babyzebra come out baby!!! Mommy wants to spend time with you on the outside!
dontstopbelievin mans nymama917 I've noticed the same things. First time around I knew when I was in labor and never thought is this it before that moments. I honestly wondered how can you not know if your in labor or not?! And this time around I feel like I'm constantly thinking is this contraction real and labor is beginning or not?
AFM, today is my last day at work and I'm a little sad about it. I have a dr appointment tonight where I will get the details of my scheduled induction on Tuesday. I'm also hoping a cervix check will reveals some good news.
I also came up with a perfect Father's Day gift but then realized its a lot of money to spend on something he doesn't need. So I got him flip flops and a new beach towel. I am officially the lamest wife ever.
Just in case anyone needs a strategy for when you are at your white end. Wheeling a screeching 4 day old down the hall gets some attention.
Eta: that's whits end.
I'm so sorry Stringy, they should not be taking their time with a hungry and in need infant. You are right to do what you need to do in order to get them moving on it.
babyzebra, I still have the 600mg ibphrophrn from leaving the hospital, it definitely helps. I'm just hoping they go away completely soon.
Random, and maybe an FFFC but years ago I got a nipple piercing, I took it out just before I got pregnant with DS and haven't had it in since but it kind of changed the shape of my nipple a bit. Anyway both of my babies have had a very strong preference for my formally peirced nipple when nursing, the non peirced one literally gets looks of disgust from my DD and DS would only nurse from that one using a nipple shield for awhile. So obviously I should have had both of them peirced.

Took the kids to get Marleys newborn photos done. DD1 and DS were AWFUL! DS actually yelled at me in the middle of the lobby that was filled with families (I was mortified). He has never done that to me before. I'm so upset at the way they acted. I guess it's to be expected with the new baby and had to happen sooner or later. I just hope it comes and goes and is not constant. At least I got a hand full of good shots. Here is my favorite of M.

Sorry about DS and dd but the pic is adorable. Love her hair!!! How old is DS? Mine is 4.5 and has been establishing his control lately which includes yelling at us and telling us he will NOT do xyz. He referred to himself as the kid boss the other day and I found it quite fitting. These little (big) attitudes are crazy!! I find myself saying "oh yes you will" more than I care too.
We had our friends over and have done nap for the day. I think we will get a redbox and frozen pizza and have a family night tonight. Anyone seen zootopia? I saw its out now and thought about renting that one but wasn't sure if it was appropriate for a 2 year old. Also I held my friends baby she recently had and it was great but made me sad that my baby girl isn't here yet! I did get to see DD with her though and it was so sweet. She helped hold her and kept holding her hand and patting her head. She just loved her and was calling her sissy. I had to explain that her sissy was in my tummy still. I'm excited to see her with her sister but I know it will be different when she's getting my attention every day. Hopefully she transitions ok.

DS was awake for like an hour this morning from 9:30-10:30ish. It is now 3:15 and besides nursing twice he's been asleep this whole time. Even when I nurse him I can't keep him awake to play.
Why or why couldn't he do this at 10 pm??
Stringy... Keep being strong and tough!! You've got this.
2dogs2kids- I'm having my Mom grab a Dick's gift card for my DH so I can give it to him for Father's Day. I'm very lame in this department myself.
packerfan4life.... I have all the same feels about sending my DD to daycare. I feel so shitty doing so but also super shitty when she's home and there's a baby attached to me. Fingers crossed your DD had a great day today!
babyzebra, I have! I am really trying to "break free" from depending on sleep aides, specifically Ambien, even though she says it's okay. So, even though I would probably get better rest if I just took the sleep medication, I am really trying to stick it out. I may change my mind next week when I am alone all week with both kids!!
My Mom leaves in a few hours and I am SO sad. I know I have been so fortunate to have help for 3 weeks now, but I am still so sad. I will miss the help and will miss having her around!
DD is 3 weeks old today!! I can't believe how fast time is flying.
I did nothing for Father's day. Told DH I was giving him a daughter as a joke, but seriously that's all I got him (3 weeks ago!) We will go out to brunch on Sunday morning though.
My mom and I too both girls to the zoo this morning. DD1 is napping and as soon as DD2 gets off my boob I will hand her to my mom so I can clean since friends are coming tonight.
Stringy Leaving a baby hungry for that long is not ok, but your attention getting strategy made me laugh!
Boobs hurt like hell today. I've been keeping up with 100% of the care stuff I left the hospital with, including the 800mg of ibuprofen. I feel like every time I try to cut a piece out of my routine it doesn't work out. Figured I could quit the Tucks pads... Turns out healing stitches ITCH. Decided to go without the pain killer today, but it has clearly been helping with a lot of aches and pains from breastfeeding and the accompanying muscle and breast soreness. I can probably downgrade to an Advil or two. I just so miss not being uncomfortable all the time! I know you guys can relate
broadwaymama love that dress! I'm sorry your older kids were so rowdy today.
csat I also had a nipple piercing years ago and I've always really worried that it could negatively impact nursing on that side -- I hope I have a similar experience to you and LO prefers it instead!

No exciting news from my appointment. Only 1cm dilated. Still scheduled for induction on Tuesday. Trying to stay positive and hoping to avoid induction but if not, I'm at least hoping for a successful induction.

Totally random but I was thinking it may be cool to update the roster to add birthdays and team green turned blue or pink to see how the board ends up. Is this crazy or do others think it'd be fun? I can't keep track of where everyone is and which babies have come already!!!

I had a similar thought the other day! I think it's a fun idea!

I've been thinking of mentioning this for a while! Birthdays, gender, gestational age, name (if people want to share). Anything else?
Good idea- I can't keep track of who has been born and who is left. It's weird to think some of our babies will be so many weeks apart. I could potentially have three more weeks. By then some babies will be almost two months!
My platelet count was up to 117 yesterday! So we think that the low count must have been a fluke or because I had a cold and my immune system was ramped up. Now my platelets just need to stay stable for a couple more days! Save
