is amazing. I've always had a supply issue but have been able to go from 7 pumps a day to 5 and am actually getting a little more milk per day.

Question: whenever I pump today, there is a pain that feels like it is traveling through my left breast all the way through to my nipple. Any idea what the hell this could be? It happens each time the suction pulls my nipple in the flange and it stops for the second or so before the next intake ( I hope that makes sense). TIA

Maybe a clogged duct?
Thanks. I didn't feel anything but put heating pad on it and massaged for awhile. It doesn't hurt today so who knows.
Today I returned my Symphony and I am done! Most importantly I finally reached a place where I'm at peace and happy about it!
No regrets! I'll creepy lurk from the sidelines and wish you guys the very best. Thank you all for the advice and commiseration over the past few months!

Congrats on divorcing the pump! Man, that's got to feel great!
marsinvestigations, I would try weaning him the 11:30 feeding if you could. You know, go down to 4, 3, 2, 1 oz gradually and just add the other ounces into his other bottle.
Sorry, not an EP-er but I do pump at work and always followed the other thread for advice

I was an EPer until about 2 months ago. I never posted, but was a creepy lurker on this thread daily. I checked in every time I was pumping - and I still continue to check in. Just wanted to say THANKS to all of you... you were a lifeline for me during that time. You all helped me feel proud to EP (as we all know, people don't understand EP-ing unless they've done it)! So just wanted to pop in and say thanks. You all are and continue to be incredible!

[br I think we will give this a try. We are waking him at 1130 at this point because we didn't want to chance letting him go and then him waking us up at 2am hungry. But I think a gradual shift in the ounces will be easier. Thanks!
I have had so many supply dips and I have recovered from all of them but I just don't know if I can do it anymore. EPing sucks! I have been traveling for two weeks so maybe when I get home and get in my good pumping chair things will get better.

I'm with you - EPing sucks (for real)! Hope your supply rebounds when you get home. When I was lurking while EPing day in and day out, you were one of my heroes! Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your ups and downs -- your LO is so lucky to have such an amazing mama.
I'm sorry That's so frustrating. My supply blows and I have to supplement. I forgot my pump parts today and now I have to run home at lunch to get them. I think its a sign that I should just stop. I'm so over pumping.
