LO is already in his second outfit of the day because his diaper leaked out the leg... Some days he goes all day in the same clothes and some days we change him 2 or 3 times a day! Good thing we have a huge stash of 0-3 clothes!
We had a solid week of LO leaking, but mostly up his back, and we were constantly changing his clothes until we moved him into Size 1 diapers. Since then we've been mostly leak free and usually in just one outfit a day.

LO slept from 11-3, 5-7, and is asleep now (it's 9 here) I think he may have fallen asleep around 7:30. That's at least 7 hours. I feel like I won the lottery.
3 1/2 hours sleep? I'll take it! Hopefully can get another 3 in after this feeding.
G has also been leaky... Once we're through the 15-20 nb diapers we have we're moving on to 1's until that damn stump falls off!
So I fell asleep while burping G... Woke up when she slid off my shoulder and onto the bed... Still fast asleep. I fell back asleep after putting her in her cosleeprr comvimcing myself I am a good mom and she's fine. But holy cow! I had my phone in my hands reading something on the parenting board and I just passed out. Any tips on staying awake? Ugh.
So DS2 is joining doesn't like to sleep unless he's being held club. That will make things rough when DH goes back to work. We bought a rock and play to see if that will help.
DS1 however, slept the entire night in his own bed. I hope it wasn't a fluke. He even slept in a little bit. Apparently he stripped himself down and peed on his pjs before DH went in to get him, but at least he wasn't poopy, right?

I know this isn't a staying awake tip but can you side lay while nursing? That way if you fall asleep lo won't fall since lo is laying next to you? I was reading that burping is mostly a bottle feed issue unless you have a really heavy let down. That most women in other countries who ebf don't even burp their babies since the gas is often created by the fast flow of bottle drinking.

My let down is pretty gnarly but dd isn't a good burper. It does make her gassy when she doesn't but she never cries or seems upset by it. I try to keep her upright and give up after half an hour. I still haven't tried side lying only cause I'm not that confident bfing quite yet.
LO slept really well last night. 11-3:30 and 5-8:30. I must have been out of my mind because I couldn't sleep for the life of me. Now I'm feeling pretty sleep deprived. I will never let a night of sleep like that pass me up again.

After 3 weeks I finally have a swing and OH MY GOD IT'S AMAZING!!! I am about to go have a shower while she's sleeping in it. I've been struggling to get her to sleep not in my arms during the day. This swing is like magic haha

Well the baby didn't spit up again, but one of the cats threw up. Gah mondays. I just spend my days in bodily fluids that are not my own (even that would be a bit gross).

Woo hoo Monday! I was called 'honey' by the man at the dealership doing my oil change and then gifted a free tire rotation that is normally 13.99. Either I must be rockin' these black leggings or my baby's really cute! I know he's cute but I'm gonna go with the leggings
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!
My baby is a week old. Eeeeeee! Its funny because he looks like his older brother and isabout 3 weeks ahead of where i was at this point with ds 1 since I already know about Co sleeping and side laying etc. ds 1 was nearly 2 weeks early and this one was nearly a week late so they're even the same in that regard, since there's nearly 3 weeks of extra baking for the little one.
I was cleaning my FIs closet and the wall is completely molded. We are renting a log home and I'm assuming moisture is leaking in through the walls. I pulled everything out to wash it and when LO goes down for his nap I'm bleaching it all out. Man, this is not what I needed right now. It makes me paranoid. I want to check all the places.
I bragged earlier about LO sleeping for a long stretch...then from 7:30am to 12:30 she was awake for all but 30 minutes. Since when do 5 week old babies stay awake for nearly 5 1/2 hour stretches?! At least she wasn't crabby. Now do I nap or shower? Shower because I have to run to Kroger.

I'm off to my home town to use my grandparents computer because mine won't stop freezing. While I'm there I think I'm stopping at the school to have my mom who's the nurse listen to B. He woke up in the MOTN stuffy and now he makes gasping noises once in a while. Hoping it's just me being paranoid after all we've been through.
Last night all I wanted was a little bit of sleep. I asked DH to take her and give her a bottle the next feeding... I woke up two hours later and hear the poor girl crying in the living room and DH is playing his video games. Are you freaking kidding me? I got so nasty with him but I got up and took care of her. He tried making it up though when his game was over by taking her when she decided to fuss for over an hour. Now we're waiting for the ac repairman to get here. It's been broken for 2 days now and it's 80 degrees in here. I'm miserable. On the plus side, knowing the repairman was coming, DH actually cleaned our place up some so it looks a bit nicer. It's gone to hell since we had the baby.
I have to go get a new letter from my OB that clears me for work. Then I get to call and schedule my appointment with the city doctor so they can clear me. At this rate, I should make it back to work by next week or next month. Who knows with this city.

Tell me more about this club that earns ppl sleep, at night no less!! LO is 14 days and sleeps so much worse at night still. I can get her to take a fair nap without getting fussy during the day but at night, she's attached to my chest or in my arms all the time! We stink at the swaddle and she breaks free every time. Hopefully she'll just catch on to the day/night change soon on her own? We're trying to keep things light during the day and dim/quiet at night.
On the bright side, she gained 18 oz in 12 days!!! I was a very proud mom at our 2 week Appt.

Sigh. Doesn't look like I'll be going on a walk today. Our stroller is in the back of DH'S car and LO has freaked out each time I try to put him in my wrap. I've tried twice so far. Oh well. It'd be a little warm in there outside anyways. I guess I'll nap while LO is napping on my chest.

DD came into the living room this morning while I was nursing Beau, lifted up her shirt and put her doll to her chest looked at me and said "what are you looking at I have special milk in my boobs too". I couldn't help but bust out laughing. She's 3
I hate how lack of sleep makes me hungry. Logically I know I'm just tired but my body thinks it needs food to keep going. Makes trying to lose weight super fun.
