I figured I'd listen to you ladies and make a post for baby and I updates. So far no change he's still being watched. And unless he stops being so sassy that won't change. I did call my doctor for some advice but have yet to here back most all the hospital doctors that have come in have said they'll remove the stitch but at least one said she wants to leave it in because going in and poking around could actually bring on labor so I was hoping a conversation with my doctor would help. But I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings part of me is hoping they leave the stitch in for a few more weeks at least so I can try and hit the 30 week mark but who knows.

I hope you hear back from your dr soon. I would think the hospital would want input from the dr who is most familiar with your pregnancy before making the decision to pull the stitch.

I hope the hospital can talk to your doctor asap so they can make a plan as a team and keep Jackson cooking as long as possible. You are so strong, know that you're in all of our thoughts!

Ok so it looks like the reason their continuing the heart monitering on jackson is because at least once an hour his heartrate dropes so until that stops I'll be watched
My initial thought was to not remove the stitch too. I'm not a dr, but I'm very of the mindset that the less poking around in there, the better. Also, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. So my personal feels would be to leave it until it HAS to come out. Also, nothing would be happening until I spoke to my dr!!
I'm sorry you've got all this going on! How often are they checking your dilation? The more they go in, the more opportunities you are exposed to possible infections. That would be my concern if I were in your situation. I know they need to do some things, but with so many Drs going in and out, you're going to have to advocate for yourself a bit.
Feel free to take everything I've said with a grain of salt. I get that I prefer a very hands-off approach and not everyone agrees.

They are not checking anything down there yet and I imagine they won't until they take out my stitch, they have no reason to. DH and I talked and we're definitely going to push for leaving the stitch alone until it becomes an issue, right now I have no contractions or signs of infection so we would rather not poke a sleeping bear so to speak.

Definitely sounds like it would be better to leave things alone for now. Considering you're not contracting, leaving the stitch in to keep your cervix closed makes sense to me (not that I have any medical knowledge).

I do have experience with the cerclage! Mine was placed at 16 weeks and then at 23 weeks one of my bags of water broke (pregnant with twins). I was in the hospital on bed rest for 8 days before I delivered my girls. When I got to the hospital we were given the choice to leave it in or take it out. We decided to keep it in. I will save all the gruesome details.
My suggestion is if you are not in active labor leave it alone but when you get to the point where they are stopping your active labor have it removed early on. I hope you make it much further than I did! My girls did have a NICU stay but are doing exceptional right now.

Well I talked to the doctor he agreed to leave the stitch in for now until its becomes a problem. Im not allowed to eat st the moment because he had some prolonged dips in heart rate last night so im going to be monitored for a few more hours and if it appears to be norm for him then they let me start eating again. But if it goes down and won't come back up I going to have to have a emergency c-section and theh don't want anything in my stomach for now. So heres hoping little boy evens out soon we need him to stick around in there a while longer.

Well hes been quite cooperative pretty much all day and as long as things continue to tonight I can get off the monitor at 9pm so here's hoping. And I got a pizza grinder coming for dinner so happy camper here. We had an ultrasound in our room and everything checked out except he fell asleep before he practiced breathing for her but apparently that not unheard of we tried to prod him awake but no luck but I still passed their threshold for a good check.
