That are your thoughts on taking a baby to a bar? There is a sports bar in town and they make the best food ever! I really want to go but would have no one to watch Little Man. Is it tacky?
I've done this. At this age, they mostly sleep in the infant car seat or baby carrier, so I think it's fine as long as the bar allows children and isn't smoky.
So our plans to play golf yesterday with my parents and nephew got pushed to today. I almost told them that we weren't going because I was super tired this morning, but I'm glad I pushed through! It was a lot of fun and absolutely gorgeous outside! Z was amazingly good too! No fussing and she seemed to love the breeze in her hair
We are heading to my parents house to eat and chill out before TWD! I hope her good baby attitude continues! Mommy needs her zombie fix

I feel like there is also a big difference in a sports bar vs a real bar. At least here there is a different atmosphere between the two. I would take baby. You're going to eat not lining up shots. (or are you?)
Ugh, we have had a couple of rough days here, I am feeling pretty down. My formerly calm, relaxed baby has decided that he doesn't want to be put down, ever, which makes it really hard for me to get anything done during the day. When I do put him down he screams and cries so hard that I have to pick him right back up. I can't even manage to get dinner made for my 5 year old which makes me feel terrible. He is also having a lot of gas and gas pain. His tummy is grumbling a lot and he has really loud farts that seem to hurt him. Gas drops and gripe water help but only immediately after he gets them. He just wants to nurse all the time and then spits up. My house is so horrible and loud and I am starting to think that he is getting overstimulated and not resting. I have two small dogs who bark all the time and wake him up. I kind of want to strangle them! My h and dd make huge messes and never clean up so I just have to sit here looking at the wreckage but can't fix it. My h works evenings and takes one feeding around 2 or 3 am then thinks he should be able to sleep until it is time to get ready for work then he gets up and instead of showering quickly so that I can get a bit of help, he soaks in the bathtub then showers so he had no time to help me. I am essentially alone all day and all evening with both kids. I was so looking forward to my maternity leave but now I am not sure how I can stand 8 more weeks like this. I loved maternity leave last time but this just sucks. I feel like a bad mom feeling that way

Haha! Yea no shots! I haven't had a single drink since I had him. I'm too scared for it to be in my milk. I just don't know if I could handle judgmental looks from strangers so we will see if I get the courage. I know my husband would be so excited if I agree to it

Do they allow children there? If they do, no problem at all. If not, I would probably feel a little weird about it too. Take out?

I'm not sure about if this bar let's kids in. I'm thinking I'll just have my husband bring some home. We will see.

Sports bar? I wouldn't hesitate. Do they have a seating area that isn't high tops? Also, it's not like you are going on a Friday or Saturday night.

Anyone watching the Grammys? I just kept thinking that Madonna is 2 years older than my mom. Kudos to Madonna for being fabulous at any age, but I'd feel weird if my mom was on stage with her boobs up to her chin being passed around by men in bull masks. Just sayin'.
Got to hang out with my mom and sister today, hands free! Evie was awake, fed, then slept in their arms for 3 hours. They were in heaven. She woke just when my sister was leaving to feed. I love this baby.
Excited to go watch TWD! And tomorrow going to schedule a photo shoot at JC Penney (have $50 gift card for it from MIL) and I know exactly what we'll wear!

I'm sorry he isn't feeling well! I always think tummy troubles when they don't stop nursing. Hopefully things get better soon.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
This weekend has not been good. DH and I keep misunderstanding each other and arguing over everything. No matter what gets brought up, no matter how innocent the topic, it turns into an argument. His mom called him and was upset about something and so they argued, but worked it out, but he's been defensive ever since and we can't catch a break. We haven't gone on a date, or had time just the two of us, since my birthday last year at the beginning of May. No one but his parents live close enough to babysit and they are pretty busy, so we can't catch a break. We'll be going on our date finally at the end of this month to celebrate our anniversary, but I'm nervous about it because lately it feels like all we do is argue and I hope we can both relax and enjoy the time away.
I can relate, dh and I have been fighting a lot. For years actually. I keep hoping we can get back where we were. Don't be afraid to hire a babysitter if you can afford it. Or a friend who wants to trade date nights with you. They watch your kids one night, you watch theirs another night.
