So I went today at 6+4 for the ultrasound. Baby measured 6+2 with a heartbeat of 54. I know that's really low. But not impossibly so right? It maybe just started beating? I'm in limbo until the follow up next Friday I guess, but so far things are going exactly like they did with my 3 previous losses so not having a great time staying positive right now.

*lurking
I wouldn't worry about the dates, my two babes always measured like 4-5 days behind in the beginning. Heart could also have just started. Thinking positively for you!

Massive ((hugs)) meladorie . Limbo sucks, as you unfortunately know way too well.
ETA: now would be a good time to ask your provider if there is anything they can do to provide extra reassurance, since TLC right now is so critical for us RPL moms.

I am sorry you are in limbo, thats the worst place to be. But keep telling yourself what pp have said. It could all be true. Being a couple days behind I NBD. I hvae everything crossed that baby will have grown and the HB is stronger next friday. Those firat weeks are always the worst. Try to take it day by day and repeat the mottos. Hugs!

I will also agree with PP's that it's possible the heart beat just recently started. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you between now and next Friday.

Just sending big ((hugs)). That does seem low, but I think they usually don't see the heartbeat on ultrasound until it's had some time to get going and get stronger, so maybe you managed to catch a very early heartbeat? I don't know. No matter what, it's a hard place to be and you can only just take things a minute at a time. I'm so sorry for you to have to be in that place.
But let's be honest. The heart rate shouldn't be that low even when it first starts. Isn't it supposed to start higher than that?
I wish I knew... Did your doctor offer any insight on this? I can imagine the uncertainty of having to wait for Friday's scan must be really unsettling, and I'm so sorry you're going through it. I'm thinking of you and sending hugs, lady.
My doctor was very vague. He said we just have to wait and see.

I'm so sorry your Doc wasn't able to provide more insight. While I"m not sure about the hb I know that with this pregnancy I was measuring behind 2 days and by the second u/s was right back on track. The u/s tech reminded me that there are so many variables that go into those measurements and that they only pay attention if there is more than 5 days difference between measurement and where the baby should be.
((((HUGS)))) I hate waiting. Would there be any way they can squeeze you in for an u/s earlier? I'm thinking of you, lady.
Me (37) + DH (39) BFP #1: DS born July 2011 BFPs #2,3,4,5: Four losses from Nov 2013-Nov 2014. Yeah, that sucked. BFP #6: 1/5/15 - Rainbow baby boy born 9/16/15
But let's be honest. The heart rate shouldn't be that low even when it first starts. Isn't it supposed to start higher than that?
When we went for the 1st ultrasound of the last one we lost, the baby was measuring small and the heartbeat was slow. However, neither the dr or the tech were concerned because they thought the heart had just started too and since my dates weren't exact, they thought I had just o'd later than normal...so I think that if they catch the heart when it first starts beating, that doesn't always indicate a problem. Fingers crossed you get positive answers.
