britbratjf Happy Birthday birthday twin! Glad your clog seems to be resolved.
It's my birthday today. Z woke up early at 5 and wasn't going back down, so H got up with him. He brought him back to bed at 7 and we napped until 8:30. Unfortunately, I must have slept in a weird position and my shoulder is killing me today. Might try to go to the chiro today. But for now I'm relaxing in bed while H and Z are downstairs.
My friend is coming over at 10 today and hopefully she and I and Z will head to brunch. My ILs will probably get here around 11. We have Z's 9 month appt at 1 and my parents will come for dinner around 4.
Happy Birthday to you too!!
I'm jealous Z will nap with you. I'd love to lay down and cuddle with Freya sometimes but no go. Hope you have a good day!
I'm also already anxious about our home inspection tomorrow. I 100% don't trust these buyers, and fully expect them to be grossly unreasonable regarding any deficiencies on the inspector's report. Aside from a few small repairs that we know will come up, which we have no problem fixing, they can fuck right off with any other requests. I have no plans on replacing AC units or our water heater (both less than 10 years old), reinsulating our attic, and we already disclosed that there is a large crack in our driveway.

The nap with me was a rarity. I'm considering it my birthday present.
Inspections are a pain in the ass, eh txshep? Our buyer wants to come through next Wednesday at 4:30. Um, we have bedtime at 7. Where the fuck am I going to go for a few hours in the evening with a cranky baby? I guess we'll go to dinner super early and pray she behaves. But we will be coming home at 6:30 and if they aren't done, tough shit. Baby bedtime is sacred.

4:30p on a weekday?! That's awful. Ours is 10am (exactly Dani's nap time), so we'll probably drive around for a bit so she can nap in the car, get lunch, go shopping... Who knows what else. We're being told it'll take 3-4 hours. I'd be angry if they wanted to do that at bedtime.

Sounds like you're in good a position though to tell them to pound sand if they're crazy, if you got an offer that quickly it shouldn't be too hard to get another one. This part is always so stressful.

That is 100% our plan. We're already paying a large portion of their closing costs, I'm not about to budge on anything else. They can go buy a different house.
Thanks emejay. Maybe we should revisit sleep training. When we did it before she would cry so much during MOTN wake ups that she would end up being awake for hours sometimes beause she would get so worked up and be hard to settle. So, we stopped because the thought of getting even less sleep than we were already getting was too much to handle. Then, she started teething. But, maybe we need to try again. Thanks.
I agree to revisiting the training and just starting with bedtime. Treat motn as you have but just focus on her falling asleep without the boob at bedtime. Then progress to extending the first stretch of sleep. Does she like to be held while she sleeps? If so, the Dockatot has worked wonders for us but I'd hate for you to buy it if it doesn't work because it is SO expensive.
I'm moving offices and it's such a PIA. IT is coming today to transfer my computer, which will put me out while they do it. Then I have to physically move everything over. But it's a much bigger office and so shiny and new!
We have A's birthday party tomorrow at a jump/bounce house place. My inlaws want to meet at our house first. Which means Glen must obsessively clean and do yard work so they "don't think we live like animals." I'm still pissed at them so I don't give a crap what they think and wish they'd just go straight to the party.
Mil wants to give A her gift at our house. She always does this so she can get undivided attention for her gifts. No one can adequately ooh and aah and gush if her gift is giving with all the others at a party. She did this with my bridal shower, baby shower and every Christmas.
We went to a maritime industry event in the city last night and I'm super hungover. We leave for a weekend away in upstate New York in two hours and I haven't started packing. Fml. Plan to get McDonald's drive through once we hit the road.

J loves the cat too. He squeals and screams when he sees her. She wants nothing to do with him. He grabs at her and I'm so worried she will wear at him. My other cat that just passed was a much more patient soul and would let J touch him and would sit next to him. I'm still so sad about my other cat. I know J would have loved him.
Tomorrow night is date night! We have a babysitter coming. She was recommended by my old neighbor. Turns out, she's charging way more than other people spend on sitters in the neighborhood.
J has one tooth that has been hanging out for weeks. I can see it through his gums but it just won't cut. Poor kid.
estakis - I echo caitost21. The first time we tried sleep training it was a disaster. He wasn't ready at all. Does he fall asleep while nursing? Do you give him a paci? I found that when J fell asleep nursing or with a paci he had to have one or the other when he went through transitions otherwise he freaked out. We went cold turkey on the paci when we trained but you could also try to not nurse to sleep and give a paci instead, then wean from the paci.

Please offer her something to drink with a laxative in it.

I just reactivated my FF account. *gulp*.
I also had so many feels going back and looking at my charts from July-December 2014. We're not planning to TFAS just yet, but I want to start tracking my cycles so that come September-ish I'll have a better idea where I'm at. We figured out our timeline that I'm going to write the MCAT summer 2017 and apply for med school start September 2018. We also decided to have baby #2 before I start university otherwise it would be about 6 years between babies.
Hoping for #2 to be born sometime between June-September 2017 so they'll be 1 by the time I start med school (if I get accepted). This is so scary and exciting!
Would someone please let my children know 6am is not an acceptable time to start the day. SO and I stayed up too late watching something on TV. And there is no coffee in the house!!!! Low key day planned here. Story time at the library this morning, grocery store, and then this afternoon I'm going to get out the pool for the kids to play in. It supposed to be90 today so the only way we will be outside is with water.
I hear you. Although 6am has become our new "acceptable" time after weeks of 5:45.

We have similar timelines, though I am refusing to admit that out loud. I am back to work in spring 2019, so if we have a second I would like it to be a year, if not 18 months, at that time for day care reasons.
It's my birthday today Big slept until 7:30 and DD2 woke up right after. Now enjoying some French press coffee in my new LuLaRoe comfy clothes!
I think I'll take the girls for some yummy ice cream later. Then I'm getting my nails done for my BFFs wedding with her & the other bridesmaids and going to dinner with my Dad & stepmom (DH is staying with the girls so I can actually sit and enjoy dinner!).
cocopuff you are a saint for even trying to put up with your MIL. She needs a throat punch ASAP.
txshep I'm kind of starting to think you may want something to come up at the inspection so you can walk away from these people. Their demands are getting a little ridiculous.
Hannah's new favorite "toy" is the volume knob on the sound for the TV. Turning it up and down is so fun. My poor toddler is trying not to get mad when she does it during his shows, but she won't stay away from it.
andtheheartbreakers, I reactivated FF when AF came back a few months ago so that I could just track general things. I'm thinking I might start temping next cycle since we're considering TTC after September as well. It's all so scary!
cocopuff, glen needs to get it together and stand up to his parents! I hope A has a wonderful party!
Well, it's our last night here. Just need to pack and get ready for our super early train to Paris in the morning. Last night we decided to go out to dinner, did bedtime then stuck C in the stroller and figured he'd fall asleep. 2 hours later we gave up and just sat down at a restaurant. I barely got to eat my food because I was too busy rocking him to sleep in the Ergo. Then he woke up again as we walked home. Tonight the plan is to put him to bed then pack a bit, then transfer him to the Ergo and head to dinner - I hope it goes a bit better, can't be worse!
I'm going to live vicariously through those of you who are thinking of TTC soon. When ds1 was this age I was getting antsy about trying again (even though he was a difficult baby and a bad sleeper). I started temping when he was 11mo and started TTC when he was 14mo.
I thought I might get baby fever again but the thought of getting pregnant and having a third baby makes me shudder. Props to the moms of 3+!

So today's adventure was only half good. We went to town hall to fix DS birth certificate, the town clerk rolls her eyes at me and tells me the lady who revises them is out on vacation for 2 weeks. It's going to cost me 30.00 dollars to fix it, wtf I didn't fill out my info wrong the town or hospital should be paying for that! Some lady at a desk says if I call her Monday morning she will see if she can squeeze me in as an appointment to fix the issue. Great I won't have a sitter then. So they tell me I need my long form birth certificate for myself to correct the issue, I asked why I was born in this town you have it on file just look it up, nope if I can't find mine I have to pay an additional 10.00 for a copy of mine. So left that place less than thrilled
The good part I got new sneakers & socks with my gift card from my sister! My mom stayed in the car with the kids so I got to shop alone too!
andtheheartbreakers I can't bring myself to delete the FF app from my phone! I'll look back at my old charts every now and then, especially the one from Dec 2014. Nevermind the fact that we basically triple up on birth control because DNW more than Dani. lol
House update: Tomorrow's inspection will be just the inspector. The buyers have no desire to be there for 4 hours on a Saturday, and their agent has no desire to be there either. Hopefully their inspector isn't ridiculously unreasonable with what he sees as "issues." I'm still dreading getting the report.
Also, we learned that since this is an FHA loan, our house absolutely has to appraise for a certain value otherwise they won't provide the loan to the buyers. Holy shit. I wish they were using a conventional mortgage company, but they don't want to put any money down so...
