gratefulgirl, I'm glad you spoke to the dr about your ketones. I had a ketone issue shortly after being diagnosed and when I called they had me go in to l&d. He recommendations they made to me was to eat more. Apparently ketones have something to do with nutrition too and so if you're not eating as much as your body needs your ketone levels are higher. I do ketones every morning.
Question for everyone. There's a 5k coming up for the 4th of July. The next one in the series is mid August. There is an award for doing all 5ks. Assuming my dr says it's ok, should I do it?
Absolutely! If your dr is ok with it and you feel up to it, you go girl! Even with IU I still am cleared to walk 3 miles a few times a week

If your doctor says you're good to go and you feel good to go, why not?
dorkusmalorkus, thanks for the link. I am not sure if I can get the book here, but I will look into the website for sure. A personal question for you if you don't mind.... has your breasts changed since being pregnant? Mine have not, they were sore and my nipples are too now even, but they have not grown at all. I read that that can be a sign that it won't work and I am just curious what your experience in that regard has been.
As far as the attitude goes, I have never really had the want to breast feed and will try because I know how good it is for the babies. But it has never been something that I felt compelled to do. If that makes sence. So I hope I can, but if not then thats ok too.
Thanks!
I also had a reduction, was only Able (we drove cross country and it was to much to breast feed so just went to the bottle) to breast feed DD for about two months with supplementing.
The book is great! Really helped with figuring out if I was even going to be able to. I'm hoping this time everything goes better but who knows
Any one have any tips to deal with pins and needles in your feet? All of a sudden today they are in agony horrible when I'm standing on them and still some pain laying down

I had a growth scan today (and BPP - I kind of don't understand the difference) so I didn't have to have the NST. Baby is in the 60th% and Doctor says everything looks good! It's so cool that they can see hair on his little head - what!!!

I picked up a maternity pelvic support belt today. It looks ridiculous but after putting it on, my back felt instantly way better. Now I'm just hoping it's not too hot next week so I can wear a tank, the belt, and another shirt over it a couple days on vacation, especially when we spend a day walking around the zoo!

I'm guessing this is related to swelling, so compression socks might help

Sure. I'm not a runner but hiked all the way to the end with DD as long as you feel good and don't get too hot give it a try.

Even if it is a little hot, ware it! It makes all the difference in the world. My doctor had me get one a few months ago. I feel so much better if I just put it on in the morning and take it off in the evening. Other wise I am done moving by noon. One tip is to put the belt under or over your maternity pants. Under is the best because you don't have to take it off to potty. But the fabric will keep it in place and help to hide it from being seen through your shirt.

I have very little swelling so I'm not sure why it's happening

I had talked myself into letting DH go to the concert. I was going to have my mom come stay with me and figured it would be one night then he would be home until I cleared him to go hunting or fishing. So he got home and I mentioned it to him. He has no interest in going, he said though he is super impressed with the harmonys and such, it's just not his style for a concert. He does plan to get his parents tickets.
So it's been downpour raining today. As I was leaving a doctor appointment (non-OB) I was walking down the outside steps and stepped into a puddle at the bottom and my cheap-o old navy flip flop must have gotten stuck in the water & when I then tried to lift my foot up the sandal fell apart and I fell to the ground. I landed on my butt & my leg was twisted but nothing serious. I then had to twist all weird to get myself out of this awkward position (& in general imagine a 34w pregnant lady trying to get off from flat on the ground). It was hard. I'm fine but now I'm like ugh!!! Is the baby ok? I didn't land on my stomach & I don't have cramps but you just never know bc of the impact of the fall. And I called the OB but got the press 1 for *****emergencies only***** prompt (it was right after 5pm). Well it's not an emergency so i didn't press it. I've been contacting my dr off the hook for all these different issues lately and I swear she must think I'm super annoying which is why I was hesitant to overreact. Now if I had bleeding or bad cramps or anything like that I would have rushed myself to l&d. But I feel fine & still do so fingers crossed there is no placenta abruption or anything like that happened. I have a routine apt & non-stress test tomorrow anyway.
Please let this baby come out alive. I am getting so close.

katelm That's so stressful, I'm sorry that happened! Thank goodness you didn't land on your stomach but if anything feels amiss, you should call. Never feel guilty about looking out for your baby!

Went out to dinner tonight with friends. I ate approximately 1/4 of my meal and have spent the last 2.5 hours feeling like I need to vomit because I am so stuffed. I'm really tired of this. I've been trying hard not to complain because I am so grateful to still be pregnant... but I am getting really tired of feeling miserable every time I eat or drink anything. And I'm worried my babies are not getting enough nutrition at this point.
Also, is anyone else having diarrhea? It's new for me, I really haven't had it this pregnancy except the last 4 days straight.
So not pregnant anymore but bocaburger I had diarrhea for a full week before I delivered. I think it was either tdap or I was so swollen I just couldn't have a full bm. So it just passed as diarrhea. Maybe the twins or pressing to much on bowels?

katelm When I was pregnant with DD (around this same number of weeks, actually), I slipped down the entire flight of stairs from our back deck on my back (the stairs were wet & I was in flip-flops) and landed on my tailbone. When I called the ob, they offered for me to go in and get checked out, but because there was no fluid leaking or bleeding, they weren't super concerned. I'd bet you're fine, but if you need the peace of mind, give them a call in the morning.

hollyberry Mine were sore at the beginning of each of my pregnancies, but that tapered off for the most part pretty quickly. I didn't think they'd grown much until we went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd wear one of my pre-maternity underwire bras....Yeah, I've grown some. I *think* I did during my other pregnancies, too, but can't remember for sure.

bocaburger I had an upset stomach & loose stools for several days in a row last week. Now it's more like constipation. I wonder if hormones can change it
