Today's saga:
This morning I went to run errands with C (my May 15 baby). When I was done, I put him back in the car, unloaded my cart, shut the door and he locked it... He had my keys and wallet. I called called 9-1-1. Thankfully there was already a police officer in the parking lot. He started getting the door open and C pushed the unlock button on my keys and I was able to open the door.
I'm thankful for the PD and the quick response time. I'm thankful it wasn't TOO hot today. I'm thankful for a friend for noticing me panicking from across the parking lot.
Lesson learned the hard way: don't give babies your keys.

I'm so paranoid about this because I'm notorious for locking my keys in the car. I always leave a door open when he's in he car, and I'm constantly hitting the unlock button on the door when I get out. My car has that thing where if it's idle for a few minutes it locks itself which has made me call AAA more than once.
Oh my goodness, so scary! My H asks me why I never close the kids' doors in the van until I am inside--this is exactly why! I am paranoid about locking them in the car!
