Hi!! Coming back to my home board!! Miles is m14 and Lucci is 5 weeks now. Thank god for daycare for M. Accomplishments: I manage to do one load of laundry and dishes almost everyday. But riddle me this: tomorrow, I'll be home alone with both kids. How the hell do I put Miles to sleep at night??? One kid or both will be crying a lot!!!
Recent accomplishments? You and/or your LOs? I take both girls out by myself more frequently now. I'm not as nervous as I used to be but it's still draining. DD1 continues to talk nonstop. She amazes me everyday with her vocabulary and sentence structure. DD2 rolls over all the time and is very smiley.
Recent challenges or questions? DD1 is gong through a sleep strike. Refusing to nap and staying up way too late at night. Today is the third day of this nonsense and I'm very frustrated. She is exhausted and I'm not sure what to do. My husband has had to take her on a car ride the past 2 nights to fall asleep.

fish8412 it's crazy how draining it can be just getting ready to leave and getting the kids in the car. That's probably still the 'worst' part of taking them out.
babycaps, bedtime was a struggle for me for awhile. Yes, there was lots of crying, mostly from L. He still screams though.
I do the entire routine with both kids in my arms (read book, rock, and laying DD in bed). L seems to scream now only when DD crawls into my lap, almost like he is jealous she is sitting in my lap too.

M did this too!! A full week of no naps and horroble night sleep but he's back to normal. We just persisted. It coincided with a huge language jump!
@babylentilbean, no help sounds rough!!! Im in awe. I would crumble a bit. But I had both of them this morning and it was ok!!!

Sadly, I don't usually have help with anything.
I'm in awe that you do bedtime by yourself! Bedtime is hard for even both me and my husband!

I agree!! Before I go to bed, I always pack the diaper bag for the next day. One less thing to do when leaving the house.

That has been one of the best things I've been doing. It's always a challenge getting everyone out the door so it helps to not have to worry about having everything.

So I had my "6 week PP appointment today" even though it's only been 5 weeks. My dr put me on the mini pill for now but gave me info on Mirena and Nexplanon. Any insights to either?? I plan on reading the info from my dr but would love to hear personal experience stories.

I'm no help for either as I have a copper IUD. But there have been a few discussions of Mirena on parenting lately if you want to read others experiences.
lakecountrygal, not my own experience, but my sister initially loved it and then the bleeding never stopped and she became very anemic. In theory, ti's amazing. She fell on the "not for me" category.

fish8412, we are having another little nap regression, this time I'm pretty sure related to him learning how to dress/undress himself and yesterday he counted to 12!!!!!

Funny you say that because all of a sudden DD1 is counting nonstop!! She has become a chatterbox within the past few days so I'm guessing the sleep struggles are related.
