cabbagecabbage I came across a bunch of the older bump photos I took and had the same thoughts! I posted a photo on Instagram at 18 weeks saying I wasn't sure how I could get even bigger...hahaha
Speaking of people who don't understand obstetrics...
DH's cousin's wife was induced yesterday due to being overdue. At 6 PM, my ILs were all "We haven't heard anything! The baby must be here by now, right? Should we call?"
Seriously. She probably checked into the hospital at noon at the earliest and got her first dose of whatever at 2 PM at the earliest. If she wasn't dilated at all, she could have gotten a cervical ripening agent overnight and no Pitocin til the next morning. But at 6 PM the ILs are sure the baby must have been born and everyone forgot to call them. God help me if I am induced.

18 weeks, lol! That was comparatively a piece of cake

sarcaztic10 props to you for going dairy and egg free in preparation for bf! I don't know why people feel the need to tell pregnant ladies what they should do.
mcktymck I would have already flipped my shit on your mom...I don't know how you've survived.
katelou my mom keeps asking if I'll deliver early bc she wants to change her plane ticket if I'll be early...hello I have no idea when this baby will arrive unless I have a planned c section. Due date is 100% accurate since we transfered a 5 day blast.
katelou my mother is the same way about my MW. After every appointment she asks me if they've changed my due date to sooner. My answer is verbatim - "I literally know the date we conceived, the due date will never ever change." And then she asks if I've seen an actual Doctor. ......
This is really annoying but still makes me laugh. My mom is not really onboard with midwives, and I've been asked many times when I'll see a doctor (I think there are 2 in our practice, but except for 1 time, I always see a MW or NP). I try to explain that midwives really are very qualified with labor. They can basically do everything a doctor can do except surgery. And I'm giving birth in a hospital so all should be fine. I haven't even told her I have a doula - I'm sure she will think that is just ridiculous!

Another +1 to wanting to TP people in regards to when the baby will come. DS was a week late, and multiple times a day, I'd get calls and texts from family members indicating that it was time for this baby to come. Baby and I needed to get on it. FIL wanted to be a grandfather. People needed to plan out their week. Um ok. I'll uncross my legs so baby can come out. If this baby is way overdue, I don't know what I'll do. My parents have plane tickets back home 5 days after my due date. They can change them, but I know it will be so stressful.
Add me to the you can't deliver on X day or week. My mom is adamant that I can't have this baby July 4th because she is on call.
In other news, I just booked a maid service to come deep clean my house next week!!!! I feel amazing! It was my Valentine's Day gift from Dh!
That is one of my goals for the year. To get a once a week/twice a month maid to do all the cleaning that I hate doing. I'm fine keeping clutter under control but dusting, bathrooms, etc. I am horrible at.

It's H's birthday today and the poor guy had to work 4am-5pm because there's a huge tournament at the golf course he works at. I already gave him his gifts yesterday because they were for Father's Day also, so tonight we're having my grandparents over and I'm making his favorite dinner and we're doing chocolate cream pie and presents to celebrate. Trying to keep it simple and relaxed but still do something, before he passes out and sleeps forever haha

I think we've decided it's not a great idea to push DD out of her crib if she's not ready. The practical side of me says 2 cribs is a waste, and we have 2 twin beds we aren't using, and I want it to all just make sense. On the other hand I don't really want to push her, I definitely don't want to deal with the transition while caring for a newborn, and a cheap second crib isn't really a big deal.

comicSans if it's not working, I think it's a good idea to go back to the crib. Especially with a baby on the way, there will be lots of changes happening! How old is your DD?

She's just 2 - 25 months. We've only half heartedly tried to see if she'd be interested in a non-crib. She likes her crib and was excited about moving it to the new room, just will have to be another time. She's not a climber so she could probably stay in the crib for another year. And when she's ready we can take the front rail off and still use it.
I just want everything perfect. Her crib skirt won't really match the new room, and I was going to change it for baby. Now I guess I'll have to just make a new one for baby. And we'll have to get another crib mattress. Little things, but it's hard to let go of the way I planned for things to go.

comicSans we decided not to transition ds out of the crib until Lo is 6 months. We'll keep her in our room in the travel crib like we did with ds. I wanted to try to get him in a bed but now is clearly not the time to be trying new things. Heck, I can't even get him to drink milk out of a cup. Pedi said just go with the flow and do what works for now. Changes will be tough with a new Lo.
It's technically Tuesday here, but I'm awake. DS just fell face first out of his bed into the wooden step stool. I was up and in ds's room before MH could comprehend what happened. I don't think I've never climbed a flight of stairs that fast!
Anyway, I'm wide awake and everyone else is asleep. DS was a trooper and asked for his boo boo buddy ice pack then went right back in bed.

Oh no! I hope he's okay! Glad to hear he went right back to bed. Amazing how quickly moms react!

J falls out of his bed once every week or two. He usually just gets up and climbs back into bed and goes back to sleep.
I am pretty sure if I fell out of bed, i would be up for the rest of the night.
