Stupid insurance company had an engineering firm come look at our roof and apparently it was determined that our missing shingles and other damage was not done by wind, it was man-made damage. So basically they're saying that we must have went up and tore shingles off our roof. So they won't cover the cost of damages. WTAF.

Um, wut? What about all your neighbors who have roof damage from the same storm?

Right? And got their roofs completely replaced through insurance. I am just in shock.
Eta: And I'm angry. This is what insurance is for. This is why we give a freakin insurance company money every year.

It's totally outrageous. You should threaten to sue, seriously...I get so mad when insurance companies don't act at least somewhat reasonably in good faith.
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

I put in another claim yesterday because our roof is worse than it was a month ago when they sent the engineer out. We've had two hail storms since then that also left dents in our siding and air conditioner. I mean, unless I took a hammer out there and damaged my home on purpose, I'm pretty sure it was the hail.

I checked and I think your state (yup that's me in your bushes) may not have the awesome consumer protection laws that specifically address insurance claims (and give you extra damages which is what gets the scared). But you can threaten to sue anyway. They can't just deny claims for bogus reasons. Ugh. I'm so mad for you!!

Yeah I just don't understand how they can even determine the cause of a shingle being ripped off. What kind of proof can they offer? And there's proof that a storm went through here.

It's so annoying. Squeaky wheel gets the oil so I'd just be the biggest pain in their necks until someone agrees to re-evaluate. I'd lay out all the things you know, like dates of storms, similar damage to other homes, etc. in a letter or email, too.

The insurance company is emailing MH the report from the engineering firm (which was technically the second opinion since the adjuster said damages weren't bad enough to fix) and I plan to have him email them back with our feelings on the matter. Plus we're bugging them with an additional claim since the newest storms.

I love you and I totally see you doing this right now.

Strawberry beer sounds yummers, nobb14 ! I'm on the boat on a gorgeous day but am not having a drink bc the line is really long for the bar and I'm too lazy.

My period is almost 2 days late. I've tested negative on all pregnancy tests and am past the TWW. I have every symptom of CD1 minus the actual flow. This has literally never happened to me before. Why now, the very first cycle in over a year of trying?!

You're doing this whole summer thing right. But you need a drink. Try snapping your fingers and see if one gets delivered to your hand!
